Sat Sep 26 201517:27Chancellor activated to 53-man roster Saturday
Chancellor has been activated to the 53-man roster Saturday.
With Chancellor announcing he will return from his holdout, this move should come as no surprise. While head coach Pete Carroll hasn't confirmed how much the 27-year-old safety will play against the Bears, it's safe to assume Chancellor will find the field during the majority of Seattle's defensive snaps with the news that backup safety Dion Bailey was waved in a corresponding move Saturday.
Fri Sep 25 201517:27Kam Chancellor: May Play Entire Game
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Chancellor could play all of Sunday's game against the Bears, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR reports.
Although the Seahawks will monitor his fitness throughout the game, Chancellor may still work in an every-snap role, just as he did the past four seasons. He missed all of training camp and the first two weeks of the regular season while holding out for a restructured contract.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll expects Chancellor to play in Sunday's game against the Bears, 790 KGMI reports.
The Seahawks will monitor Chancellor's snaps, but it sounds as if he'll likely get the start. The star safety missed all of training camp and the first two regular-season games while holding out. He had 78 tackles in 14 games last season, after topping 95 tackles in each of the previous three campaigns.
Wed Sep 23 201509:46Kam Chancellor: Ends Holdout, Returns to Seahawks
Chancellor will end his nearly three-month holdout and report to the Seahawks on Wednesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Schefter's report quoted a text sent to ESPN colleague Stephen A. Smith from Chancellor that said, "Time to help us get back to the big dance. I can address business after the season." There was no word on whether Chancellor and the Seahawks struck a deal or if Chancellor is returning empty handed. In any event, he will almost certainly play Sunday against the Bears. Seattle's defense has noticeably missed Chancellor, giving up 61 points in the first two games.
Thu Sep 17 201513:28Chancellor not expected to suit up against Packers on Sunday
Chancellor is not expected to suit up against the Packers on Sunday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Dion Bailey will most likely get the start at strong safety once again. If Chancellor does indeed miss Week 2's game against the Packers, he could be fined more than $2 million by the Seahawks, a tough pill to swallow considering The NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported the team and Chancellor were less than $1 million apart.
Wed Sep 9 201516:12Kam Chancellor: Holdout Continues into Week 1
Chancellor will not play in the season opener as his holdout continues into its sixth week, the Seattle Times reports.
"He's not here and he's not playing," coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday. Carroll said he is "disappointed" Chancellor is still holding out and that "everybody should be," but that the defense will not change without Chancellor. Dion Bailey will start at strong safety. A report last week from Bleacher Report's Jason Cole said the two sides were nearing a deal, but that doesn't seem close, judging from Carroll's somewhat glum outlook Wednesday.

Chancellor and the Seahawks might be nearing a deal that could end the strong safety's month-long holdout, according to Bleacher Report's Jason Cole.
The deal would add a year to Chancellor's contract and give him an immediate payment. The Seahawks have to walk the fine line of doing enough to make Chancellor happy but not appearing to give in to his demands lest more players hold out in the coming years. They're already pushing the salary cap, so any additional money for Chancellor likely can't count for this year.

Chancellor is expected to hold out of training camp in a contract dispute after not showing up Thursday to take his physical, the Seattle Times reports.
Chancellor signed a four-year extension in 2013 that takes him through 2017 with $17 million guaranteed. Chancellor's $7 million salary this season is second to only Eric Berry among strong safeties. It's uncertain how long he plans to hold out or how much more he wants.

Chancellor will not need surgery on the torn MCL he suffered two days before the Super Bowl, the Seattle Times reports.
Chancellor had 10 tackles, seven solo, in the Super Bowl playing on the injured knee. Rest and rehab should have him ready for next season, though he might be limited for the start training camp.
Wed Feb 4 201519:25Chancellor played through last Sunday's Super Bowl with torn MCL
Chancellor played through last Sunday's Super Bowl with a torn MCL, the Seahawks' official site reports.
Chancellor was known to be dealing with a knee injury, but the extent of which had been uncertain. It's now known that he was suffering from a deep bone bruise, and further examination of that knee revealed the torn ligament (which coach Pete Carroll believes actually resulted from a prior injury). Considering the nature of torn knee ligaments, it wouldn't be surprising to see Chancellor a bit limited by the time OTAs roll around.

Chancellor (knee) is active for Sunday's Super Bowl against the Patriots.
Chancellor tweaked the knee during practice this week, but as expected, the ailment seems to be minor, and he'll suit up to resume his regular role in the Seattle secondary. He was seen with a knee brace during pregame warmups, but it's unclear at the moment how it may affect his performance.

Coach Pete Carroll said Chancellor (knee) "remarkably looked great" during Saturday's walkthrough, John Boyle of the Everett Herald reports.
Chancellor's knee injury was believed to be very minor almost as soon as it occurred Friday, and Saturday's report only seems to reinforce that idea. Chancellor looks highly likely to play Sunday.
Fri Jan 30 201519:36Kam Chancellor: Suffers Knee Injury Friday
Chancellor suffered a knee injury on the next-to-last play of Friday's practice and missed the final play of the session. However, the Seahawks have officially listed him as probable for Sunday's Super Bowl against the Patriots, The Seattle Times reports.
Chancellor had to be helped up before missing the final play, and was spotted wearing a wrap on his left knee, but didn't have a limp according to the report. Unless the knee injury worsens over the next few days, Chancellor should be on the field for Sunday's Super Bowl against the Patriots.

Chancellor (groin) is probable for Sunday's game against Kansas City.
After two games off, Chancellor is ready to rock again as the enforcer in the Seahawks secondary. He's always a DB1 consideration in IDP leagues when healthy.
Wed Nov 12 201421:06Kam Chancellor: (Groin) Practices Fully Wednesday
Chancellor (groin) practiced fully Wednesday, the Seahawks' official site reports.
After two absences due to an injured groin, Chancellor's unhinged practice Wednesday forecasts active status Sunday in Kansas City. So far this season, he's supplemented 6.7 tackles per game with one interception and one forced fumble, which all but assures his presence in IDP lineups on a weekly basis (when healthy, of course).
Mon Nov 10 201416:42Chancellor (groin) will return to practice this week
Chancellor (groin) will return to practice this week, Seahawks.com's Tony Drovetto reports.
He has missed the past two games with a groin injury, but if he makes it through the week, it appears likely that he will return to action Sunday in Kansas City.
Sun Nov 9 201415:05Chancellor (groin) inactive for Sunday's game against Giants
Chancellor (groin) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Giants.
This comes as no surprise after Chancellor missed practice all week. DeShawn Shead is expected to start in Chancellor's place.
Fri Nov 7 201417:58Chancellor (groin) doubtful for Sunday's game against Giants
Chancellor (groin) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Giants.
Chancellor sat out of practice all week, making this his second missed game in a row. DeShawn Shead is expected to start in his place.
Wed Nov 5 201420:39Chancellor (groin) didn't practice Wednesday
Chancellor (groin) didn't practice Wednesday.
Chancellor was handed active status Sunday versus the Raiders, but the Seahawks withheld a uniform from the strong safety, which was assumed by DeShawn Shead. Following an absence Wednesday, interest parties should watch his situation with a knee eye as the weekend draws near.
