Redskins CB Chase Minnifield (ACL surgery) said that he hopes to participate fully in the team's offseason program.
Minnifield may never be able to get over his knee injuries, but he's currently expected to compete for a starting job with E.J. Biggers and Richard Crawford. With the Redskins cornerback situation in flux, it's possible that Minnifield could be a factor in 2013 if he can prove he's healthy. Washington will likely look to add depth in the middle-rounds of the draft.

Sat Mar 2 201315:32Chase Minnifield has problems in both knees
Redskins CB Chase Minnifield is now experiencing problems with his left knee after tearing his right ACL in last year's minicamps.
Dating back to high school, Minnifield has torn the right ACL twice and also undergone a microfracture procedure on that knee. When performing Minnifield's last ACL surgery, Dr. James Andrews used a graft from his left patellar tendon, and now Minnifield is essentially rehabbing both knees. Minnifield "hopes" to be ready for OTAs. The Skins obviously can't count him him for a 2013 role.
