Carr completed 26-of-39 passes for 249 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's loss to Denver.
Carr couldn't seem to get much going on Sunday against the Broncos' stingy defense, as he threw just his third interception of the season. The second-year quarterback is completing 63.6 percent of his passes, and currently sits on eight touchdowns in five games. Carr is still considered a low-end QB1 and he should have a solid matchup against the Chargers in Week 6.

Carr completed 20-of-33 passes for 196 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's loss to Chicago.
Carr ranks in the upper half of quarterbacks after Week 14 with a 97.7 QB rating. Perhaps most impressively for the second-year quarterback, he's managed to take care of the ball, collecting seven touchdown tosses with just two interceptions. Carr struggled with a dearth of targets last season, but his growing rapport with first-round pick Amari Cooper could elevate him into a valuable pickup for bye weeks.

Carr completed 20-of-32 passes for 314 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's Week 3 matchup against the Browns.
Carr was outstanding for the second straight week in a Raiders' offense that recorded 469 yards of offense against the Browns. The second-year quarterback is off to a fast start after three weeks with 726 passing yards and six touchdowns. He's thrown just one interception so far and seems to have really matured after an impressive rookie year. The Raiders have a lot of weapons across the board and will likely spread it out and throw the ball a lot on a weekly basis. Carr should have a nice matchup in Week 4 against a leaky Bears' defense.

Carr (thumb) had one of the best games of his young career, tossing 351 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's wild 37-33 upset win over Baltimore. He threw an interception, and also ran for 23 yards on two carries.
It looked like Carr might not even play Sunday, after he injured his thumb in Week 1. After the Ravens hit a field goal to take a 33-30 lead with 2:10 remaining, Carr led hem on a game-winning drive, culminating in a 12-yard touchdown pass to Seth Roberts. Although Carr spread things around -- he completed at least one pass to 10 different players -- he did a great job hooking up with Michael Crabtree and rookie Amari Cooper, as they combined to catch 16 passes for 220 yards and two touchdowns. Assuming he didn't suffer any setbacks with his thumb, Carr will face the Browns in Cleveland next week.

Carr (thumb) is active for Sunday's game against the Ravens.
Following the regular season opener, Carr's journey to a definitive diagnosis eventually settled on a bruised thumb, which don't afflict his practice participation in advance of Week 2. With no Terrell Suggs (Achilles) on the other side, Carr will avoid one of the league's most fearsome pass rushers, but Baltimore's front seven remains relatively stout across the board, thereby curbing the QB's appeal.
Thu Sep 17 201517:20Carr practiced again Thursday and looked fine
Carr practiced again Thursday and looked fine, according to ESPN.com's Bill Williamson.
After practicing fully Wednesday, Carr declared himself ready to play Sunday against the Ravens, with the second-year QB on track to draw an official probable designation for Week 2's contest.
Wed Sep 16 201519:46Carr (thumb) practiced fully Wednesday
Carr (thumb) practiced fully Wednesday, Scott Bair of csnbayarea.com reports.
Bair also notes that Carr, who injured his thumb while using his throwing hand to stiff-arm an opponent this past Sunday, had zip on his passes Wednesday, with the QB clearly trending in the right direction with regard to Week 2 availability.
Tue Sep 15 201520:30Derek Carr: (Thumb) Now Looking Good for Week 2
Raiders coach Jack Del Rio said Tuesday that Carr (thumb) looks in "good shape" to practice and play in the Week 2 matchup against the Ravens, Alex Marvez of the FOXSports.com reports.
Initial reports Monday seemed to suggest pessimism regarding Carr's availability for Sunday's game, but the second-year quarterback apparently received good news about his condition after undergoing an MRI. The Raiders could still add a third quarterback this week as an insurance option, but if Carr is able to log a full practice by Friday, he should be locked into to start Week 2.
Mon Sep 14 201515:04Derek Carr: Bruised Thumb
Carr sustained a bruised thumb in Sunday's loss to the Bengals, NFL.com reports.
While it sounds like Carr avoided a long-term injury here, his Week 2 status is up in the air and depends largely on the swelling in his thumb going down in the coming days. If Carr is unable to play Sunday against the Ravens, Matt McGloin would be in line to start at QB for the Raiders this weekend, with free agent Christian Ponder thought to be on the team's radar as a potential depth option.
Mon Sep 14 201513:38Derek Carr: Iffy for Week 2
ESPN's Chris Mortensen suggests that Carr (hand) isn't expected to play in Week 2's contest against the Ravens.
Carr is slated to have an MRI on his hand Monday, after which such an outcome will either be solidified or deemed overly pessimistic. If Carr is forced to miss time, the Raiders would turn to fellow QB Matt McGloin this weekend, plus it's possible that Christian Ponder could rejoin the team after being waived during roster cut-downs.
Sun Sep 13 201520:51Derek Carr: (Hand) X-Rays Come Back Negative
Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio said X-rays on Carr's hand came back negative, Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Carr was removed from Sunday's 33-13 loss to the Bengals in the second quarter, finishing with seven completions for 61 yards on 12 pass attempts. He was replaced by Matt McGloin, who completed 23 of 31 passes for 142 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception. The negative X-rays suggest that Carr should have a chance to be ready for Sunday's game against the Ravens.

