Jernigan (knee) is probable for Sunday's game in Oakland, CSN Bay Area reports.
After missing Week 1, Jernigan will likely start at defensive tackle, replacing Haloti Ngata in the Baltimore defense. The 2014 second-round draft pick said during the offseason that he was preparing to play 50-to-55 snaps per game, which could eventually make him an IDP option, if he shows the same pass-rushing talent he flashed in a limited role last season.

Jernigan (knee) is doubtful for Sunday's regular-season opener against the Broncos.
Jernigan logged limited practices Thursday and Friday, but he's still expected to miss at least one game. With the 2014 second-round draft pick likely sidelined, the Ravens are expected to start third-round rookie Carl Davis at defensive tackle, according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley.
Fri May 29 201511:32Jernigan preparing to play 50-to-55 snaps per game
Jernigan is preparing to play 50-to-55 snaps per game, the Ravens' official website reports.
Jernigan, a second-round draft pick in 2014, excelled in a part-time role as a rookie, making the most of his 330 snaps. With Haloti Ngata traded to Detroit in the offseason, Jernigan is set to assume a starting role and hopes to establish himself as one of the league's top interior pass-rushing threats. While his role in Baltimore's defense isn't particularly conducive to IDP production, Jernigan is a sleeper candidate to reach double-digit sacks, after notching four last season.

Jernigan had four tackles (three solo), two sacks and five quarterback hits in Sunday's 20-12 win over the Jaguars.
Filling in for a suspended Haloti Ngata, the rookie second-round draft pick out of Florida State was a nightmare for Jacksonville's offensive line. While not worthy of IDP consideration in most formats, Jernigan has been highly impressive during his rookie season. He's presumably a big part of Baltimore's plans for the future, and his excellent rookie-season showing could make Ngata expendable after the year.

Jernigan (knee) returned from a meniscus injury to play in Sunday's game against the Falcons.
Jernigan did not record any statistics, but he re-assumed his role in the Ravens' defensive line rotation, which has been depleted by a slew of injuries. Though he has just three tackles (all assisted) in three appearances, the second-round rookie has mostly looked good, and he could perhaps push for more snaps as the season progresses.
Sat Sep 27 201413:54Jernigan unsure when he will be able to return
Jernigan, who is dealing with a meniscus problem, is unsure when he will be able to return, The Baltimore Sun reports.
Already ruled out for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Jernigan is in danger of missing time beyond Week 4. Prior to the injury, the second-round draft pick had been playing well, albeit on a limited number of snaps. The Ravens are struggling for defensive line depth, as Kapron Lewis-Moore (Achilees) and Brent Urban (torn ACL) were placed on IR during the preseason, while starting DE Chris Canty (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game.
Sun Sep 21 201411:44Jernigan inactive Sunday against Browns due to knee injury
Jernigan is inactive Sunday against the Browns due to a knee injury.
Jernigan is dealing with a meniscus issue that could keep him out longer than just Sunday's game. However, he's not a three-down lineman, so his fantasy IDP value is a bit limited.

Jernigan (knee) is doubtful for Sunday's game in Cleveland, the Ravens' official website reports.
Jernigan is dealing with a meniscus issue that may force him to miss time beyond Sunday. He's played 31 snaps through two games while contributing to Baltimore's defensive line rotation.

Jernigan is dealing with a meniscus injury and is unlikely to play in Sunday's game against the Browns, the Baltimore Sun reports.
The Ravens are hoping that Jernigan will be able to avoid surgery, but he figures to miss one game and could miss further action as well.
Sun Aug 3 201417:13Jernigan (back spasms) returned to practice Sunday
Jernigan (back spasms) returned to practice Sunday, the Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson reports.
Jernigan, who previously said that he will play in Thursday's preseason game against the 49ers, reported no setbacks at the conclusion of Sunday's practice. It's not entirely clear how the second-round rookie will be used, as the Ravens' initial depth chart lists Haloti Ngata as the starter at defensive tackle and Brandon Williams as the starter at nose tackle. Though he often played nose tackle at Florida State, Jernigan -- listed at 298 pounds -- profiles as either a defensive tackle or 3-4 defensive end in the Ravens' hybrid scheme. With Ngata at tackle and Chris Canty a near lock for the starting job at defensive end, Jernigan is unlikely to start. While the rookie still figures to have a role in the rotation, snaps may be hard to come by. Outside of the starting trio of Ngata, Canty and the departed Arthur Jones, no Baltimore lineman played more than 240 snaps last season. With Kapron Lewis-Moore, DeAngelo Tyson and perhaps Terrence Cody (hip) also in the mix for playing time, Jernigan only warrants IDP consideration in dynasty leagues.

Jernigan (back) told Ravens coach John Harbaugh that he will play in Thursday's preseason game against the 49ers.
While the rookie second-rounder obviously won't have the final say, his optimism can only be taken as a good sign. Given that Jernigan is merely dealing with back spasm, there hasn't been much concern over the injury. He still figures to have some kind of role in the d-line rotation, and may even end up as a Week 1 starter. Talented as he may be, Jernigan does not figure to emerge as an IDP option this year, as he'll be working on the interior line in Baltimore's hybrid defense.
Fri Aug 1 201416:49Jernigan dealing with back spasms
Jernigan has been dealing with back spasms, the Baltimore Sun reports.
At this early stage in training camp, back spasms aren't particularly worrisome. The second-round draft pick out of FSU still figures to be part of the Ravens' defensive-line rotation, and he may even earn a starting spot. With Haloti Ngata likely to take most of the snaps at nose tackle, Jernigan could compete against 2013 third-round selection Brandon Williams to start at defensive tackle in Baltimore's hybrid defense. Regardless of his eventual role, Jernigan is a longshot to warrant IDP consideration at any point this season.
Sat Jun 7 201416:02Timmy Jernigan off to fast start at OTAs
Ravens second-round DT Timmy Jernigan is "off to a fast start" at OTAs.
Jernigan has flashed during offseason workouts and is being rotated in with the first-team defense. He's competing with Kapron Lewis-Moore and Brandon Williams at the left end spot. Even if Jernigan doesn't win the starting job, he should make an early-career impact on the defensive line.
