Laurinaitis picked up a sack and five tackles Sunday as St. Louis took out Arizona 24-22.
Laurinaitis isn't having a monster season with 29 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble through four games. However, with fellow linebacker Alec Ogletree out for the season, Laurinaitis may have to pick up the slack and remains in line for another triple-digit tackle season

Laurinaitis topped 100 tackles again in 2014 and added 3.5 sacks.

Laurinaitis recorded six tackles Thursday but the Rams fell to the Cardinals 12-6.
After a semi-slow start to the season, Laurinaitis has picked it up in the last five weeks, tallying 37 tackles and 2.5 sacks. He's no longer a premier IDP, but still has 91 tackles on the year.

Laurinaitis (foot) returned to practice in a limited capacity Thursday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
It appears Laurinaitis should play Sunday against Denver after missing Wednesday's practice. The Rams will need him, as they will be facing perhaps the most potent offense in the league. Laurinaitis had only four tackles last weekend, however, and has faded in his IDP consideration over the last year or two.

Laurinaitis recovered a fumble, registered a sack and made six tackles in Sunday's 13-10 win against San Francisco.
Laurinaitis is not having a great season, but he really had things going on Sunday. He's only on pace for 88 tackles on the season and has seen his IDP stock sink considerably, but perhaps Sunday could turn things around for him.

Laurinaitis totaled nine tackles Sunday as the Rams fell to the Cowboys 34-31.

Laurinaitis picked up five tackles in a 34-6 loss to the Vikings on Sunday.
Not much went right for the St. Louis defense Sunday, and Laurinaitis didn't do much from a fantasy perspective either. He has more competition for tackles with fellow linebackers Jo-Lonn Dunbar and Alec Ogletree, so his days of being a dominant IDP are likely over.

Laurinaitis (ankle) has resumed practicing, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Jim Thomas reports.
Back and taking part in 7-on-7 drills on Wednesday, Laurinaitis' return to health solidifies him as an IDP consideration at the linebacker slot in most formats.
Tue Aug 12 201423:31Laurinaitis (ankle) still not practicing
Laurinaitis (ankle) is still not practicing, Rams News Now reports.
The Rams know what they have in Laurinaitis, so they certainly aren't going to risk their top linebacker at training camp. He's unlikely to play in St. Louis' second preseason game, but could return for its third.
Sat Aug 2 201415:01Laurinaitis dealing with mild ankle sprain
Laurinaitis is dealing with a mild ankle sprain, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Jim Thomas reports.
Although Laurinaitis is wearing a walking boot at Saturday's practice, the injury is not considered serious. The Rams' depth at linebacker is shaky, so it would be a big concern if the injury were to linger.
Mon Apr 21 201414:57James Laurinaitis recovered from ankle scope
Rams MLB James Laurinaitis underwent ankle surgery just after the 2013 season.
It was a "cleanup" procedure, and Laurinaitis is "full speed now." The 27-year-old Mike 'backer is coming off a disappointing season, particularly in run defense. The Rams are scheduled to pay him a whopping $10 million salary in 2014.

Sat Sep 8 201213:45Rams lock up MLB Laurinaitis for five years
Rams signed MLB James Laurinaitis to a five-year, $41.5 million contract extension.
The deal includes $23.5 million guaranteed and runs through the 2017 season. Laurinaitis was entering the final year of his rookie deal and is still set to make just $620,000 in 2012. He has quietly become one of the better Mike linebackers in the league and locking him up along with LE Chris Long is a great start to the Les Snead tenure in St. Louis. Laurinaitis has yet to miss a game in his three-year career.

Sun Jul 29 201223:19Laurinaitis next in line for extension?
In the wake of DE Chris Long's four-year extension, coach Jeff Fisher promises "more" deals to come.
The Rams website interprets Fisher's comments as "undoubtedly" referring to contract talks with MLB James Laurinaitis. One of the league's most underpaid players, Laurinaitis is due to earn just $620,000 in the final year of his rookie deal. A foundation player on defense, Laurinaitis has lost a few pounds to handle more deep coverage with the Rams mixing in more Cover 2 looks.

Sat Jun 9 201213:59Rams want to extend Laurinaitis and Long
According to Rams COO Kevin Demoff, St. Louis is "in the process of starting initial conversations" about long-term extensions with MLB James Laurinaitis and LE Chris Long.
Both players are in contract years. As ESPN's Mike Sando notes, Demoff's father, Marvin, is Long's agent. So we'd have to believe those talks will go smoothly. Laurinaitis is severely underpaid with a $620K salary in the last year of his rookie deal. Re-signing both players should be priorities for the Rams.
