Williams caught three passes for 49 yards and a touchdown on game-high 10 targets in Sunday's 26-20 loss to the Saints.

The inefficient performance was encouraging, as Williams drew a bunch of targets in the red zone, including his game-tying, 17-yard touchdown on a 4th-and-7 in the final two minutes. He had a few chances to make contested catches near the goal line, but the throws from Brandon Weeden weren't great, and Williams is obviously no Dez Bryant (foot). Though he's locked in as the clear No. 1 wideout until Bryant returns, Williams has to deal with a conservative offense and poor quarterback play. On the bright side, the few shots Dallas takes do seem to be in his direction. The Cowboys host the Patriots in Week 5.

Williams was targeted twice but failed to catch a pass in Sunday's loss to the Falcons.

Brandon Weeden essentially ignored his outside receivers, focusing almost exclusively on short routes to his tight ends and slot options, and as a result the only impact Williams made on the game was dropping a fourth down pass inside the last two minutes as the Cowboys desperately tried to mount a comeback. Williams only had a long gain of 21 yards, but he caught three passes for 45 yards on the final two drives, including an eight-yarder to set up the game-winning touchdown on the very next play. One of his targets came from the New York five-yard line, and he drew a questionable pass interference penalty in the end zone. His increased involvement at the end of the game coincided with the the absence of Dez Bryant, who is expected to miss four-to-six weeks with a broken foot, NFL Network's Desmond Purnell reports. Jason Witten, Cole Beasley and Devin Smith should all see more targets in Bryant's absence, but Williams is a strong candidate to benefit more than anyone else.

Williams caught one pass for a 60-yard touchdown in Saturday's preseason game against the Vikings.

Williams turned on the burners after catching a pass over the middle, leaving a slew of Minnesota defenders in his wake. His big-play ability has never been in question, but it remains to be seen if he'll take on a larger role (in terms of targets) with DeMarco Murray out of town. The Cowboys still hope to lean on their running game, and slot receiver Cole Beasley is also a candidate to see added targets.

Williams caught two passes on three targets for 28 yards in Thursday's preseason game against the Chargers.

He came off the field quickly, as the Cowboys' first-team offense only played one series, but Williams appeared to be in fine form. With DeMarco Murray gone and opposition defenses keying even more on Dez Bryant, Williams will have a prime opportunity this season to take his production to the next level.

Williams injured his left elbow towards the end of Thursday's final minicamp practice, the Dallas Morning News reports.

He landed awkwardly on his arm after competing with rookie Byron Jones for a ball thrown over the middle during team drills. The injury doesn't appear to be serious, and X-rays came back negative, so this likely won't be an issue for Williams when the Cowboys reconvene for training camp next month.

"Terrance has had one of the best offseasons I've seen in a while," Romo said Wednesday. "I'm very excited about his approach, the way he's played up to this point in the offseason."

Williams is the first person to admit that he had an inconsistent second NFL season, in part due to his limited role in an offense that needed to give regular touches to DeMarco Murray, Dez Bryant and Jason Witten. Murray's now in Philadelphia though and Witten getting older, so the door could be open for Williams to see a much bigger workload in 2015. Earning Romo's trust this offseason would go a long way to making that possibility a reality.

Williams caught 3-of-6 targets for 92 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Lions.

While he hasn't put together many good games since early October, Williams now has eight catches for 212 yards and four touchdowns on 13 targets over the last three weeks. His 76-yard touchdown reception got a lifeless Dallas team on the scoreboard late in the first half, and he later caught the go-ahead score in the final three minutes. The first touchdown was especially impressive, as Williams snuck by a slew of defenders to turn an intermediate pass into a long gain. What he lacks in consistency, he has made up for with an unusual number of big plays through his first two NFL seasons. Williams gets a decent matchup next week, with the Cowboys traveling to Lambeau Field to face the Packers.

He finishes the season with just 37 receptions on 65 targets for 621 yards, numbers well down from both expectations and his production as a rookie, although Williams did pull down eight TDs to help boost his overall line. As the Cowboys' deep threat, his role was hampered by Tony Romo's back troubles during the season, but Romo has looked better in December and started hooking up with Williams down the field again, which makes the second-year wideout both an intriguing sleeper in playoff pools and a potential value pick in 2015.

Williams had two catches - both touchdowns - for 52 yards in Sunday's 42-7 win over the Colts.

Williams bookended the Cowboys' scoring brigade, catching a nine-yard score from Tony Romo in the first quarter, then closing out the Cowboys' scoring with a 43-yard reception from Brandon Weeden in the fourth. Meanwhile, Cole Beasley has made the most of limited playing time, piling up nine receptions for 149 yards and three touchdowns over the last three games.
