Johnson scored on a one-yard touchdown dive in Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers.
Johnson, the Saints' starting fullback, vultured a score early in the fourth quarter, after Mark Ingram was stopped just shy of the goal line. Though the Saints have shown that they are comfortable using Johnson in short-yardage situations, with on four total touches through two games (two carries for five yards and two receptions for five yards), Johnson will likely be more of a nuisance for owners of Saints' running backs than a worthwhile fantasy option in most leagues.

Johnson has won the starting fullback job, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
Though Johnson is primarily a blocker, the Saints have not traditionally not shied away from using their fullbacks and tight ends near the goal line, and with Jimmy Graham in Seattle, the team is woefully thin at tight end. Assuming the report is accurate and Johnson will indeed start the year at fullback for the Saints, he could have some sneaky value in very deep, touchdown-heavy leagues - though he's not a recommended play in the majority of leagues.

Johnson was placed on injured reserve by the Saints on Tuesday, ESPN's Mike Triplett reports.
Johnson didn't see a high volume of offensive snaps for the Saints, but snagged two receptions on the year and was a special teams contributor. Erik Lorig will serve as the primary fullback for the Saints in his stead.

Johnson gained five yards on one carry and caught one pass, which went for a 13-yard touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Lions.
Johnson has a modest six carries for 21 yards on the season, but the reception and touchdown were each the first of his career. Though the linebacker-turned-fullback from the University of Tennessee has filled in admirably for Erik Lorig (ankle), Lorig - who the Saints signed as a free agent this offseason - is expected to return as early as next week against Green Bay after missing more than two months with an ankle injury. Lorig's return could likely spell the end of Johnson's time as the starting fullback in New Orleans, but at least he went out with a bang.
