Brown (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Giants.
Brown was a full participant in practice all week, so he was fully expected to suit up for the afternoon contest. An emerging IDP option, Brown already has more combined turnovers (three) than his rookie campaign, and is on pace to rack up significantly more tackles as well.

Brown logged two interceptions in Sunday's win over Miami - one returned for a touchdown - while also picking up seven tackles and two passes defensed.
It's crazy that Ryan Tannehill had 162 straight passes without a pick - a new Miami record - and then Brown and the Bills decided to flip that story on its backside, getting three interceptions and making Tannehill miss his receivers for much of the afternoon. Brown chimed in with 109 tackles in his rookie season, and with 25 through three games looks well on his way to passing that total. He's going to be a good one.

Brown recorded 11 tackles (six solo) and forced a fumble in Sunday's matchup against the Patriots.
After an impressive training camp, the 22-year old linebacker has turned heads through the first two regular season games in 2015. He was all over the field on Sunday and should have a good shot to lead the Bills in tackles. He's on the radar as an IDP, especially in such a great all-around defense.
Tue Aug 4 201511:32New coach Rex Ryan already pleased with Brown
New coach Rex Ryan is already pleased with Brown, who's expected to lead the linebackers corps this season, The Buffalo News reports. Said Ryan, "A sharp guy. I can't tell you how instinctive this guy is. It's hard to fool him in the run game. He's in great position. He's well-coached. ... It looks like he's been in this system for years."
Brown should see the field for all three downs as an inside linebacker this season. Given the strong defense around him and his fine tackling skills, Brown stands a good chance to build on his 109-tackle rookie season.

With the Bills trading Kiko Alonso and not bringing in any big-name linebackers, Brown is expected to lead the linebacking corps in 2015 as the "mike" in new coach Rex Ryan's 4-3 defense, The Buffalo News reports.
Brown had a fantastic rookie season with 109 tackles and an interception, and there's little reason he can't take it one step higher in 2015 with more experience under his belt combined with the fact he's likely to be on the field for almost every defensive snap.

Brown finished his rookie season with 109 total tackles, two passes defensed, one interception, one fumble recovery, and no sacks.
Brown stepped immediately into a role of three-down starter, pretty impressive for a third-round pick. He's a heady player, and while it'd be nice to see him get at the quarterback a bit more, Brown seems to have a nice, long career in store. As promising as he is, don't be surprised if the tackles take a small step backward next season, as Kiko Alonso should be ready to return, and Alonso may be the one Bill who's a better tackler than Brown.

Brown logged nine total tackles in the Week 8 win over the Jets, while getting on the field for all 84 of the defensive snaps.
Brown has clearly taken over the starting outside linebacker spot from Keith Rivers, who had just one defensive snap last week. He's not much of a ballhawk at this level yet - though the rookie did pick up his first career interception, as did pretty much half the defense in a game where Geno Smith and Michael Vick seemed to be throwing at the wrong team all day - but Brown has logged 60 tackles halfway through the season. In IDP leagues that reward a point per tackle, he's already become money in his first season.
Mon Oct 20 201421:02Brown logged six tackles in Sunday's win over Vikings
Brown logged six tackles in Sunday's win over the Vikings. He was on the field for all 64 of the team's defensive plays, The Buffalo News reports.
While the tackle total isn't great, it's news that Brown received all the snaps even though the Bills tend to use four linebackers in a rotation. Keith Rivers was the one who too a back seat Sunday, receiving only a handful of plays. On the season, Brown has 51 total tackles already, though he's failed to record a pick, sack, or pass defensed.

Brown registered a season-low two total tackles in Sunday's loss to the Patriots.
Maybe the Bills didn't want a rookie to dominate the snaps - like Brown had been doing for much of the season - when up against Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, but for whatever reason Brown only saw the field for 44 percent of the defensive snaps. With Brandon Spikes, Nigel Bradham, and Keith Rivers all healthy again, Brown loses some of the nice value he had when that group went through some injury issues earlier.

