Wisniewski is being held out of offseason training activities until training camp after undergoing labrum surgery, the Florida Times-Union reports.
That explains why Luke Bowanko was under center during last week's OTAs, and not Wisniewski, who was with Jacksonville offensive coordinator Greg Olson in Oakland in 2013-14.
Sun Apr 19 201515:24Wisniewski has agreed to one-year deal with Jaguars
Wisniewski has agreed to a one-year deal with the Jaguars, the Florida Times-Union reports.
Look for Wisniewski to compete with Luke Bowanko for the Jags' starting center job, with the veteran lineman on track to add experience and versatility (he can also play guard) to the Jags' line, in any case.
Fri Oct 25 201315:11Raiders optimistic on Stefen Wisniewski
The Raiders are "optimistic" C Stefen Wisniewski (knee) will return in Week 8 against the Steelers.
Oakland will still be without LT Menelik Watson (knee), LG Andre Gurode (quad), and RT Tony Pashos (hip), but at least is getting back its triggerman on the interior offensive line. Darren McFadden (hamstring) is also returning at or near 100 percent coming off the Raiders' Week 7 bye to face Pittsburgh.

Mon Sep 30 201316:28Raiders C Wisniewski has sprained knee
Raiders C Stefen Wisniewski suffered a sprained knee in Sunday's loss.
"Sprained knee" is an exceedingly broad term, but it sounds like Wisniewski will be out for at least Week 5. That would leave Alex Parsons for center duties against the Chargers. It would be yet another blow to the Raiders' injury-ruined run game.

Fri Sep 14 201218:17Wisniewski to start at center for Raiders
Stefen Wisniewski (shoulder surgery) will start at center for the Raiders in Week 2.
Wisniewski dressed and backed up in the season opener but has been working his way back from offseason shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum. Alex Parsons started at center for Oakland in Week 1. Wisniewski's return should help out an offense that mustered up just 45 yards on the ground last week.

Raiders C Stefen Wisniewski (shoulder surgery) is a full participant in camp.
Wisniewski missed the Raiders' entire offseason program as he recovered from his operation, but should be a full-go for the preseason. A second-round pick last season, Wisniewski had a rough year as the Raiders' left guard, but will man his more natural position of center in 2012.

Wed Jun 6 201218:58Wisniewski played through torn labrum
Raiders C Stefen Wisniewski played his entire rookie season with a torn labrum in his shoulder.
Wisniewski is missing OTAs after postseason surgery, though he's expected back at 100 percent for training camp. The 48th pick in the 2011 draft, Wisniewski graded out as a mediocre pass blocker and poor run blocker as a rookie left guard. He's moving back to center -- his natural position -- for the 2012 season.

Rookie C/G Stefen Wisniewski has been so impressive in training camp that coach Hue Jackson plans to find him a starting job, even if it means moving to left guard.
"He's a very tremendous player," said Jackson. "We drafted the right guy. He has all the qualities that we were looking for. He's everything that I thought he would be." Jackson noted that Wisniewski and third-round RT Joseph Barksdale are both "getting it done," so the Raiders could end up with two rookies starting up front.
