Stewart agreed to a two-year contract with the Broncos on Friday.
Stewart finished the 2014 campaign with the Ravens accumulating 53 tackles (37 solo), adding an interception and a forced fumble along with three passes defensed. He should slot in nicely alongside T.J. Ward, giving the Broncos a formidable secondary in 2015.

Despite playing all of the defensive snaps in Sunday's 43-23 loss to the Steelers, Stewart finished with just two tackles (one solo).
After rotating safeties the past three games, Baltimore mostly stuck with Stewart and Will Hill, though Matt Elam got quite a few snaps in the nickel. Stewart is the closest thing the Ravens have had to a respectable safety this season, but he almost never sticks out for positive plays, and didn't play well in Sunday's game. He may lose some of his snaps to Elam or Terrence Brooks in Week 10, though that can't be assumed. In its current state, the Baltimore secondary is probably best avoided outside of deep IDP leagues, with a possible exception for struggling cornerback Lardarius Webb, who has been picked on since rejoining the team.

Stewart had five tackles (four solo) and one pass defensed in Sunday's 29-7 win over the Falcons.
Stewart and rookie Terrence Brooks each played approximately two-thirds of the snaps, while Matt Elam and Will Hill each logged about one-third. If it continues, the four-safety rotation will likely prevent any of the bunch from being a useful IDP option. With no clear winner having emerged at this point, it's probably best to avoid Stewart and any of his fellow Baltimore safeties.
Mon Sep 8 201413:15Stewart had nine tackles (four solo) in Sunday's loss to Bengals
Stewart had nine tackles (four solo) in Sunday's loss to the Bengals.
Stewart played every defensive snap in his first game with the Ravens. He didn't make any standout plays, but seemingly did well enough to keep his job. Rookie safety Terrence Brooks did not see the field on defense, and the Ravens used just five defensive backs all game.

Stewart is listed as the starting free safety on the Ravens' first depth chart of the regular season.
Rookie third-round draft pick Terrence Brooks will likely have some kind of role in the defense, but Stewart seemingly won the position battle with relative ease, and thus figures to start Sunday's season opener against the Bengals. With Brooks coming off a strong preseason, and Will Hill likely to enter the mix after serving a six-game suspension, Stewart is one of the lesser IDP options among starting safeties in the league. Matt Elam is still the top IDP target in the Baltimore secondary.
Fri Aug 1 201417:19Stewart clear front-runner to start at free safety
Stewart is the clear front-runner to start at free safety, the Ravens' official website reports.
Stewart's primary competition comes in the form of Terrence Brooks, a talented third-round draft pick out of FSU. While it's fair to consider Stewart as the favorite for Week 1 starting duties, Brooks should not be written off just yet. The starter may hold some IDP value, but the real player to target in Baltimore's secondary is 2013 first-round draft pick Matt Elam, who is already being trusted to make the adjustments in the secondary.
Fri Jul 18 201420:07Darian Stewart to open camp at free safety
The Baltimore Sun confirms Darian Stewart will open training camp as the Ravens' starting free safety.
Stewart played with the first-team defense throughout OTAs and minicamp. He's competing with rookie Terrance Brooks and Jeromy Miles to start opposite Matt Elam. Stewart has struggled with injuries throughout his career, but is the heavy favorite to win the job as long as he stays healthy.

Stewart has struggled with injuries throughout his career, but he is healthy now and doing "a nice job" according to coach John Harbaugh. The job looks like Stewart's to lose as long as he stays healthy. Third-round S Terrance Brooks ran with the third-team defense during OTAs.

Darian Stewart is expected to be the Ravens starting free safety.
Stewart started 13 games for Steve Spagnuolo's Rams in 2011. Spags is now on the Ravens staff and loves Stewart. Stewart has battled nagging injuries his entire career and will need to stay healthy to keep the job.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said he was "excited" about S Darian Stewart and "really liked him on tape"
The Ravens need to fill the hole left when Matt Elam shifted over to strong safety, and Stewart should be given the first shot. He will have to stay healthy, though. Stewart has yet to play a full season in his four-year career.

Ravens agreed to terms with S Darian Stewart, formerly of the Rams.
Stewart, 24, appeared in 13 games with St. Louis last season, making six starts and recording 36 tackles with five pass breakups. He was a favorite of old Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo, who is now Baltimore's secondary coach. Stewart has experience at both strong and free safety. The Ravens are searching for a free safety to book end Matt Elam, who they prefer to use in the box.

Sat Aug 24 201315:40Darian Stewart's grip loosening on FS job?
ESPN.com believes Darian Stewart's hold on the Rams' starting free safety job is loosening.
Stewart suffered a hamstring injury in last week's preseason game against the Packers, and he didn't practice at all this past week. Rodney McLeod has been getting all of the first-team reps next to SS T.J. McDonald, and he'll see plenty of action in Saturday night's regular season dress rehearsal in Denver. Stewart hasn't been able to stay on the field in his young career.

Thu Jun 6 201318:10Darian Stewart penciled in as a starter
Coach Jeff Fisher said Darian Stewart is "penciled in" as a starting safety.
After Quintin Mikell's release, Stewart is now the elder statesman of the Rams' safety group. Stewart's main problem has been nagging injuries throughout his career, and he's already dealing with them at OTAs. He sat out Thursday's session with a calf issue. The Rams will see if Stewart can hold up through the summer. If not, they could make a move on Kerry Rhodes or re-sign Mikell.

Wed Apr 10 201323:15Darian Stewart contract update
Updating a previous item, Rams S Darian Stewart's one-year contract is worth $1.075 million.
It was originally reported that restricted free agent Stewart was tendered at the original-pick level, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Stewart, 24, is tentatively expected to compete for one of the Rams' starting safety spots. Injuries and falling behind in a new scheme limited him to 82 defensive snaps in 2012. The Rams have the least amount of cap space in the league.

Wed Apr 3 201318:56Rams' Darian Stewart signs RFA tender
Rams re-signed SS Darian Stewart to a one-year, $1.32 million contract.
Stewart was a restricted free agent tendered at the original-round level. Coach Jeff Fisher has said he wants Stewart to "step up and take charge" of one of the Rams' safety spots this season, but he'll have to compete for a starting job in camp. A 13-game starter two years ago, injuries helped limit Stewart to just 82 snaps on defense in 2012.

Sun Mar 24 201310:24Fisher: Stewart needs to take starting job
Coach Jeff Fisher says Darian Stewart needs to "step up and take charge" of one of the starting safety spots.
The Rams have holes at both safety positions. Stewart started 13 games at free safety in 2011, but he has battled injuries ever since and fell behind during Fisher's first year with the team. Stewart is solid in coverage and can rush the passer a little bit, but he doesn't play the run well at all. St. Louis will be looking for safeties in the draft.

Tue Mar 12 201310:05Rams tender Darian Stewart
Rams extended restricted free agent SS Darian Stewart an original-pick tender.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the Rams would like to re-sign Stewart to a smaller, multi-year deal and consider him an internal candidate to replace Quintin Mikell. The Rams remain likely to be players on the free-agent safety market. They'll be targeting free safeties like Detroit's Louis Delmas.
