Rodgers has some fantasy value as the top tight end in one of the league's best passing attacks, but it's unlikely he will receive enough targets to provide consistent production.

Although he still profiles as no better than the fourth or fifth option in the passing game, Rodgers could be a semi-frequent visitor to the end zone if he's getting consistent snaps in a high-powered offense.

Rodgers remains in line to compete with Andrew Quarless for the Packers' starting tight end job, NFL.com reports.

The report also relays that the Packers have no plans to release Quarless, after he was charged with misdemeanor discharging a firearm in public on July 4. In any case, whether Quarless ends up facing NFL discipline or not, Rodgers is a candidate to see an uptick in production in 2015, following the 20/225/2 stat line that he recorded as a rookie last season. As prolific as Green Bay's passing game is, the presence of talented wideouts Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb and Davante Adams limits Rodgers' target volume and upside to a degree, but it remains plausible that the second-year tight end could emerge on the fantasy radar this coming season with a break or two in his favor.

The Packers' season did not end on a high note, but Rodgers' did to some degree, as he caught 12 passes over the team's final four games (including the playoffs) after catching just 13 prior to that. He spent most of his rookie season as the Packers' backup tight end, but expect him to make a strong push for the starting job during the offseason.

Quarless tallied just 24 total receiving yards in the season's final three games, so Rodgers looks like the better option of the two for those in playoff leagues.
