Fokou was released by the Titans on Saturday, The Tennessean reports.
Fokou inked a two-year deal to land in Tennessee prior to the 2013 season, but a knee injury sustained last October limited him to 12 games. Fri Feb 28 201415:33Moise Fokou struggled for Titans in 2013
Titans MLB Moise Fokou graded out among Pro Football Focus' 10 worst inside linebackers both in coverage and against the run in 2013.
Fokou finished the season as PFF's No. 53 of 55 qualifying inside linebackers despite missing four games last season. Middle linebacker has been a soft spot for the Titans since Stephen Tulloch's departure in 2011. Fokou is signed through 2014, but it's unclear how he'll fit into new defensive coordinator Ray Horton's plans.

A Monday MRI confirmed Titans MLB Moise Fokou's sprained knee is "nothing major."

Wed Oct 9 201320:00Titans happy with Fokou as every-down backer
The Titans have no plans to remove Moise Fokou as their every-down linebacker.
Fokou has played on 97.6 percent of Tennessee's defensive snaps despite not being their best linebacker against the pass and is expected to continue to be used in dime packages over Zach Brown. "We have found no reason to take Moses off the field," position coach Chet Parlavecchio said. "It's been always a traditional thing, the 'Mike' linebacker runs the show. We have a situation here where our Mike is very comfortable. It's not just about him, it's about the way he communicates adjustments, the way he recognizes formation."

Sun Aug 18 201317:14Fokou expected to start Week 1
The Nashville Tennessean expects Moise Fokou to be the Titans' starting middle linebacker in Week 1.
Colin McCarthy is "still slowed" by a lingering hamstring injury. Fokou, a former seventh-round pick, signed a two-year, $2.8 million deal in March to be a reserve utility 'backer. Pro Football Focus did give Fokou solid marks in run defense last year, but he was a situational player for the Colts.

Mon Aug 12 201313:31Fokou pulling away from Colin McCarthy?
The Nashville Tennessean believes Moise Fokou is beginning to distance himself from Colin McCarthy (hamstring) at middle linebacker.
McCarthy simply can't stay on the practice field. Fokou is expected to make his second consecutive preseason start on Saturday after running with the first team all offseason. It's a concern for a Titans team with holes all over its defense, as Fokou is little better than replacement-level. He's better suited for a reserve/special teams role.

Thu Jul 18 201313:09LB Fokou an 'offseason star' for Titans
The Nashville Tennessean named LB Moise Fokou an "offseason star" for the Titans.
Fokou signed a two-year deal with the Titans in March, and he got a lot of work with the first-team defense in pad-less spring practices with MLB Colin McCarthy working his way back from injuries. The Titans want Fokou to push McCarthy for the starting job, and it's going to be a position battle to monitor for IDP purposes. If healthy, McCarthy should win the job with ease.
