McManus was 3-for-3 on his field goal attempts, connecting from 33 twice and 39 yards, while hitting both of his extra points Sunday against the Vikings.

McManus is a perfect 9-for-9 this season on field goals and 10-for-10 on extra points. The Broncos' offense hasn't been as prolific this season as most of last, but it's still good enough for McManus to continue to be a solid fantasy kicking option.

McManus connected on all four of his field goal attempts, which came from 57, 56, 44 and 33 yards, and his lone PAT on Sunday against the Ravens.

McManus had only one 50-yard attempt last season, which he missed, but the new coaching staff trusted him to nail the two long ones in the thin Denver air. The Broncos' offense failed to score a touchdown Sunday, which isn't a regular occurrence since Peyton Manning became the starting quarterback, so while McManus may not get a heavy amount of field goals, he's clearly been trusted with longer attempts at home, something that can pay extra dividends in some fantasy formats.

Both Troy Renck of the Denver Post and Mike Klis of 9News noted that McManus looked sharp during Wednesday's practice.

With the Broncos having released Connor Barth on Wednesday morning, McManus is now the team's only placekicker and assuming he avoids injury, he is now on track to handle the team's field goal duties to start the coming season.

Following the release of Matt Prater, who had served three games of a four-game suspension, McManus is the unquestioned kicker in Denver. Per usual, the Peyton Manning-led Broncos are more often than not converting drives into touchdowns, though, affording McManus only three short field goal attempts in three outings.
