Linkenbach has signed a deal with the Dolphins, the Palm Beach Post reports. | ||||||
The veteran lineman adds some much-needed depth and versatility to the Dolphin's offensive line. Linkenbach started three games last year for the Chiefs at left guard and in 2011 started all 16 games for the Colts at right tackle. While Linkenbach could see snaps at either left guard or tackle, it is believed that he will be competing for the Dolphins' left guard spot against the current starter Dallas Thomas this offseason. | ||||||

Linkenbach, 26 in July, made eight starts in 2012, four at left guard and four at right tackle. After he struggled mightily as both a pass and run blocker, it was surprising the Colts gave Linkenbach a restricted tender at all. The Colts will bring back 6-foot-6, 311-pound Linkenbach as a swing backup. | ||||||
