Clady is expected to miss the 2015 season after tearing his left ACL during Wednesday's practice, ESPN reports.
This is obviously a huge blow for the Broncos, who will be without their primary pass-protector for the duration of the season. At this point, it's unclear where they'll look for immediate help at tackle. Denver selected Ty Sambrailo out of Colorado State in the second round, but the team could also look to the free agent market for a more experienced option to protect Peyton Manning's blind side.

Broncos placed LT Ryan Clady (foot, injured reserve) has shed his cast in favor of a walking boot.
It's just a sign that Clady's rehab is on schedule. Clady should be back to 100 percent well ahead of next summer's training camp.

Tue Sep 17 201318:05Report: Short-term IR a possibility for Clady
Profootballtalk reports the Broncos are "still evaluating all options" with LT Ryan Clady (sprained foot), including injured reserve/designated to return.
It's unclear if Clady's sprain is actually of the Lisfranc variety, but a trip to short-term IR would be a strong sign that it is. Clady wouldn't be eligible to return until Week 11 if he got slapped with the "designated to return" tag. The Broncos are going with Chris Clark at left tackle in Week 3, and likely for many weeks beyond.

Mon Sep 16 201318:38Report: Ryan Clady could be done for season
The Denver Post reports Broncos LT Ryan Clady (foot) may need season-ending surgery.
Clady left Sunday's game against the Giants late in the fourth quarter with what has been diagnosed as a Lisfranc sprain in his left foot. The Broncos are still gathering medical opinions, but season-ending surgery is a real possibility. Placing Clady on short-term injured reserve is another option. In that scenario, Clady wouldn't be able to return until Week 11. What we do know is that Clady will miss "at least a few weeks." Chris Clark will step in on Peyton Manning's blind side for the foreseeable future. It's a steep downgrade.

Mon Sep 16 201314:34Report: Broncos LT Clady has Lisfranc sprain
The Denver Post's Brandon Krisztal reports Broncos LT Ryan Clady has been diagnosed with a Lisfranc sprain in his left foot.
Even when X-rays come back clean, MRIs can show severe sprains and that appears to be the case here. Per Krisztal, there is "no timetable" on Clady's return. The injury may help explain backup LT Chris Clark's two-year contract extension, which was inked on Monday morning. The Broncos have not used their short-term injured reserve designation, and could apply it to Clady. Peyton Manning is such an effective pocket mover that we don't anticipate any real drop-off in Denver's offensive production. They play the pass rush-deficient Raiders in Week 3.

Ryan Clady (shoulder) is expected to play in the Broncos' third preseason game.

Sat Aug 10 201319:23Ryan Clady (shoulder) returns to practice
Broncos LT Ryan Clady (shoulder) returned to practice Saturday.
Clady is working his way back from offseason shoulder surgery, but was able to participate in team drills on a limited basis for the first time in training camp. "We're obviously taking that slow and trying to be as smart as possible,'' coach John Fox said. "We're still trying to get Ryan ready for the opener. At this stage everything is on target.''

Mon Jul 15 201321:38Clady hopes to be cleared by early August
Broncos LT Ryan Clady (shoulder surgery) hopes to be cleared by early August.
Fresh off signing a new five-year, $52.5 million contract on Sunday, Clady's focus shifts to being ready for the NFL opener versus the Ravens on September 5. Although he was away from the team for much of the spring, team doctors have been bringing Clady in for regular checkups on his torn labrum. The Broncos are reportedly "confident" he'll be protecting Peyton Manning's blind side Week 1.

Sun Jul 14 201320:49Broncos ink Clady to five-year extension
Broncos signed left tackle Ryan Clady to a five-year, $57.5 million contract, including $33 million guaranteed.
Clady was the most likely of the franchised players to get the long-term deal he was seeking, and both sides finally came to an agreement. ESPN reported earlier the Broncos had upped their contract offer to $52.5 million over five years, but the ending figure was $5 million beyond that. Of course, guaranteed money is always key when analyzing new deals, and it appears Clady did well by getting over 57% of his contract guaranteed. The extension ensures Peyton Manning will have his blindside protected for the remainder of his career.

