Searcy left Friday's game with a knee injury and his return is questionable, Dave Skretta of the Associated Press reports.
The severity of the injury is uncertain, but it results in Daimion Stafford getting extra snaps in Friday's preseason game. Look for the Titans to update Searcy's status prior to Thursday's game against the Vikings.
Tue Mar 10 201517:03Searcy has reached agreement to join Titans
Searcy has reached an agreement to join the Titans, Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports.
The Bills' starting strong safety in 2014, Searcy will fill the same role in Tennessee, likely playing alongside Michael Griffin. He managed just 65 tackles over 15 games in 2014, as he lost some playing time to Corey Graham and Duke Williams. It was seemingly more about what Graham and Williams did right than anything Searcy did wrong, so the Titans' new signing should be an every-down player in 2015. With his snaps now more secure, Searcy makes for an interesting IDP sleeper.

Searcy, who logged 65 tackles and a career-high three interceptions this season, will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
Searcy's first choice would probably be to stay in Buffalo, but with a new coach heading to Buffalo at some point - and possibly a new coordinator if Jim Schwartz gets a head coaching job or moves on with some of the pending changes - things could change enough that Searcy may seek a bigger contract elsewhere. He landed a starting job for all of last season after Jairus Byrd left for New Orleans, but surprisingly only played 59.6 of the defensive snaps as the Bills ended up using CB Corey Graham at safety at times while also throwing a lot of different looks at the opponent, some of which kept Searcy off the field.

Searcy (hamstring) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
Searcy, who missed Week 15's game against the Packers, checks back into the Bills' lineup with 47 tackles and three picks in 13 games to date.

Searcy (hamstring) is listed as probable for Sunday's game in Oakland after practicing on a limited basis Friday.
The Bills head into Week 16 pretty healthy given how late it is in the season. And they'll need it, as they have to win the next few games and hope for some help elsewhere.

Searcy (hamstring) did not practice Friday and has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Packers.
The Bills will likely use Duke Williams and some additional help to cover for Searcy's absence, though facing an Aaron Rodgers-led offense without a regular defensive back is never a promising way to enter a key game.
Wed Dec 10 201420:00Searcy (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday
Searcy (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, The Buffalo News reports.
Searcy left Sunday's loss to the Broncos in the first half, and while the defense has played well around injuries all season, facing an Aaron Rodgers offense that's absolutely on fire without another starter would be a a less-than-ideal situation for the Bills. Searcy still has a few more days to rally.

Searcy left Sunday's loss to the Broncos in the first half with a hamstring injury and did not return, BuffaloBills.com reports.
Searcy finished with just one tackle, probably well short of what owners were hoping for against a Peyton Manning attack. The Bills have been playing great defense all season, bit if Searcy was out for any length of time it'd be a big loss to a secondary that's already lost Leodis McKelvin for the season.

Searcy played 69 percent of the team's defensive snaps in Thursday's loss to the Dolphins, The Buffalo News reports. He logged seven tackles and a forced fumble.
That's a disappointing snap count for a guy who's supposed to be the starting strong safety, but the team has been giving some extra PT to Duke Williams, who saw 40 percent of the defensive snaps. Plus reserve Corey Graham gets moved around among several defensive back spots at times. With just 39 tackles and one interception through 10 games, Searcy barely registers on the IDP radar after shining at times in 2013.

Searcy (knee) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
Searcy is out there if you need him Sunday, but he's only an option in deeper IDP formats, with an average of three tackles per game to date.

Searcy (knee) practiced on a limited basis for the third straight day Friday but is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
With fellow safety Aaron Williams also listed as probable, it looks like the Bills will have more stability in their defensive backfield after getting fleeced by Tom Brady last week. Going up against rookie Teddy Bridgewater with a defensive line that, on paper at least, should be able to attack the quarterback, the opportunity is there for Searcy to have a decent IDP week.

Searcy's availability boosts the Bills' secondary this week, but with 16 tackles through five games, he's been a marginal IDP thus far.

Searcy (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots, ESPN.com reports.
More on Searcy's status as Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff approaches, but with 16 tackles through five games, his IDP utility has been modest this season.

Searcy (ankle) participated on a limited basis Friday but is listed as probable for Sunday's game in Houston, ESPN's Mike Rodak reports.
Coach Doug Marrone was leaning towards Searcy being probable with his comments Thursday, and it looks like the Bills will have both starting safeties at their disposal this week, even though Searcy and Aaron Williams have had minor health issues early on.

Although he practiced on a limited basis for the second straight day Thursday, coach Doug Marrone feels Searcy (ankle) is looking like a decent bet for Sunday, BuffaloBills.com reports. Said Marrone, "I think he really looked good out there (Thursday) on a limited basis. As long as there's no setback, it's not a concern."
Searcy has been a bit of a disappointment as an IDP so far, with no more than five tackles in any of the three games. Still, he's the best the Bills have at strong safety, and it looks like the team may have him out there this week against the Texans.
Wed Sep 24 201416:40Searcy (ankle) limited at practice Wednesday
Searcy (ankle) was limited at practice Wednesday, wgr550.com reports.
Through three games, Searcy has 10 tackles while serving as the Bills' starting strong safety, numbers that put him on the fringe of most IDP formats.

Searcy left Sunday's loss to the Chargers due to an ankle injury in the third quarter and didn't return, The Buffalo News reports.
Searcy had an awful IDP performance, picking up just one tackle and nothing else before departing. Meanwhile, fellow safety Aaron Williams had 14 tackles. We'll see if Searcy is able to bounce back health-wise for this week's game in Houston.
Fri Sep 5 201410:41Searcy will enter season as clear-cut starter at strong safety
Searcy will enter the season as the clear-cut starter at strong safety, BuffaloBills.com reports. Said the fourth-year player, who will line up across from free safety Aaron Williams, "I'm out there with the starting unit now so I just want to go out there and compete. I don't want myself to be a weak link out there with those proven guys. The more opportunities I'm out there, the more opportunities I have to make plays and help the team win."
Searcy finished his 2013 season with 71 tackles, seven passes defensed, an interception, and two touchdowns, pretty strong numbers for someone who played a modest 63.7 percent of the defensive snaps. With good health, Searcy will certainly see more time than that in 2014, putting him on the IDP radar.

Fri Mar 7 201414:18Bills used Searcy frequently as a blitzer
According to Pro Football Focus, Bills S Da'Norris Searcy blitzed on 10.9 percent of his snaps vs. the pass.
Only Roman Harper blitzed more among safeties who saw at least 50 percent of their team's passing snaps. Searcy began the season as an every-down starter, but moved to a situational role when Jairus Byrd returned from injury. With Byrd expected to fly the coop, Searcy figures to compete with Duke Williams for the starting job opposite Aaron Williams.
