Tue Feb 4 201414:00Saints ILB Reddick could see increased role
Saints second-year ILB Kevin Reddick could see an increased role on defense in 2014.
Reddick made the team as an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina but played just 15 defensive snaps as a rookie, while also notching nine tackles on special teams. He's not going to start, with Curtis Lofton and David Hawthrone locked in, but Reddick possesses plus size and athleticism that he can contribute.

The New Orleans Times-Picayune believes undrafted ILB Kevin Reddick "has a future" with the Saints.
Reddick hasn't necessarily been a standout player at training camp, but inside 'backer isn't a glorious position. Beat writer Mike Triplett notes that Reddick has "shown flashes" of being a "powerful thumper" on early downs. Due to injuries and age in the Saints' linebacker corps, Reddick has a shot to make the team.
