Coach Rex Ryan indicated Saturday in his postgame comments that Gilmore (shoulder) should be fine, BuffaloBills.com reports.
The Bills suffered several injuries in an impressive preseason performance, so it's good news that their best corner doesn't appear to have suffered a long-term injury, as the team may already be looking at a rookie starter on the other side of Gilmore. Leodis McKelvin remains out following offseason ankle surgery.
Sat Aug 29 201517:18Gilmore has passed concussion tests
Gilmore has passed concussion tests, but will miss the rest of the game due to a shoulder injury, Mike Rodak of ESPN.com reports.
Gilmore initially went to the locker room to undergo concussion testing, but the team has discovered a shoulder injury instead. The team has not commented on the severity of Gilmore's shoulder injury at this point.

Gilmore (concussion protocol) will not return to Saturday's preseason game, NFL.com reports.
Gilmore left the game after being shaken up on a tackle in the first quarter and promptly headed to the locker room. Any sort of prolonged absence from Gilmore wouldn't bode well for Buffalo's already-thin cornerback depth, but the team is still evaluating him for a possible concussion.

Gilmore reported to the locker room during Saturday's preseason game to be evaluated for a possible concussion, Bills beat writer Chris Brown reports.
Gilmore was shaken up after making a tackle on Steelers' receiver Markus Wheaton and although he walked off the field under his own power, he will still be looked at for a possible concussion.
Thu Jul 9 201515:46Gilmore says he's far healthier than last year
Gilmore, who is coming off another offseason procedure, says he's far healthier than last year, BuffaloBills.com reports. Said Gilmore, "I'll be full go at camp. I feel great. I felt good in June. This is one of the offseasons where I'm coming in healthy and can run and do everything, so I'm just trying to be smart and doing whatever I can now so it can help me in the long run."
The coaching staff keeps saying how talented they think Gilmore is and many are expecting new coach Rex Ryan to cast him in a Darrelle Revis-type role. That would mean Gilmore would be on the field almost all the time, usually shadowing the opponent's best receiver and allowing Ryan to strengthen his blitzing ability elsewhere. Revis doesn't accrue great IDP stats these days because most teams have simply stopped throwing at him, but Gilmore is far less proven - if placed in a high-profile role, he could be forced to make a decent number of tackles and picks. Revis once had 87 tackles early in his career, while putting up 14 interceptions over his first three seasons. Gilmore had a career-high three picks last season while being limited to 15 games.
Wed Apr 29 201510:54Gilmore's fifth-year option for 2016 picked up
Gilmore's fifth-year option for 2016 has been picked up, BuffaloBills.com reports.
New coach Rex Ryan tends to make one shutdown corner a staple of his defenses, and many feel Gilmore will be that guy. He still has still has a little ways to go to reach an elite level, but the former first-rounder has shown some signs around injuries during his first three NFL seasons. Leodis McKelvin and Corey Graham will join Gilmore to make for a strong cornerback group.

Gilmore, who missed both the first and last games of the season, allowed 22 completions on the 27 passes thrown in his area (81 percent completions) in his first six games for 335 yards including four touchdowns against one interception. In his last eight games of the season Gilmore allowed just 21 completions on 42 attempts (50 percent completions) for 216 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions for an opponent passer rating of 53.27, BuffaloBills.com reports.
The Bills received good cornerback play all season from the threesome of Gilmore, Leodis McKelvin, and Corey Graham. Gilmore finished with 46 tackles and three interceptions, not bad for a corner considering he missed two games. He seems past the nasty hand/wrist injury that impeded him throughout 2013, and the numbers show he started to thrive in Jim Schwartz's defense by the end of this past season. There's little reason he'd suffer a drop-off as he enters his fourth NFL season in the fall.

Gilmore (concussion) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game in New England, according to Joe Buscaglia of WGR550.com.
The Bills have had a fantastic defense all season, but they'll be playing a bit shorthanded in the season finale against the Pats. Gilmore will finish his sophomore season with 46 tackles, six passes defensed, and three interceptions - not bad IDP numbers for a corner. Gilmore gets beaten in coverage once in a while, but he's a fairly solid corner and looks like he'll be able to man the starting position for years to come.

Gilmore (concussion) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Patriots, ESPN.com reports.
Assuming he's inactive Sunday, which is the likely outcome, Gilmore will finish the 2014 season with 46 tackles and three picks in 14 games.
Tue Dec 23 201416:28Gilmore in league's concussion protocol leading up to Week 17
Gilmore is in the league's concussion protocol leading up to Week 17.
Gilmore left Sunday's game to be evaluated for a concussion, and he evidently showed the symptoms of one. It's not clear how likely a return to the field might be for Week 17, especially with the Bills out of the playoff race.

