Tue Apr 28 201513:12Dion Jordan: Suspended For All Of 2015
Jordan will be suspended for the entire 2015 season for a repeat violation of the NFL's substance abuse policy, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Jordan reportedly doesn't plan to appeal the suspension, which resulted from a diluted drug test sample. The former No. 3 overall draft pick has just 46 tackles and three sacks in 26 games through his first two seasons, and the Dolphins may not want him back when he's eligible to return in 2016. Jordan still figures to get another chance in the NFL, as his physical talent will be worth a flier for some team, assuming the former Oregon Duck wants to keep playing.

Jordan has not shown up to the Dolphins off-season conditioning program, according to the Miami Herald.
Jordan has been a disappointment pretty much from day one in Miami and not showing up for these voluntary workouts certainly won't go unnoticed. Jordan may not be long for Miami if his attitude and play doesn't change.

Jordan was pretty much invisible during the 2014 campaign with 20 tackles and just a single sack.
The Dolphins made noise during training camp and then once again late in the season about possibly moving Jordan to linebacker and may experiment with that position switch during mini and training camp next season. Jordan is unlikely to ever reach the high hopes the team once had for him.

Miami will consider moving Jordan to linebacker next season, according to the Palm Beach Post.
Jordan was the third overall pick in the 2013 draft but has never been able to stay in the starting lineup for a long period of time. Injuries have plagued Jordan in his short time with the team and with the team deep at defensive end but in need of linebackers, a move could be made.

Jordan (suspension) was added to the Dolphins' 53-man roster Saturday, Chris Perkins of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

The third overall pick in the 2013 draft, he underwhelmed as a rookie, recording just 26 tackles (19 solo) and two sacks in 16 games, but Jordan will look to finally provide the Dolphins some return on their investment, starting Sunday against Jacksonville.

Despite the NFL's revision of its drug policy Tuesday night, Jordan will not be among the players immediately reinstated from his four-game suspension, Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post reports.
Since the exact parameters of the new policy have not been formally announced, it's not yet known why Jordan (nor teammate Reshad Jones) are eligible for immediate reinstatement. The Dolphins will continue to prepare for Sunday's game against the Chiefs with Derrick Shelby and Terrence Fede as their top backups at defensive end.

The Dolphins have no plan at this time to move Jordan (suspension) to linebacker, according to the Palm Beach Post.
Miami is set at defensive end with Cameron Wake and Olivier Vernon but are having problems at linebacker. The coaching staff just doesn't feel like they have enough time to get Jordan acquainted at linebacker to see him succeed there.
Thu Jul 3 201418:56Dion Jordan says he took banned stimulants
Suspended Dolphins DE Dion Jordan claims his four-game ban stems from taking stimulants.
Jordan is claiming he didn't take steroids, despite a noticeably bulked-up frame this spring. "I worked carefully with my advisors and the union to investigate the test results, and I take full responsibility for the test results," he said in a statement. Jordan will miss games against New England, Buffalo, Kansas City, and Oakland. He can return in Week 6, following Miami's Week 5 bye.

Thu Jul 3 201416:29Dion Jordan receives 4-game ban for PEDs
NFL suspended Dolphins DE Dion Jordan four games for violating the league's performance-enhancing substance policy.
Jordan will miss the first four games of the season but will be allowed to participate in training camp and play in preseason games. The No. 3 overall pick of the 2013 draft, Jordan struggled his first year in the league, recording only two sacks in 339 defensive snaps. Jordan put on almost 20 pounds this offseason, and the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero observed it "looked as if he took an air pump and plugged it into his arms and shoulders."

Tue Jun 10 201421:25Dolphins DE Jordan 'doing less thinking'
Speaking Tuesday, Dolphins coach Joe Philbin said second-year DE Dion Jordan is playing faster because he's "doing less thinking."
Jordan himself said something similar on Monday. It's not surprising that the game is slowing down for the No. 3 overall pick of the 2013 draft. Up to 265 pounds after weighing in at 248 at last year's Combine, Jordan has the talent to make a big-time sophomore leap.

Tue May 27 201412:20Dolphins DE Dion Jordan up to 265 pounds
Dolphins second-year DE Dion Jordan is up to 265 pounds.
Jordan weighed in at 248 at the Combine two Februaries ago. Dolphins beat writers observed that it looks like Jordan took an "air pump" to his arms and shoulders over the winter. At this time last year, Jordan was rehabbing a shoulder injury which didn't allow him to work out. He's 100 percent healthy now and has been at the Dolphins facility for over a month. The Dolphins are expecting a big sophomore leap from last year's No. 3 overall pick.

Tue Apr 22 201419:34Dion Jordan reported well before workouts
Dion Jordan has been working out at the Dolphins' team facility for a "couple of weeks."
Voluntary workouts just began on Monday, but Jordan decided to get a jump on them coming off his disappointing rookie season. "Growth and development are two words I think of when I think of (Jordan)," were the words of coach Joe Philbin. "We've got to get him up to speed on the fundamentals at his position, which were new last season for him." Jordan is 100 percent healthy after shoulder surgery cost him much of last offseason.

Tue Apr 15 201410:32Dolphins 'excited' about Dion Jordan
Dolphins GM Dennis Hickey said he is "excited" about OLB/DE Dion Jordan and is "looking for big things from him."
"He's a very talented player and this is a big offseason for him," Hickey said. "Last year with his shoulder he didn't have an opportunity to have a full offseason. That's so important." Hickey is patching things back up after it was rumored Jordan could be on the trade block. If the Dolphins want to maximize Jordan's potential, they need to move him around more and let him use his athleticism.

Fri Apr 11 201409:30Dion Jordan-to-Eagles talks not dead
Philly Mag doesn't believe the Dion Jordan-to-Eagles trade talks are "dead" and thinks OLB/DE Brandon Graham and the No. 22 overall pick would get it done.
We don't doubt the 22nd pick in May's draft alone would net the Eagles Jordan. But we do doubt the Eagles would part with the pick in the deal. A report surfaced on Thursday that Philadelphia offered Graham and its second-round pick to Miami in exchange for last year's No. 3 overall pick. Both coach Chip Kelly and vice president of player personnel Tom Gamble are said to "covet" Jordan.

Thu Apr 10 201417:26Report: PHI 'made an offer' for Dion Jordan
According to the Delaware County Times, the Eagles "made an offer" for Dolphins DE/OLB Dion Jordan earlier this offseason.
Reporter Bob Grotz's report is via a "respected NFL source." Per Grotz, the Eagles were "said to have included" Brandon Graham and a second-round pick. It's not surprising that wasn't enough for a player who was the No. 3 overall pick of last year's draft. It's also not surprising Chip Kelly is (reportedly) interested in reuniting with a player he coached at Oregon. Jordan would be a strong fit for Kelly's attacking 3-4 defense, but he'll almost certainly remain in Miami.

Tue Mar 25 201411:07Dolphins expect Jordan to make 'big jump'
Coach Joe Philbin said he expects second-year DE Dion Jordan to "make a big jump" in 2014.
"We expect his role to expand," Philbin said. "He played [339] snaps. We definitely want to see that increase. The most natural place is on third down." The Dolphins also want to get DE Derrick Shelby more playing time after his impressive 2013. If the Dolphins only see Jordan as a defensive end, it's going to be hard to get him more snaps behind Shelby and starters Cameron Wake and Olivier Vernon. We can't rule out a Jordan trade ahead of May's draft.
