Tuitt collected 10 tackles (all solo) including a sack in the Steelers' 23-20 overtime loss to Baltimore on Thursday.

The second year defensive end has now recorded three-and-a-half sacks in his past three games, garnering attention on deep IDP leagues. He'll look to add to his total in Week 5 on Monday night against a San Diego offensive line that has yielded 10 sacks in three games this season.

Tuitt finished his rookie season with 17 tackles including a sack.

Tuitt will start at defensive end in place of Brett Keisel (torn triceps) against Cincinnati on Sunday, according to Steelers.com. "I feel like he's had some positive improvements on the practice field over the course of this football season and really not a lot of opportunity to show it," said head coach Mike Tomlin. "The injury to Brett Keisel I think is going to provide a platform for (Tuitt) to display that improvement, and I look forward to him doing it."

Tuitt has totaled six tackles (two solo) in his first 12 NFL games and replaces Keisel, who recorded 17 tackles (eight solo) including one sack and an interception before being placed on IR. The Steelers need a big game from Tuitt and the rest of their defense, as they are currently in a three-way tie 1.5 games behind the Bengals, with two of their remaining four games against their division rival.

Tuitt will make his first NFL start against Houston on Monday night, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. "He has great raw material � tremendous size and tremendous athletic ability," defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau said. "He's going to be seeing more action because of necessity, but he's going to be a good player."

The rookie will replace Cam Thomas at defensive end, with Thomas shifting to nose tackle for an injured Steve McLendon (shoulder). Tuitt has played just 67 defensive snaps this season, recording just two tackles.

An ideal fit at end in the 3-4 scheme, Tuitt's power and long arms will help occupy blockers and free up teammates to make plays. There are now just seven unsigned rookies left in the entire league.