Sun Jul 14 201311:21Broncos new Clady offer: 5 years, $53 million
According to ESPN's John Clayton, the Broncos' "sweetened" contract offer to franchise player Ryan Clady consists of $500,000 more in annual value.
The Broncos seem to have leaked this information nationally in an effort to pressure Clady's camp. The old offer was $50 million over five years. The new proposal is worth $52.5 million at the same length, and Clayton reports the Broncos are willing to "guarantee significantly more than 50 percent of the contract," making it an awfully enticing offer. We wouldn't be surprised if a long-term Clady deal was announced Sunday afternoon or early Monday.

Sat Jul 13 201314:49Broncos, Clady deal 'should get done'
Sources with knowledge of the negotiations tell ProFootballTalk.com that a long-term deal between the Broncos and LT Ryan Clady "should get done."
We've been hearing over the past few days that Clady has the best chance of all the franchised players to receive a long-term deal. If the Broncos don't sign Clady by Monday, he can avoid reporting to training camp and playing in preseason without any penalty. With Peyton Manning's protection being a priority, it would appear Clady holds all the leverage at this point. We expect the sides to hammer out a deal prior to Monday's deadline.

Fri Jul 12 201318:55'Optimism' Broncos will lock up LT Ryan Clady
FOX Sports' Mike Garafolo reports there is "optimism growing" the Broncos will lock up franchise player LT Ryan Clady to a long-term deal.
One aspect of Denver's increased Clady talks not many have discussed is the fact that team doctors must be quite pleased with his recovery from serious offseason shoulder surgery. Per Garafolo, sources with knowledge of the Clady discussions say the sides are "closer than they've been" with a "gap" that still must be bridged by Monday's deadline. ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported earlier Friday that Peyton Manning is optimistic his blindside protector will be locked up for the foreseeable future.

Wed Jul 10 201318:54'Significant' work to do in Ryan Clady talks
NFL.com's Albert Breer reports the Broncos still have "significant" ground to cover in long-term talks with unsigned franchise player LT Ryan Clady.
Per Breer, there's also been "no real progress" between Jairus Byrd, Michael Johnson, Henry Melton, Branden Albert, Anthony Spencer and their respective teams ahead of Monday's deadline. Clady and Byrd are the only franchise players yet to even sign their tenders. The lea leaves suggest Clady and the Broncos are closer than not, but that Byrd and the Bills won't come to an accord.

Mon Jul 8 201318:19Report: Broncos up their offer to LT Clady
The Denver Post reports the Broncos have "sweetened" their offer to unsigned franchise player LT Ryan Clady.
The Broncos offered Clady a five-year, $50 million contract last summer, and they reportedly upped the offer a bit on Monday. The proposed deal would make Clady one of the top-three highest-paid offensive linemen in the league. The two sides resumed contract talks today, and it certainly looks like there's a real possibility a deal will be hammered out before next Monday's deadline.

Mon Jul 8 201311:09Broncos expected to resume talks with Clady
The Denver Post confirms the Broncos are expected to resume contract talks with unsigned franchise player LT Ryan Clady this week.
It's only a matter of time before Clady signs his one-year tender, but the sides have just seven more days to reach a long-term agreement. Broncos VP John Elway wants to ensure Clady's surgically-repaired shoulder is 100 percent before handing out a multi-year deal. Failing to reach an agreement this summer would put the Broncos in danger of losing Peyton Manning's blindside protector next offseason, though he could be tagged for the second consecutive year.

Tue Jul 2 201312:56Ryan Clady to get new offer from Broncos soon
The Broncos are expected to make franchise player LT Ryan Clady a new contract offer next week.
Clady is one of two franchise players that have not signed their one-year tender. The other is Bills' S Jairus Byrd. The deadline for all franchise players to sign a long-term deal is July 15, so the time is now for a sense of urgency from both parties. Clady's camp and the Broncos reportedly exchanged proposals last month, but VP John Elway said he wants to get a long look at Clady's surgically-repaired shoulder before making a massive financial commitment. Peyton Manning's blindside protector will be seeking at least $35 million guaranteed.
