Fri Dec 12 201422:18Harris signed five-year
Harris signed a five-year, $42.5 million extension with the Broncos on Friday, ESPN's Jeff Legwold reports.
The contract will run through the 2019 season, keeping the excellent cornerback in Denver for the extent of his prime years. The contract comes with $24 million in guaranteed money. He has 45 tackles this season and is tied for the team lead in interceptions with three, even though opposing quarterbacks typically try to throw away from him.

Harris had five tackles, including a sack, and an interception during Sunday's win over the Bills.
Harris doesn't get tested much in the passing game, but he had plenty of opportunities Sunday and he took advantage of them. The interception was his third this season, but he still doesn't get nearly enough tackles to warrant a lot of fantasy IDP attention.

Harris (knee) had three tackles and an interception Sunday against the Seahawks.
Harris does not appear to be limited any longer by his surgically-repaired knee, though he's not a great IDP option given his relatively low tackle totals and few interceptions.

Harris had six tackles, including one for a loss, and one pass defended in Sunday's win over the Chiefs.
Harris appears completely healthy after fully recovering from a torn ACL he suffered last season, and he now has nine tackles through two games.

Harris (knee) is not included on the Broncos' inactive list for Sunday night's regular season opener against the Colts.
Harris missed the entire preseason while recovering from a torn ACL suffered during the playoffs last year, but will suit up for Week 1 of this season Sunday night. After being a full participant in practice throughout this week, Harris is slated to start at cornerback opposite Aqib Talib, with Kayvon Webster and Bradley Roby representing Denver's reserve options.

Harris (knee) was a full participant in practice this week and says he fully expects to play in Sunday's night's regular-season opener against the Colts.
Harris did not play in any preseason games while he finished up his recovery from a torn ACL, but said Friday that he is "ready to hit somebody." He is expected to start opposite Aqib Talib, although it's possible that he will be a bit limited given the time off, which would leave Kayvon Webster and Bradley Roby with further opportunities.
Sat Aug 30 201419:24Though he didn't play in preseason
Though he didn't play in the preseason, Harris (torn ACL) expects to play in Week 1, the Broncos' official website reports.
Harris will be eight months removed from a partial ACL tear, and while he's established as a solid cornerback, his role is rather uncertain. The Broncos had an active offseason at the position, adding Aqib Talib and first-round draft pick Bradley Roby to a group that already includes Harris and Kayvon Webster. With Talib seemingly locked in as an every-down player, it's unclear how the remaining playing time will be divided between Harris, Webster and Roby.

Broncos placed CB Chris Harris (knee) on the active/PUP list.
Harris is about six months removed from partially tearing his ACL, and estimated he was at 80-85 percent health two weeks ago. He's scheduled to meet with Dr. James Andrews in the near future. Harris is expected to return at some point during camp and be ready to roll for Week 1. Harris will man the slot.

Sat Jul 12 201411:52Harris seeing Dr. Andrews to assess progress
Broncos CB Chris Harris will see Dr. James Andrews at the end of July to assess his progress in recovering from a partial ACL tear.
Harris says he is about 80 or 85 percent healthy right now. He will likely begin training camp on the PUP list, but he is on track to participate in some camp activities and should be good to go by Week 1.

Mon Jul 7 201410:04'No surprise' if Harris opens up camp on PUP
DenverBroncos.com's Andrew Mason says "it would be no surprise" if CB Chris Harris opens up camp on the PUP list.
The lack of surprise is because Harris will be barely six months removed from a partial tear in his ACL when Broncos camp opens. No matter how well his recovery went, the beginning of training camp was always an optimistic timetable. Harris does look on track to participate in at least some camp activities and should be good to go by Week 1.

Wed Jun 4 201422:03Chris Harris could return in preseason
Broncos CB Chris Harris (ACL surgery) "could return as soon as the third preseason game," according to the Denver Post.
Harris "sees no reason" he won't be ready for Week 1. He still has some hope of returning at the start of training camp. Harris tore his left ACL last January. Denver should open the year with Harris at slot corner, and Aqib Talib and Brandon Roby outside. The safeties are Rahim Moore and T.J. Ward.

Tue May 20 201417:10Chris Harris (ACL) aiming for start of camp
Broncos CB Chris Harris (ACL) hopes to be ready for the start of training camp.
Harris is just four months removed from partially tearing his left ACL in the Divisional Round, but is optimistic he'll be ready. "I'm feeling great, I'll be ready," Harris said. "I'm building my confidence because I wasn't down too long. I'm able to test things, I just feel confident about what's going to happen." Harris will man the slot if he's ready for Week 1.

Tue Apr 1 201413:49Broncos CB Chris Harris signs RFA tender
Broncos re-signed restricted free agent CB Chris Harris to a one-year, $2.187 million contract.
The Broncos tendered Harris at the second-round level. He tore his ACL in the Divisional Round and is going to be in a race to be ready for training camp. Harris is expected to start opposite Aqib Talib now that the Broncos are without Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Champ Bailey. Harris will cover the slot in sub-packages. Tony Carter is lightly penciled in as the No. 3 corner.

Fri Mar 7 201413:15Broncos give Harris 2nd-round tender
Broncos extended restricted free agent CB Chris Harris a second-round tender.
He may have gotten a first-round tender if he wasn't coming off a torn ACL. Harris claims he's ahead of schedule after escaping with a "partial" tear, and has quietly emerged as one of the NFL's premier slot corners. He'll be in the mix to start for the Champ Bailey-less Broncos in 2014. If Harris makes a smooth recovery, he'll be a hot 2015 free-agent item.

Sat Feb 15 201416:30Chris Harris ahead of schedule in ACL rehab
Broncos CB Chris Harris says he's "doing great" and is ahead of schedule in his recovery from ACL surgery.
Harris is only dealing with a partial tear of his ACL and is already off crutches. He remains questionable to be cleared for training camp, but should be ready for Week 1. A restricted free agent, Harris is expected to receive a second-round tender from the Broncos.

Mon Feb 10 201418:55Harris likely to get a second-round tender
Broncos RFA CB Chris Harris is likely to receive a second-round tender.
Harris would have received a first-round tender if not for the ACL injury he suffered in the Divisional Round. Even though his injury turned out to be less severe than once feared, the draft pick compensation makes it unlikely any team takes a run at the talented corner back.

Mon Feb 10 201411:45Chris Harris only had partial ACL damage
Surgery revealed that Broncos RFA Chris Harris only suffered a partial tear of his ACL.
Harris sustained no damage to his LCL, MCL or cartilage. In short, it's a best-case scenario for a Denver's top corner and gives him an excellent chance to be ready for Week 1. Still, the injury is expected to prevent Harris from landing a long-term extension from the Broncos. He'll almost certainly play out 2014 on a one-year franchise tender and then look to cash in.
