Tulloch feels strong at Lions camp after missing most of 2014 with a torn ACL in his left knee, Josh Katzenstein of The Detroit News reports.
Tulloch had played in 131 consecutive games to start his career before last season's season-ending injury. In his last full season, 2013, Tulloch notched 135 tackles with 3.5 sacks and an interception. He tallied 20 tackles and two sacks in less than three games of work in 2014. Defensive coordinator Teryl Austin said that he was excited by the experience Tulloch and weakside linebacker DeAndre Levy bring to the middle of Detroit's defense. Tahir Whitehead, who manned the middle after Tulloch went down in 2014, currently sits atop the depth chart as the Lions' starting strongside linebacker.

Tulloch is expected to be ready for training camp after tearing his ACL in Week 3 of the 2014 season, the Lions' official site reports.
The recovery process continues for Tulloch, as he was limited in OTAs and minicamp this offseason. The 30-year-old should be a participant in some capacity at training camp, however, and is expected to start at middle linebacker to begin the 2015 campaign. In the three games he saw the field last season, Tulloch recorded 20 tackles and two sacks.

Tulloch tore his ACL on Sunday and is out for the season, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
With Tulloch -- who suffered the injury Sunday while celebrating a sack -- out for the year, look for fellow linebackers DeAndre Levy and Tahir Whitehead to see added opportunities in the Lions' defense going forward.

Tulloch was removed from Sunday's game against the Packers with a knee injury, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. He returned to the Detroit sideline in street clothes and appears to be done for the day.
Tulloch recorded a sack of Aaron Rodgers in the first quarter but paid a hefty price for it, coming up lame after he leaped to celebrate the takedown. The Lions should have more information regarding the extent of his injury after the game.

Lions MLB Stephen Tulloch has topped triple-digit total tackles in each of his last five seasons.
The underrated Tulloch was rock solid for the Lions last season, grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 4 inside linebacker out of of 55 qualifiers. Tulloch is a high floor, low ceiling LB2 option for those in IDP circles.

Lions MLB Stephen Tulloch revealed he played the entire 2013 season through knee tendinitis.
"Probably one of the hardest years I had to deal with in my career playing through injuries," said Tulloch, who now claims he's feeling "the best I've felt in a long time ... like night and day." Tulloch still racked up 112 tackles and six pass breakups. Improved health should help Tulloch's range this season.

Lions MLB Stephen Tulloch (left knee tendinitis) isn't participating in this week's minicamp.

Lions MLB Stephen Tulloch insists his case of left knee tendinitis is "nothing major."
"It's something that you deal with and everybody deals with it," he said. Coach Jim Schwartz revealed Monday that Tulloch required an injection to "settle (his knee) down," and can't put any weight on his left leg. Tulloch is not expected to participate in June minicamp, and may not be 100 percent by training camp.

Tue May 22 201208:37Stephen Tulloch can't put any weight on leg
Lions MLB Stephen Tulloch (left knee tendinitis) can't put any weight on his left leg.
"He had tendinitis and we did an injection to settle it down," coach Jim Schwartz said. "He's not weight-bearing (on his leg) right now. We will get it settled down and there won't be surgery or anything like that." Schwartz would only confirm that Tulloch will be sidelined through May, but he's not expected to participate in June's minicamp. His health is something for IDP league players to monitor in the run up to training camp.

Mon May 21 201221:11Schwartz: Lions Tulloch to miss '3-4' weeks
Updating an earlier story, Lions MLB Stephen Tulloch (knee tendinitis) is expected to miss the next 3-4 weeks.
Thought to only be out for this month's OTAs, Tulloch will also miss the team's June minicamp, according to coach Jim Schwartz. The good news is that he will not need surgery. A red flag certainly needs to be attached to Tulloch, but he should be fine in plenty of time for Week 1. The 27-year-old signed a five-year, $25.5 million extension in March.

Mon May 21 201210:44Stephen Tulloch not participating in OTAs
MLB Stephen Tulloch isn't participating in Lions OTAs as he deals with a case of knee tendinitis.
Obviously unideal news, but it isn't believed to be a serious issue. Tulloch was limited in training camp for the Titans in 2009 as he dealt with a knee injury, but has never missed a regular season game in seven NFL campaigns. He'll be a go for camp.

Tue Mar 20 201216:01Report: Lions re-sign Tulloch to 5-year deal
Profootballtalk reports the Lions have re-signed MLB Stephen Tulloch to a five-year contract.
Details aren't in yet, but it's good bet that Tulloch came close to D'Qwell Jackson's $42.5 million contract after restoring his value with a fine 2011 season in which he led the team in tackles. The Lions did well to retain Tulloch and franchise player Cliff Avril on an improving defense. Tulloch's signing should put the wheels in motion for the rest of the inside linebackers on the market to begin settling in.

Tue Mar 20 201211:26Report: Tulloch seeking $6M per season
MLive.com reports free agent MLB Stephen Tulloch is seeking a contract that will pay him "no less" than $6 million per season.
It's not quite D'Qwell Jackson money, but it's close. Although GM Martin Mayhew said Monday the sides were having "very productive conversations," the Lions are "currently unwilling" to meet Tulloch's monetary demands. They'll host free agent MLB David Hawthorne in a leverage play on Tuesday.

Mon Mar 19 201221:40Lions have 'very productive' talks w/ Tulloch
Lions GM Martin Mayhew says the team has had "very productive conversations" with free agent MLB Stephen Tulloch.
"We're very hopeful we can reach an agreement with him sometime soon," Mayhew said at a fan event Monday. "I plan on talking with his agent tonight or tomorrow and we'll keep trying to get that done." After scanning the market for cheaper alternatives, the Lions appear ready to re-up their 2011 tackle leader.

Sun Mar 18 201220:08Lions making push to re-sign Tulloch
NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports that the Lions are making a "strong push" to re-sign free agent Stephen Tulloch.
The Lions have flirted with free agent MLB David Hawthorne, but they'd prefer to have Tulloch back. Tulloch is rumored to be seeking D'Qwell Jackson money. The Lions probably won't pay that -- especially in a virtually untouched and still-rich inside linebacker market -- but they don't want him to get away.

Sun Mar 18 201208:59Lions still interested in re-signing Tulloch
The Detroit Free Press reports the Lions still hope to re-sign free agent MLB Stephen Tulloch.
Tulloch has yet to so much as even line up a visit in free agency, so it could be a while before he comes off the market. Reportedly seeking a deal greater than the five-year, $42.5 million extension signed by D'Qwell Jackson last month, Tulloch could be misreading the market for the second time in as many years.

Thu Mar 15 201214:54Report: Tulloch aims to top D'Qwell's $42.5M
Free agent MLB Stephen Tulloch is reportedly seeking a long-term deal that will top that of Browns MLB D'Qwell Jackson's five-year, $42.5 million contract.
Jackson also landed $19 million in guarantees and bonuses. Tulluch settled for a one-year, $3.2 million contract last summer after misjudging his market. Tulloch is coming off a fine season, finishing 17th in the NFL in tackles, but he plays the wrong position. With a glut of inside linebackers available, NFL teams are slow-playing the market.

Mon Mar 12 201217:06Stephen Tulloch planning to hit open market
Free agent MLB Stephen Tulloch plans to test the open market.
"My family and my situation going on, I just want to continue to play football and get what I deserve, and that's what it boils down to," Tulloch said in a Monday radio interview. "And hopefully, things can work out (in Detroit). If not, I know another team will step in there and do what's right and move forward to win some ballgames." The cap-strapped Lions will have a hard time signing Tulloch to a long-term deal if he reaches free agency.
