Sun Oct 11 201520:51Lacy rushed for 27 yards on 13 carries in Sunday's win over Rams
Lacy rushed for 27 yards on 13 carries in Sunday's win over the Rams. He added an eight-yard reception.
Sunday was Lacy's second game this season where he has been held for fewer than 30 yards. Granted the games were against the vaunted defensive fronts of St. Louis and Seattle and he exited the Seattle game early, but Lacy had just three such games in his first two seasons combined. More disturbingly, after scoring 24 times in his first two seasons, Lacy has found the end zone just once in 2015. That trend should change as Lacy figures to get the bulk of Green Bay's runs near the goal line, but with Aaron Rodgers at quarterback, the Packers have not been shy throwing the ball at close range.

Lacy (ankle) had 18 carries for 90 yards and caught 1-of-3 targets for three yards in Sunday's 17-3 win at San Francisco.
Lacy had a short week, after rushing for 46 yards against the Chiefs on Monday Night Football, but he looked solid Sunday, posting his highest yardage total of the season. He lost out on a potential one-yard touchdown in the third quarter, when fullback John Kuhn got the call instead. The bruising RB has scored just one time so far this year, and has caught only six passes, but he should improve in those areas soon, and will look to do that in Week 5 against the Rams.
Sun Oct 4 201515:20Lacy (ankle) listed as active Sunday in San Francisco
Lacy (ankle) is listed as active Sunday in San Francisco, the Packers' official site reports.
During the week, Lacy claimed that the pain in his ankle was diminishing, which didn't occur as a rookie in 2013. With that aside, he'll aim for his first 100-yard outing of the season against a 49ers defense that has yielded 4.2 YPC and five touchdowns to running backs this season.

Lacy (ankle) is listed as probable for Sunday's game in San Francisco, Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports.
Lacy was a full participant throughout the week of practice, after sharing work with James Starks in Monday's win over the Chiefs. Lacy will likely handle a larger percentage of the snaps and touches in Week 4, as there's been no indication that his ankle will be a lingering issue,

Lacy (ankle) implied Thursday that he's not overly concerned about his ankle, NFL.com reports. "It's not going to be a lingering thing," Lacy said. "It's going away. My rookie year, it really didn't go away."
Lacy was banged up with an ankle injury during the 2013 season, but he missed only one game and was able to shoulder the rushing load into the postseason. He did not appear to be favoring the ankle during the Packers' win over Kansas City on Monday night, finishing with 46 yards on 10 carries to go with three receptions for 41 yards, all while splitting snaps with James Starks.
Wed Sep 30 201518:01Lacy (ankle) full participant in practice Wednesday
Lacy (ankle) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Playing with a recovering ankle Monday versus the Chiefs, Lacy handled 31 of 76 offensive snaps, versus 39 for backup James Starks. The breakdown of touches followed a similar path -- 13 for Lacy to Starks' 18 -- but Lacy's full practice Wednesday paves the way for the workhorse to assume his normal role Sunday at San Francisco.

Lacy (ankle) rushed for 46 yards on 10 carries and caught three passes (on three targets) for 41 yards in Monday night's win over the Chiefs.
Lacy's ankle injury from last Sunday didn't seem to slow him on his 13 touches Monday, but teammate James Starks' 18 touches afforded him a lightened workload in wet playing conditions. While the Packers' five touchdowns all came through the passing game, it appears Lacy will be fine health-wise as the Packers approach their Week 4 contest in San Francisco.
Mon Sep 28 201519:04Eddie Lacy: (Ankle) Active Sunday
Lacy (ankle) is listed as active Monday against the Chiefs, the Packers' official site reports.
The Packers' schedule worked in Lacy's favor this week, as the Monday night contest afforded him an extra day to rest. He was even upgraded to probable Sunday, which indicates that he should act as the Packers' lead back in Week 3, but James Starks' presence could result in modest workloads for both running backs.
Sun Sep 27 201513:39Eddie Lacy: (Ankle) Probable For Monday
Lacy (ankle) has been upgraded to probable for Monday night's game against the Chiefs, the Packers' official site reports.
After spraining his ankle last weekend, Lacy returned to practice on a limited basis Friday and was initially listed as questionable for Week 3 on Saturday. With the upgrade, the Packers will likely give Lacy the start on Monday night, but James Starks could still receive a healthy dose of touches.

