Mon Aug 31 201515:55Kevin Norwood: Traded to Panthers
Norwood was traded Monday to the Panthers, the National Football Post reports.
Norwood, who was injured most of last year, entered training camp with seemingly little competition for the last WR job, but he did next to nothing and was expected to be cut. The Seahawks found a suitor, though, in the Panthers, who need help at wideout after the season-ending injury to Kelvin Benjamin and a hamstring injury to rookie Devin Funchess.

Norwood saw his first action of the season Sunday, catching his lone target for four yards.
Norwood has dealt with a foot injury most of the year. With Percy Harvin traded, he could see more opportunities, but he's still low on the WR depth chart.

Norwood, who has been inactive all season, could work his way into the receiving rotation after the Seahawks traded Percy Harvin on Friday.
Paul Richardson and Ricardo Lockette figure to get the first opportunities, but Norwood likely will get a chance in the coming weeks as well.

Norwood returned to practice Monday after missing most of training camp with a foot injury, the Seattle Times reports.
Norwood doesn't figure to be active on gamedays too often this year. He hasn't practiced much and figures to have a steep learning curve as a rookie anyway.
Wed Aug 6 201414:43Norwood (foot) had bone spur removed from foot on Tuesday
Norwood (foot) had a bone spur removed from his foot on Tuesday, but still stands a chance of returning before the end of training camp, ESPN reports.
Norwood's injury is apparently more serious than initially thought, as he'll at least miss a couple weeks of preseason action. The rookie fourth-rounder was expected to battle for a final spot on Seattle's roster, which may hinder on how soon he can actually get back to the field.
Tue Aug 5 201410:13Norwood's foot injury more serious than anticipated
Norwood's foot injury is more serious than anticipated, and he is not expected to return soon, the Seattle Times reports.
Coach Pete Carroll said the team is waiting for more information on the injury. "We're going to take our time with him," Carroll said. "He's not going to come back right away. It's going to be a bit." Norwood was expected to win one of the last wideout spots. If the injury drags on long, he could wind up on IR.
Mon Jul 28 201411:40Kevin Norwood has looked 'sensational'
Fourth-round WR Kevin Norwood has reportedly looked "sensational" early in camp.
Norwood is buried on the depth chart, currently operating in the No. 5 or 6 spot. But it's unlikely the Seahawks will be able to get him through waivers and onto the practice squad, so they'll have to end up making room for him on the 53-man roster. If Norwood can show well on special teams, Ricardo Lockette may lose his job.
