Wolff has been waived/injured by the Eagles, PhillyMag.com reports.

Wolff has struggled with right knee problems in recent years and following microfracture surgery last November, the safety ran into further complications during training camp last week. Reportedly unable to run, Wolff could now be claimed by another team, reverted to the Eagles' injured reserve or released with an injury settlement.

Wolff (knee) is no lock to make the final roster, according to CSN Philadelphia's Geoff Mosher.

Wolff had knee surgery in November and missed offseason practices, after recording just seven tackles in seven games last year. Walter Thurmond has emerged as the clear favorite to start next to Malcolm Jenkins at safety, leaving Wolff to compete with a group that includes Chris Maragos and Chris Prosinki for what will likely be two or three roster spots.

Despite being cleared by Dr. James Andrews a few weeks ago, Wolff (knee) has not been able to participate in offseason practices, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Eagles head coach Chip Kelly recently praised Walter Thurmond, a converted cornerback who has been lining up as a first-team safety in Wolff's absence. Wolff still figures to get a chance to compete for the starting job during training camp, but it seems Thurmond has jumped out to an early lead. Wolff underwent knee surgery in November.

The Eagles placed Wolff (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

It wasn't apparent that Wolff was dealing with a knee injury, but he will not play again this season. Roc Carmichael was signed to take Wolff's place on the roster.

Wolff is inactive for Monday's game against the Panthers.

After drawing a start at safety for the Eagles in Week 9, Wolff is the odd man out, while recently-signed safety Chris Prosinski will suit up for the team Monday.