Lacy (ankle) was limited at practice again Saturday and is officially questionable for Monday's game against the Chiefs.
Lacy missed the team's first practice of the week, but got in limited sessions both Friday and Saturday. He's fortunate to have an extra day of rest heading into Monday's matchup, but it's possible he will only play a limited role in Monday's game given the depth at the position with James Starks behind him.
Fri Sep 25 201517:36Eddie Lacy: (Ankle) Limited Friday
Lacy (ankle) returned to a limited practice Friday.
Lacy missed Thursday's practice, after exiting Sunday's game against the Seahawks in the first quarter. He'll have an extra day to recover with the Packers facing the Chiefs on Monday, but he still seems to be headed for a questionable designation. If Lacy doesn't play, James Starks will likely dominate the backfield snaps and touches.
Fri Sep 25 201511:51Eddie Lacy: (Ankle) Will Practice Friday
Head coach Mike McCarthy said Lacy (ankle) will take part in individual drills Friday.
It's not clear how much work Lacy will get in beyond that, but it looks like he will be able to get some work in Friday after sitting out the previous day. With the Packers not playing until Monday this week, Lacy's official Week 3 injury designation will not come out until sometime Saturday.
Thu Sep 24 201514:04Eddie Lacy: (Ankle) Doesn't Practice Thursday
Lacy (ankle) wasn't present at practice Thursday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Lacy upheld head coach Mike McCarthy's prediction that he would take part in drills to kick off the week of preparation. Instead of taking in the proceedings from the sideline, Lacy wasn't seen Thursday, indicating that rehab will likely dominate the lead-up to Monday's game versus the Chiefs. No matter if he takes the field or not, James Starks will handle any RB work that Lacy cannot in Week 3.
Thu Sep 24 201513:39Eddie Lacy: (Ankle) Likely Won't Practice Thursday
Head coach Mike McCarthy doesn't believe that Lacy (ankle) will practice Thursday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. Before drills, McCarthy said, "They'll [Lacy and Davante Adams (ankle)] both do some pre-practice work and then we'll see from there, but I don't have high expectations of them practicing today."
Lacy was knocked out of Sunday's showdown with the Seahawks early due to an ankle sprain, but with the Packers' Week 3 tilt landing on Monday night, he has an additional day to rehabilitate the injury. His best-case scenario is likely an even split with fellow back James Starks, as intimated by McCarthy earlier in the week, but Lacy's progress will ultimately determine his workload.
Mon Sep 21 201519:49Eddie Lacy: (Ankle) Receives Treatment Monday
Lacy received treatment on his right ankle Monday, but his status likely won't be known until the Packers take the practice field Thursday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Lacy was removed in the first quarter of Sunday's win against the Seahawks due to an ankle injury, which held him out thereafter. While X-rays were returned negative, he was diagnosed with a sprained ankle, leaving his Week 3 availability in question. Thursday's practice could shed some light on his ability to play Monday against the Chiefs, but head coach Mike McCarthy relayed that the Packers "could play 50/50 with Eddie and James [Starks]," according to Jason Wilde of ESPN Wisconsin.

Lacy suffered a sprained ankle during Sunday night's game against the Seahawks, but could be healthy enough to play in Week 3 versus the Chiefs, NFL.com reports.
Lacy barely played in Sunday's win, but fortunately his post-game X-rays came back negative and helped reveal he's only dealing with a sprained ankle. Given the minor nature of that injury, Lacy could recover in time for next Monday's game against the Chiefs, making his practice involvement throughout this week worthwhile to monitor. If Lacy is unable to suit up, expect backup James Starks to carry the bulk of the Packers' backfield work, especially after his 106 all-purpose yards against the Seahawks.
Sun Sep 20 201523:42Eddie Lacy: (Ankle) X-Rays Negative
X-rays on Lacy's ankle came back negative, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports
Lacy left Sunday's game against the Seahawks in the first quarter, initially considered questionable to return. He was then ruled out around halftime, but he at least seems to have avoided a fracture. James Starks took over as the lead back, serving as a three-down workhorse in Lacy's absence.
Sun Sep 20 201522:34Eddie Lacy: (Ankle) Ruled Out For Rest Of Night
Lacy (ankle) will not return to Sunday's game against the Seahawks, according to NBC's broadcast of the game.
Lacy injured his ankle in the first quarter, finishing with just three carries for nine yards. James Starks is the Packers' only other active running back, leaving fullback John Kuhn as the top backup for the rest of the night.
Sun Sep 20 201521:18Eddie Lacy: Exits With Ankle Injury
Lacy left Sunday's game against the Seahawks with a right ankle injury in the first quarter, and he was taken back to the locker room on a cart, ESPN's Rob Demovsky reports.
Lacy is questionable to return, with James Starks leading Green Bay's backfield in the meantime. No. 3 running back Alonzo Harris was a healthy scratch, leaving fullback John Kuhn as the top backup if Lacy can't return.

Lacy carried 19 times for 85 yards and a touchdown, while catching two passes on three targets for 13 yards Sunday against the Bears.
James Starks was the only other running back to touch the ball Sunday, finishing with two carries for two yards. Lacy will continue to dominate the Packers' backfield, and his ability to catch passes as well keeps him an elite fantasy option week-in and week-out. Up next in Week 2 is the Lambeau Field home opener against the Seahawks.
