Johnson suffered a sprained MCL and a sprained ankle during Sunday's game against the Redskins, but is not expected to miss time due to either ailment, The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Johnson will apparently play through his pair of sprains, but with him banged-up, the Eagles' beleaguered offensive line takes another hit in advance of next Sunday's game against the Saints.
Mon Jun 30 201415:09Eagles RT Johnson banned 4 games for PEDs
NFL suspended Eagles RT Lane Johnson four games for violating the league's policy against performance-enhancing drugs.
Perhaps not-so-ironically, our last update on Johnson was regarding his "bulked up" frame this offseason. The Eagles signed Allen Barbre to a three-year extension earlier this month, and he figures to get the first crack at replacing Johnson at right tackle. The No. 4 overall pick in the 2013 draft, Johnson had an outstanding rookie year as a run blocker, but coughed up ten sacks in pass protection. Johnson will miss games against Jacksonville, Indianapolis, Washington, and San Francisco. He'll be eligible to return in Week 5.

Fri Apr 25 201416:46Lane Johnson 'bulked up' in offseason
Eagles RT Lane Johnson has "bulked up" this offseason.
Johnson reported to OTAs "bigger and stronger" after playing last season at 310 pounds. He allowed 10 sacks as a rookie and was overmatched at times in pass blocking, but received a positive grade from Pro Football Focus in eight of his final nine games. Johnson won't be moving to left tackle any time soon and returns as a bookend to Jason Peters in 2014.

Mon Jan 27 201410:17Lane Johnson could be a LT down the road
GM Howie Roseman said RT Lane Johnson could eventually be moved to left tackle.
Current left tackle Jason Peters is 32 years old and entering the final year of his contract. Johnson struggled badly at the beginning of his rookie season, but showed rapid development and was a plus player in the second half. He finished as Pro Football Focus' No. 39 tackle, ahead of No. 1 overall pick Eric Fisher (No. 70) and just behind No. 11 pick D.J. Fluker (No. 38). Johnson's unique athleticism and measureables make him an ideal fit in Chip Kelly's uptempo offense. He'll bring tons of long-term upside into 2014.
