Sun Sep 20 201511:39Johnson (concussion) active Sunday against Redskins
Johnson (concussion) is active Sunday against the Redskins.
Johnson left last weekend's game with a concussion, but he progressed through the league's protocol for head injuries quickly and was able to practice fully Friday. He had a big interception in Week 1, though he's still a rather questionable fantasy option in most formats.

Johnson (concussion) is probable for Sunday's game after practicing fully Friday, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Johnson had a big interception for the Rams in last Sunday's win and St. Louis will certainly be happy to have him in the lineup. He had a strong preseason and a solid Week 1, but wait until you see more of a trend with his interceptions and tackles before even considering him as an IDP option.

Johnson (concussion) would have participated fully Thursday, if the Rams had held practice.
The designation is merely an estimation but hints that Johnson may have passed the league's concussion protocol. While that could be clarified on Friday's injury report, he'll line up as one of the Rams' starting cornerbacks when he's 100 percent healthy.

Johnson had the Rams' lone interception in Sunday's 34-31 overtime win against Seattle, but left the game with a concussion.
It's unclear if Johnson will miss any time with the injury, but he will have to clear concussion protocol before he's allowed back on the practice field. He was playing well before being injured and with E.J. Gaines (foot) already gone for the season, the Rams can't afford to lose another corner.
Mon Aug 17 201512:03Johnson will assume second starting cornerback role
With E.J. Gaines out for the season, Johnson will assume the second starting cornerback role, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Johnson recovered his starting spot the same way he lost it in 2014, due to injury. He had an interception in Friday's preseason loss to Oakland and certainly is up to the task despite being hurt for much of last season.

Johnson picked off a Derek Carr pass in Friday's 18-3 preseason loss to Oakland.
Johnson is competing with injured E.J. Gaines for the second cornerback spot, and made a nice play on the interception. Whichever player loses the battle is still going to play quite a bit in nickel packages, but Johnson helped his case a little in Friday's game.
Sun Nov 2 201414:51Johnson (knee) active for Sunday's game in San Francisco
Johnson (knee) is active for Sunday's game in San Francisco, Myles Simmons of the Rams' official site reports.
Because fellow corner Janoris Jenkins (knee) is sidelined, Johnson is a good bet to step into the starting lineup in his first game action of the season.
Fri Oct 31 201418:38Johnson (knee) probable for Sunday's game against San Francisco
Johnson (knee) is probable for Sunday's game against San Francisco.
Johnson should step into the starting lineup and give St. Louis a boost at the cornerback position, but he doesn't look like IDP material at this time.
Sun Oct 26 201411:40Johnson (knee) inactive for Sunday's game against Chiefs
Johnson (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
Both Johnson and Janoris Jenkins (knee) are inactive, leaving an already struggling Rams secondary even weaker than usual.

Johnson (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against Kansas City.
Johnson was listed as a practice participant all week, including a full practice Friday, yet St. Louis Post-Dispatch writer Jim Thomas guessed that Johnson isn't yet 100 percent and is probably little more than an emergency depth consideration. With Janoris Jenkins (knee) also questionable, the Rams secondary looks vulnerable.

Johnson (knee) is still not practicing and does not have a timetable for a return, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Johnson was originally supposed to miss only six weeks, but the injury seems to be lingering. E.J. Gaines has received most of the snaps in his absence, and it looks like Johnson will miss at least another week with the MCL sprain.

Johnson (knee) suffered a sprained MCL during Saturday's preseason game and is slated to miss the next six weeks, CBS Sports reports.
Johnson was carted off Saturday night and his absence now creates a vacancy at the Rams' starting cornerback position opposite Janoris Jenkins. In his stead, perhaps St. Louis will try deploying versatile rookie Lamarcus Joyner outside, with E.J. Gaines and Brandon McGee other in-house candidates.
Sat Aug 23 201421:57Trumaine Johnson: Exits With Knee Injury
Johnson left Saturday's preseason game against the Browns with a left knee injury, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Jim Thomas reports.
Johnson, who was locked in as a starter, left the field on a cart with a towel over his head. The early signs point to a serious injury, which would be a major problem for a Rams team that lacks depth at cornerback. Projected slot man Lamarcus Joyner could perhaps slide into a starting role.
Mon Aug 11 201419:16Johnson back practicing Monday
Johnson was back practicing Monday, Rams News Now reports.
Johnson has been struggling with a leg injury but seemed to get through practice intact Monday. Barring injury, he has one of the two starting cornerback positions.
Thu Jul 31 201419:23Johnson returned to practice Thursday but once again limped off ...
Johnson returned to practice Thursday but once again limped off with an unspecified injury, according to the St. Louis American.
This is hopefully just Johnson working out the links of a summer away from football and not something more serious. The Rams will likely hold him out of a few practices before letting him back on the field again.
Sun Mar 30 201412:43Rams want to see more from Trumaine Johnson
Rams LCB Trumaine Johnson is a player the team wants to "let breathe" a bit in 2014.
It's part of the reason the Rams released CB Cortland Finnegan earlier this month. They want Johnson and RCB Janoris Jenkins to take the next step in their development and not have to look over their shoulders at a veteran like Finnegan. Johnson has the size (6-foot-2, 208) that every team looks for. Quarterbacks had a 74.5 passer rating while throwing at Johnson last season.

Sun Nov 24 201315:31Trumaine Johnson done with concussion
Rams LCB Trumaine Johnson was forced from St. Louis' Week 12 game against the Bears with a concussion, and will not return.
With Cortland Finnegan on injured reserve, it leaves the Rams with just Janoris Jenkins and Brandon McGee at cornerback. In the middle of an up-and-down year, Johnson is week to week.

Sat Oct 5 201310:09Rams' secondary battling injuries, illness
Rams CB Trumaine Johnson missed the entire practice week with an illness.
The Rams are severely banged up in the secondary. Cortland Finnegan (hamstring) is listed as doubtful, SS T.J. McDonald broke his leg last Thursday, FS Rodney McLeod exited Week 4 early, and No. 4 CB Brandon McGee is battling a hamstring injury. If Blaine Gabbert can get some time to throw Sunday -- that's a big "if" -- Cecil Shorts and Justin Blackmon could have nice days.

Fri Aug 16 201319:18Trumaine Johnson could lose nickel duties
Rams CB Trumaine Johnson has "been a bit inconsistent" during training camp.
Johnson appeared in all 16 games and made three starts as a rookie, but is in danger of losing playing time to Brandon McGee this season. McGee worked with the first-team defense Friday and could overtake Johnson for nickel duties if he continues to show well in camp.