Gilmore left Sunday's loss to the Raiders after being evaluated for a concusion and did not return, BuffaloBills.com reports.
Gilmore had just one tackle before departing, while if he does have a concussion he'll have to go through the league's protocol before he's allowed to suit up for the season finale at New England.

Gilmore (shoulder) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
With 45 tackles and three picks in 13 games to date, Gilmore has carved out some IDP utility in deeper formats, though he has only topped five tackles once this season.

Gilmore (shoulder) is listed as probable for Sunday's game in Oakland after practicing on a limited basis Friday.
The Bills received good news on the health front the last few days, as defensive back starters Gilmore and Da'Norris Searcy both look they'll be able to go in a must-win contest.
Wed Dec 17 201420:31Gilmore limited during Wednesday's practice due to shoulder issu...
Gilmore was limited during Wednesday's practice due to a shoulder issue.
The starting corner hurt himself during Sunday's win over Green Bay, so perhaps this is related, but either way we imagine he's not going to miss a big game in Oakland this week, one the Bills need to win to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Tue Nov 18 201419:12Gilmore has 32 tackles, three passes defensed, two interceptions...
In nine games, Gilmore has 32 tackles, three passes defensed, two interceptions, and a forced fumble.
Those aren't great numbers for a starting cornerback, party because he's the team's best corner and opponents have seemed to throw more in the direction of Leodis McKelvin this season. McKelvin is now on IR, so Corey Graham will take over as the starter opposite Gilmore the rest of the way. Expect about the same from Gilmore from here on out, though with games coming up against Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and Aaron Rodgers, there might be some spot weeks where Gilmore's worth starting simply because he'll probably be watching the opponent's best receiver, and that will be against high-pass offenses that constantly look those guys' way.

Gilmore registered three total tackles in Sunday's loss to the Patriots. After missing the first week of the season, he's logged 18 tackles, one interception, and one pass defensed over five games.
Gilmore started all 71 of the team's defensive snaps in Sunday's game, so playing time isn't the issue. He's probably the team's best cornerback, at least when playing at his top level, so there will be games where the other team works the middle of the field with regularity or looks toward Leodis McKelvin's side more.
Tue Sep 16 201417:56Coach Doug Marrone said Tuesday Bills are going to continue rota...
Coach Doug Marrone said Tuesday the Bills are going to continue rotating their top three corners - Gilmore, Leodis McKelvin, and Corey Graham - during games provided all three are healthy, BuffaloBills.com reports. Said Marrone, "All three (are starters). I'm not trying to play games. We've been rotating them from day one since they've been back. I keep saying the same thing. Everyone is trying to pin, Who are the two (starters)? Who are the two (starters)?' But we've got a pretty good deal going if we have three guys ... I firmly believe, with the level that they're playing, that those three players will produce more than if it's just two."
In Sunday's win over Miami - Gilmore's first action this season after missing Week 1 with a groin injury - Graham was on the field for 72 of 79 defensive plays, Gilmore for 53, and McKelvin for 33. It looks like, assuming full health for all three, that Marrone will keep a regular rotation with the biggest share going to the one playing the best. This is a fantastic idea for the Bills, though it does give both Gilmore and McKelvin a slight IDP hit, as both were previously expected to be full-fledged starters.
Thu Sep 11 201415:48Gilmore able to practice fully for second straight day Thursday
Gilmore, who missed Week 1 with a groin injury, was able to practice fully for a second straight day Thursday, ESPN's Mike Rodak reports.
Gilmore also said Wednesday that he's feeling a lot better than last week, so all signs point to a return this week against the Dolphins. The Bills have three seasoned and capable cornerbacks in Gilmore, Leodis McKelvin, and Corey Graham, and with the No. 3 guy Graham playing so well last week, it wouldn't be a surprise if they used a rotation while Gilmore is still slightly less than 100 percent.
Wed Sep 10 201416:19Gilmore able to practice fully Wednesday
Gilmore, who missed the opener in Chicago due to a groin injury, was able to practice fully Wednesday, ESPN's Mike Rodak reports.
That's obviously a key sign that Gilmore will make his 2014 debut this week against the Dolphins. Assuming he plays, the Bills have a strong core of defensive backs in Gilmore, Leodis McKelvin, Corey Graham (who played fantastically in Gilmore's absence), and Nikell Robey.