Brown's teammate Nigel Bradham (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game, so Brown is expected to get yet another start and should see plenty of action.
The rookie has logged 40 total tackles through four games and typically doesn't come off the field when one of the other Bills' main linebackers has been out, which has been the case in three of four games so far. Brown makes a good source for tackles this week against a Lions offense that tends to chew up a lot of plays.
Mon Sep 29 201414:53Brown posted nine tackles during Sunday's loss to Houston
Brown posted nine tackles during Sunday's loss to Houston. The rookie saw action on 75 percent of the defensive snaps, according to Joe Buscaglia of WGR550.com.
With Keith Rivers returning from an injury, we knew Brown's playing time would come off the 100 percent he saw for three weeks, so 75 percent is where things settled, while Brown still put up strong IDP totals with the Buffalo run defense stuffing the Texans all afternoon. Starter Nigel Bradham suffered a knee injury during the game, so keep an eye on his status this week. That will directly affect Brown's potential playing time Sunday against the Lions.

Brown posted 11 tackles during Sunday's loss to the Chargers, the second straight week he's posted double digits.
Brown also is the only Bill to play 100 percent of the defensive snaps this season, as apparently the team really likes the versatile rookie. One word of caution: Brown has been starting due to absences from Nigel Bradham and Keith Rivers, but with Rivers expected back soon, pay attention to who the Bills plan on lining up as starters. Brown has earned time on the field either way, but the high snap count could come down a bit once Rivers is fully healthy.

Brown's teammate Keith Rivers practiced on a limited basis for the third straight day Friday but is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Chargers.
It sounds like Brown is going to start for a third straight game at outside linebacker. Given that the impressive rookie has 20 tackles and a fumble recovery so far while playing 100 percent of the defensive snaps, once Rivers is confirmed out Brown is a legit IDP play in deeper leagues this week. And maybe in not-so-deep leagues as well.

Brown led the Bills with 13 tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's win over the Dolphins.
Brown was thrust into a starting role in light of teammate Keith Rivers (groin) being ruled out Sunday. The rookie third-rounder performed admirably, helping limit Miami's rushing attack to under four yards per carry. With Rivers potentially missing one more game, Brown carries 20 total tackles into next Sunday's contest versus San Diego.

Brown's teammate Keith Rivers (groin) is expected to miss at least two games, according to ESPN.com.
That means Brown - who started in Week 1 in place of a suspended Nigel Bradham - will almost certainly get two more games, and perhaps more, as a starter on the other side. The rookie put up seven total tackles in his debut, and while MLB Brandon Spikes is probably the best Buffalo linebacker IDP to own at this point in time, Brown is certainly worth watching for the long haul.

With Nigel Bradham suspended for a game, Brown is officially the starter at weak-side linebacker for Week 1 in Chicago, BuffaloBills.com reports.
This may be short-lived with Bradham returning for Week 2 following an excellent camp, but as we've been saying all along, keep an eye on Brown, the rookie third-rounder from Louisville. He might not be the worst option as a one-week IDP guy either, given the Bears' offensive propensity and the tackles that come with it.

Brown picked up the start at weak-side linebacker during Thursday's preseason finale against the Lions, BuffaloBills.com reports.
Starter Nigel Bradham is suspended for the Week 1 game at Chicago, so it sounds like pretty much a done deal the promising Brown will be starting in his place. It might be a short-lived assignment for Brown, as Bradham has had an excellent summer, but the team is really high on Brown and he's worth keeping an eye on as a future IDPer.
Thu Aug 21 201417:52While he doesn't have starting spot
While he doesn't have a starting spot, Brown, a third-round rookie out of Louisville, continues to make quite the impression in camp, BuffaloBills.com reports.
Brown might actually get to start the first week of the season, as starting OLB Nigel Bradham is suspended for one game, and Brown seems to be leading the list of potential candidates for the temporary starting nod. Keep an eye on him this season, as he's following a similar path to what Kiko Alonso did in 2013.

Brown's teammate Nigel Bradham has been suspended for one regular season game and Brown is now the favorite to get the start at weak-side linebacker in the opener Sept. 7 in Chicago, The Buffalo News reports.
Brown, a third-round rookie out of Lousiville, has done nothing to disappoint this summer. He's probably not that far behind Bradham already, so who knows what would happen if he shines in the first game?
Tue Jul 22 201422:08Preston Brown working as backup MLB
Bills third-round pick Preston Brown opened camp as the second-team middle linebacker behind Brandon Spikes.
A pre-camp report stated Brown would be in the hunt to replace WLB Kiko Alonso (ACL), but Mike 'backer is his natural position. He figures to take over there in 2015, when Spikes hit free agency. Nigel Bradham is getting the first crack at Alonso's weak-side job, with Keith Rivers stationed on the strong side.
