Sun Oct 4 201519:42Mincey (concussion) active for Sunday's game in New Orleans
Mincey (concussion) is active for Sunday's game in New Orleans, David Helman of the Cowboys' official website reports.
Mincey's return from a one-week absence should help a Dallas defense that struggled badly against the Falcons last week, but a Sunday night game at the Superdome may still prove rather difficult. With just 40 tackles and six sacks in 18 games since the beginning of last season, Mincey does not warrant IDP consideration.
Fri Oct 2 201517:46Mincey (concussion) probable for Sunday's game in New Orleans
Mincey (concussion) is probable for Sunday's game in New Orleans, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Mincey will seemingly miss just one game, and he figures to jump right back in as a starter. The Cowboys struggled in his absence last week, getting steamrolled by Atlanta's Devonta Freeman and Julio Jones. With four tackles and no sacks through two appearances, Mincey isn't a reasonable IDP option.
Thu Oct 1 201510:00Mincey (concussion) returned to practice Wednesday
Mincey (concussion) returned to practice Wednesday, DallasCowboys.com reports.
The beat-up Cowboys could use him back after their defense collapsed in the second half of last week's loss to the Falcons. Mincey should return to his starting right defensive end spot barring a setback, but he'll only hold the job for one more week, as Greg Hardy will be serving the final game of his suspension.

Mincey (concussion) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Falcons.
The Cowboys could struggled to generate much pass rush Sunday, as they'll be without three of their defensive ends in Mincey, Randy Gregory (ankle), and Greg Hardy (suspension). Mincey had four tackles and no sacks in the Cowboys' first two games of the season.
Mon Aug 3 201509:43Mincey ended holdout Sunday
Mincey ended his holdout Sunday, the Dallas Morning News reports.
He came up just 11 snaps short last season of having a $500,000 escalator clause kick in, so while Mincey didn't receive a contract extension the Cowboys did agree to honor that increase in his 2015 salary. Having participated in the team's offseason activities, he should get up to speed quickly and be back in pads early this week.
Sun Aug 2 201509:23Mincey joined Cowboys at their training camp facility in Oxnard ...
Mincey joined the Cowboys at their training camp facility in Oxnard on Saturday night, the Dallas Morning News reports.
The defensive end was fined for missing the first couple of days of camp in a contract dispute, but it appears as though Mincey decided he'd made his point. Assuming a new contract gets worked out quickly, he could rejoin his teammates on the field Sunday.
Wed Jul 29 201509:22Mincey did not report for opening of training camp
Mincey did not report for the opening of training camp, the Dallas Morning News reports.
He's seeking to renegotiate his contract, which is set to pay him $1.5 million in base salary, after leading the Cowboys in sacks last season with six. Mincey's role figures to be greatly diminished in 2015 though with DeMarcus Lawrence healthy, Greg Hardy's suspension reduced to four games and rookie Randy Gregory also looking for snaps in pass-rush situations, so he's not exactly in a great bargaining position.
Thu Jan 15 201511:17Mincey will undergo elbow surgery on Thursday
Mincey will undergo elbow surgery on Thursday, but isn't expected to miss any offseason activity, David Helman of DallasCowboys.com reports.
He led the Cowboys with six sacks in 2014 and didn't miss any games, so this news is a little surprising. Mincey should still be an important cog in the team's defensive line rotation next season.

Mincey picked up three tackles and two sacks during Sunday's win over the Eagles.
Mincey now has five sacks on the season, tying him with Henry Melton for the team lead.
Tue Jul 8 201411:41Mincey not expected to start for Cowboys
The Dallas Morning News doesn't expect DE Jeremy Mincey to be a starter for the Cowboys.
Mincey inked a two-year, $4.5 million deal with the Cowboys in March and was viewed by some as DeMarcus Ware's replacement. Entering his age-31 season and tallying just five sacks the past two seasons, Mincey will compete for a reserve role. Maybe DL guru Rod Marinelli can help coax a big year out of Mincey like he did with penciled-in starter George Selvie last season.

Wed Mar 12 201414:15Jeremy Mincey nearing deal with Cowboys
The Cowboys are nearing a deal with free agent DE Jeremy Mincey.
Mincey, 30, got into hot water for rules violations in Jacksonville last year and found himself waived in December. The Broncos picked him up, serving as a rotational end during their playoff run. Mincey hasn't posted more than three sacks in a season since 2011, but the Cowboys are desperate to just add bodies to their paper-thin defensive line.

Tue Dec 17 201310:45Jeremy Mincey reunites with Del Rio in DEN
Broncos signed DE Jeremy Mincey.
Mincey was waived by the Jaguars last week due to poor play and violations of team rules. Perhaps a reunion with old coach Jack Del Rio -- now the defensive coordinator in Denver -- will get him back in line. Mincey is 30 years old now, but had 13 sacks between 2010-11 while playing for Del Rio in Jacksonville.

Sat Nov 23 201315:01Mincey held out for violation of team rules
Jaguars DE Jeremy Mincey won't play in Week 12 due to a violation of team rules.
It's not clear what team rule Mincey violated, but he'll miss Sunday's game for disciplinary reasons. Ryan Davis will pick up the majority of his vacated snaps. Undrafted rookie DT Abry Jones could also be active this week.

Wed Aug 7 201308:57Jaguars DE Mincey sidelined with concussion
Jaguars DE Jeremy Mincey has missed the last few days of practice with a concussion.
Mincey was originally diagnosed with a "head contusion" over the weekend, but a neurologist changed that evaluation Monday. Coming off a three-sack campaign, Mincey has been demoted out of the starting lineup in coach Gus Bradley's new 4-3 hybrid scheme. He'll likely miss Friday's preseason opener.

Thu Jul 25 201321:48Jags to use Mincey as situational rusher
The Jaguars intend to use DE Jeremy Mincey as an inside-outside rotational pass rusher this season.
Coming off a terrible season, Mincey has been demoted in the sense that he's no longer a starter -- Tyson Alualu is the new left end and Jason Babin the RE or "Leo" -- but the Jags still have plans for him. "We have a role for Mince, and we'll use him in a variety of fashions," GM David Caldwell said. "He has some inside pass-rush skills and he has some outside pass-rush skills."

Fri May 24 201314:23Jeremy Mincey says he wore down physically
Jaguars DE Jeremy Mincey attributes his disappointing 2012 production to playing too many snaps and consequently wearing down.
Jacksonville had zero depth. "When you're playing 80 snaps, no man to man [defense], can't score any points, that's what happens," said Mincey, whose sack total fell from eight in 2011 to three. "I think [the new staff] went back and watched the film, and you can't blame it all on me. I did what I could. I played hard." Mincey may still not return as a starter in 2013.

Thu Sep 13 201208:49Jeremy Mincey racking up numbers
DE Jeremy Mincey played all 59 defensive snaps in the Jaguars' Week 1 loss to the Vikings.
Mincey was asked to carry the load with Austen Lane (foot) and George Selvie (knee) sidelined. He had just three tackles and no sacks, a disappointment for IDP owners using him as a DL2. Expect a bigger day against the Texans this week as both Lane and Selvie are out again.

Wed Mar 14 201200:37Jags keep Mincey with four-year deal
Jaguars signed DE Jeremy Mincey to a four-year contract.
Mincey was reportedly drawing heavy interest from the Bears, but has opted to stay with the club that gave him his first start in 2010. Since joining the Jaguars' starting lineup in Week 10 two seasons ago, the 2006 sixth-round pick has notched 12 sacks in 24 games. Mincey's re-signing could be a sign the Jaguars aren't planning to seriously pursue free agent Mario Williams.
