Jaguars SLB Dekoda Watson is recovering from sports-hernia surgery, and expected to begin training camp on the active/PUP list.
Watson missed the majority of the Jaguars' offseason program, and finally went under the knife in "latte June." He's expected to ready for Week 1. Watson is ticketed for coach Gus Bradley's "Otto" linebacker spot. Bradley describes the Otto as a "physical, athletic, versatile player who will play along the line of scrimmage." Fri Apr 18 201414:21Jaguars to use Dekoda Watson at Sam
The Jaguars plan to use Dekoda Watson at strong-side linebacker.
Watson will play "Sam" backer on first and second down, and is a candidate for snaps at the "Leo" pass-rusher role in Jacksonville's sub-packages. If the Jaguars draft Buffalo's Khalil Mack at No. 3 overall, however, Watson won't end up playing much Leo. Watson should also contribute on special teams.

Jaguars signed OLB Dekoda Watson, formerly of the Buccaneers.
Watson, 26, has mostly been a special teamer in his career, but flashed potential in spot starts at strong-side linebacker down the stretch in Tampa last year.
