Austin caught two passes on six targets for just six yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Packers. He also ran the ball three times for another 22 yards.

The mercurial receiver made a minimal impact in the passing game after posting his best line of the season in Week 5, but he was able to salvage this performance with his fourth touchdown in the last two games. Austin's contributions in the receiving department have been all over the map this season, but the Rams are committed to putting the ball in his hands in the running game and on special teams as well, affording him a number of ways to generate fantasy production. The Rams will take on the Browns in Week 7, after their upcoming bye.

Austin had six receptions on seven targets for 96 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 24-22 upset win at Arizona. He also had two carries for 20 yards.

He got a few more reps in the passing game because Brian Quick was inactive, and with so many other options in the passing game, Austin's fantasy upside is still rather limited unless they develop a game plan specifically built around getting him a high number of touches.

Austin's one catch was a screen that he took quite a ways before getting tackled. This would be the way the Rams would most like to use Austin, with quick shots that put him in a lot of open space, and he will likely see some carries in the regular season as well.

Austin nearly matched his receiving totals with his rushing yardage in 2014, putting up 242 yards through the air and 224 yards on the ground.

Austin did not have a solid fantasy season, as he failed to score a receiving touchdown or more than four receptions in a single game. While the Rams did use him a little more in the running game, he never combined for more than 60 yards in a game.

Austin started over Stedman Bailey and rarely left the field, yet the former first-round draft pick finished with between 10 and 20 receiving yards for an eighth consecutive week. Austin's actually done more damage on the ground than through the air over the last four weeks, but it's impossible to count on consistent running production from a wideout. While the increased snaps are indicative of a desire to get Austin more involved, that's yet to play out in terms of targets or receptions.

Austin was in for 66 percent of snaps at wideout, and collected two catches for 14 yards to go with 46 yards rushing and a punt return for touchdown on Sunday, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Austin has scored in three straight games and is being used more and more creatively by the Rams. If you badly need a receiver in a non-PPR league, Austin may still be available.

Injury-wise, Austin should be fine for this one. He has topped 50 total yards just once all season, but if you're scraping the bottom of the barrel for options this week, consider that the Redskins have given up a whopping 26 passing scores and Austin has a touchdown in back-to-back games.

Austin was added to the injury report Friday as a limited participant, which would normally be a concern, but the probable tag is reassuring. With that said, Austin's hit-or-miss role and questionable efficiency as a receiver make him a risky fantasy investment in most cases.

Austin is rarely leaving the field as of late, with the Rams settling into a three wide receiver setup along with Kenny Britt and Stedman Bailey. He had a decent fantasy day Sunday, which have been few and far between for him, but it appears the Rams are at least trying to get him more involved in the offense.

The Rams seemingly still haven't figured out how to use Austin effectively, failing to get him with the ball in space. He missed Week 3 due to a knee injury, but didn't appear to be slowed by it Sunday. It's possible he wasn't given a carry due to the knee concern, but ultimately he's just not getting enough targets to justify starting in most fantasy leagues.

While his knee injury hasn't help, it's been a very disappointing season so far for Austin, who has three catches on four targets for 34 yards this season.

Austin, who suffered a sprained knee in Week 2, thus appears slated to return to the Rams' Week 5 wideout mix, though we'd like to see him get a full and productive game in before endorsing him as a lineup option.
