Chancellor has been activated to the 53-man roster Saturday.

With Chancellor announcing he will return from his holdout, this move should come as no surprise. While head coach Pete Carroll hasn't confirmed how much the 27-year-old safety will play against the Bears, it's safe to assume Chancellor will find the field during the majority of Seattle's defensive snaps with the news that backup safety Dion Bailey was waved in a corresponding move Saturday.

There was no word on whether Chancellor and the Seahawks struck a deal or if Chancellor is returning empty handed. In any event, he will almost certainly play Sunday against the Bears. Seattle's defense has noticeably missed Chancellor, giving up 61 points in the first two games.

Chancellor is not expected to suit up against the Packers on Sunday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.

Dion Bailey will most likely get the start at strong safety once again. If Chancellor does indeed miss Week 2's game against the Packers, he could be fined more than $2 million by the Seahawks, a tough pill to swallow considering The NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported the team and Chancellor were less than $1 million apart.

Considering the nature of torn knee ligaments, it wouldn't be surprising to see Chancellor a bit limited by the time OTAs roll around.

Chancellor tweaked the knee during practice this week, but as expected, the ailment seems to be minor, and he'll suit up to resume his regular role in the Seattle secondary. He was seen with a knee brace during pregame warmups, but it's unclear at the moment how it may affect his performance.

Coach Pete Carroll said Chancellor (knee) "remarkably looked great" during Saturday's walkthrough, John Boyle of the Everett Herald reports.

Chancellor's knee injury was believed to be very minor almost as soon as it occurred Friday, and Saturday's report only seems to reinforce that idea. Chancellor looks highly likely to play Sunday.
