Sat Sep 5 201517:49Jenkins released by Cowboys
Jenkins was released by the Cowboys, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.
Jenkins reportedly made a late push for a roster spot, but the No. 5 wide receiver job went to undrafted rookie Rodney Whitehead. The former first-round pick may continue to get chances, but his draft status shouldn't be mistaken for upside, as there's been no indication that he's anything more than a borderline NFL player
Thu Aug 27 201509:53Jenkins making late push for roster spot
Jenkins is making a late push for a roster spot, DallasCowboys.com reports.
Devin Street has been nursing an ankle injury, and Jenkins has been the player to take advantage of the added reps. Lucky Whitehead is likely still the slight favorite to win the No. 5 receiver job due to his ability as a kick returner, but Jenkins could be doing enough late in camp to get picked up by another team if he does get cut by the Cowboys.
Tue May 26 201511:15A.J. Jenkins: Signs With Cowboys
Jenkins has signed with the Cowboys, Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas reports.
A surprising first-round selection by the 49ers in 2012, Jenkins never panned out in San Francisco or Kansas City, despite playing for teams that were far from loaded at his position. He has good speed and decent size (6-0, 200 pounds), but he'll likely be facing an uphill battle to earn one of the final roster spots in Dallas.
Tue Feb 17 201514:28Jenkins released by Chiefs on Tuesday
Jenkins was released by the Chiefs on Tuesday, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.
A former-first round draft pick of the 49ers, Jenkins was traded for fellow first-round bust Jon Baldwin in August of 2013. Neither receiver ended up making an impact in his new home, with Jenkins unable to take advantage of his team's glaring lack of talent at the position. His status as a former first-rounder shouldn't be mistaken for upside, as Jenkins is a one-dimensional speedster who was widely viewed as a reach in the 2012 draft. He'll generate some kind of interest as a free agent, but will presumably have to compete for a roster spot in training camp.

Jenkins (shoulder) won't play Thursday against the Raiders, according to Adam Teicher of ESPN.com.
With Donnie Avery also out, the likes of Frankie Hammond, Junior Hemgway and De'Anthony Thomas are candidates to see looks behind top wideout Dwayne Bowe, but neither of the trio are any more than Week 12 fantasy darts.

Jenkins continues to receive starts with Donnie Avery dealing with a groin injury, but hasn't produced enough to be fantasy-relevant. Avery should return soon, further diminishing his value.

Jenkins saw the second most snaps of the wide receivers, but didn't do much offensively. The offense is largely predicated on the run and Alex Smith likes tight ends, leaving little left for the second wideout.

Jenkins saw more snaps than both Junior Hemingway and Frankie Hammond, but didn't make a mark in the box score. With Avery's return from an injured groin looming, Jenkins value will undoubtedly drop further in the future.

With Donnie Avery sidelined, Jenkins is in line to see an expanded role Sunday against the 49ers, Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star reports.
Offensive coordinator Doug Pederson has identified Jenkins as the player slated to serve as the Chiefs' No. 2 wideout in Avery's absence. While a timetable hasn't been established for Avery's return, his core muscle injury will require surgery, which suggests that Jenkins' added opportunities will stretch beyond Week 5, a scenario that makes him worth a speculative add in deeper formats.

Jenkins rushed one time for no gain and failed to catch a pass against the Dolphins on Sunday.
The Chiefs rarely use more than three receivers at one time, and Jenkins barely sees the field as a result. He took six offensive snaps in Sunday's game, receiving a carry on one but doing little else. He will likely continue to have minimal value barring an injury.

Jenkins (concussion) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Titans, the Tennessean reports.
Jenkins should be available to the Chiefs in Week 1, though he's a break or two away from fantasy relevance in most formats.

Jenkins was forced out of Thursday's preseason finale with a concussion.
Fellow wideout Kyle Williams hurt his shoulder in the game, so when the dust settles in the coming days, the Chiefs may be looking to bolster their depth at the position.
Mon Aug 11 201412:22Jenkins has returned to practice
Jenkins, who didn't suit up for the Chiefs' preseason opener because of a sore hamstring, has returned to practice, ESPN.com reports.
At this stage, Jenkins is behind Dwayne Boweand Donnie Avery in the Chiefs' wideout pecking order, but if either of the aforementioned receivers suffers an injury going forward, Jenkins and/or Junior Hemingway would presumably be in line for added looks in the team's offense.