Carr exited Sunday's season-opener against the Bengals with a hand injury, Scott Bair of CSN Bay Area reports.
With Carr out of Sunday's game and questionable to return, the Raiders have turned to Matt McGloin at QB.

Carr completed 18 of 34 passes for 213 yards, with no touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's preseason game against the Cardinals.
Carr played deep into the third quarter and had his ups and downs, but he ended things in the worst way possible, throwing an ugly pick-six to Cardinals CB Cariel Brooks on his final snap of the night. Rookie wideout Amari Cooper also had a mixed night, but unlike Carr, the No. 3 overall draft pick finished on a high note. Carr's supporting cast should be vastly improved this season, as the Raiders also added Michael Crabtree and rookie TE Clive Walford, plus they'll have a healthy Latavius Murry to start the year. Carr should also have a decent offensive line, so there's no excuse if he doesn't improve significantly from his rookie season. The Raiders draw a home matchup with the Bengals in Week 1.

Carr completed 4-of-8 passes for 78 yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Vikings.
Carr only attempted a limited number of passes Saturday as he played into the second quarter, but he notably connected on a 40-yard deep ball to rookie wideout Amari Cooper, who was pushed out inside the 10-yard line. Carr's 2015 fantasy value should benefit from a strong working relationship with Cooper and he appears poised to build on a promising rookie season with a re-tooled arsenal of weapons at his disposal that also includes WR Michael Crabtree and RB Latavius Murray.

Carr completed 6-of-9 passes for 43 yards with an interception in the Raiders' preseason opener against the Rams on Friday.
More important than his stat line in his limited action in the Raiders' preseason opener is that Carr appears to be past a finger issue that slowed him earlier in the offseaso. The second-year QB thus approaches the coming season in good health, while working in a presumably improved offensive context, featuring a pair newcomers at wideout (Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree) and a backfield led by the bruising Latavius Murray.
Tue Jun 9 201514:42Carr (finger) throwing at Tuesday's practice
Carr (finger) is throwing at Tuesday's practice, Scott Bair of CSN Bay Area reports.
Carr was cleared to take part in minicamp Monday, and the fact that he's already throwing Tuesday is certainly a positive indication that the injury is a non-issue. The second-year quarterback likely is not 100 percent healthy yet, but he figures to be fine by the start of training camp.
Mon Jun 8 201513:42Derek Carr: (Finger) Cleared For Minicamp
Carr (finger) has been cleared for minicamp, and he should be 100 percent healthy by the start of training camp, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.
Carr increased his participation throughout OTAs, and he'll now take part in a three-day mandatory minicamp that starts Tuesday. With training camp still more than a month away, it appears his finger injury is becoming a non-issue. Carr will look to develop chemistry with his new targets, namely Amari Cooper, Michael Crabtree and Clive Walford. Cooper and Crabtree figure to start at wideout, while Walford is expected to push Mychal Rivera for the starting job at tight end.
Tue Jun 2 201515:44Derek Carr: (Finger) Increasing Activity Level
Carr (finger) is ramping up his activity level slowly but surely in OTAs, Scott Bair of CSN California reports.
Carr has been tending to an injury to his right ring finger in recent weeks, which has effectively held him out of throwing drills. On Tuesday, he was able to muster some throws on the side, which meets the thoughts of his agent, Tim Younger, who said last month that Carr would likely throw before the conclusion of OTAs this Thursday. Once mandatory minicamp kicks off next Tuesday, his activity level will shed light on his current level of health.
Thu May 21 201511:39Carr's agent
Carr's agent, Tim Younger, refutes reports suggesting that the quarterback may need surgery on his right ring finger, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. "I don't know where this idea came up that he's going to be having surgery," Younger noted. "The situation, I don't even want to call it an injury, is very minor, and we're just being cautious."
Younger relayed that Carr is "probably going to be throwing before the end" of the Raiders' offseason workouts, which end June 4. In any case, he expects the second-year signal-caller to be 100 percent for the team's mandatory minicamp, which begins on June 9. Since Carr's rookie season ended, the Raiders have made a point of adding viable pass-catching options to mix, signing Michael Crabtree as a free agenct and then drafting highly-promising receiver Amari Cooper fourth overall and subsequently selecting tight end Clive Walford in the third round.
Tue May 19 201518:08Carr dealing with injury to right ring finger
Carr is dealing with an injury to his right ring finger, which may require surgery, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports.
Carr sat out Tuesday's OTA's with what the team initially called an undisclosed injury, but it now appears to be something that could cause him to miss significant offseason time. If he undergoes surgery, Carr could sit out the rest of OTA's, but the team is reportedly optimistic that he'd be ready for the start of training camp. In Carr's absence Tuesday, Christian Ponder worked with the first-team offense.
