Tue Aug 25 201518:15Evan Mathis: Signs With Denver
Mathis signed a one-year contract with the Broncos on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
With tackle Ryan Clady out for the season due to a torn ACL, the addition of Mathis will presumably shore up deficiencies along the offensive front. Mathis will likely take over at left guard.

Mathis, who was released by the Eagles last week, has received interest from "at least half a dozen" teams interested in signing him, the Miami Herald reports.
Mathis, one of the NFL's top rated offensive guards over the past few seasons, was let go by Philadelphia last week amid a contract dispute that caused him to sit out the Eagles' entire offseason program. Now a free agent, Mathis has garnered interest from numerous teams and is reportedly expected to weigh the opportunity of winning and the likelihood of securing an agreeable contract in his eventual destination decision.
Thu Jun 11 201516:12Mathis released by Eagles on Thursday
Mathis was released by the Eagles on Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
After sitting out the Eagles' entire offseason program to date, the 10-year veteran guard can sign with any other organization immediately. However, Mathis will likely weigh all options before making the final call.

Mathis (knee) was activated from the Eagles' injured reserve/designated-to-return list Wednesday, Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News reports.
As expected, Mathis will return from a seven-game absence to make the start at left guard Monday against the Panthers. Todd Herremans (ankle/foot) was placed on IR to clear a spot for Mathis on the 53-man roster.
Tue Nov 4 201421:16Mathis will be back in lineup Monday against Panthers
Mathis will be back in the lineup Monday against the Panthers, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.
The Pro Bowl guard's return will be a welcome one for an Eagles team that figures to rely more heavily on the run with Nick Foles (clavicle) out for an extended period. Mathis has been sidelined since suffering a knee injury in the Sept. 7 regular-season opener.

Mathis (knee) will undergo an MRI on Monday to help determine the severity of his injury, FOX Sports reports.
Mathis was carted off during the first half of Sunday's regular season opener and missed the remainder of the game with a knee injury. At the moment, the Eagles' hope is that Mathis sustained just an MCL sprain, not a more serious injury with a longer recovery time. With the All-Pro offensive guard's status currently hanging in limbo, expect more definitive news regarding his future availability to come following Monday's MRI test.

Mathis suffered a left leg injury during Sunday's game against the Jaguars, The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Mathis' left leg got tangled in the trenches during the first-half of Sunday's game and required the All-Pro guard to be carted to the Eagles' locker room. At the moment, Mathis' status moving forward has yet to be updated, but having him out of the lineup is a significant concern for Philadelphia.

Wed Jul 2 201411:47Evan Mathis holdout still in play?
The Philadelphia Daily News wouldn't be shocked if LG Evan Mathis is a no-show when training camp opens.
It's a surprising take considering Mathis was present for both voluntary and mandatory workouts this offseason. It sounds like reporter Paul Domowitch is basing his skepticism on the history of agent Drew Rosenhaus. Mathis did ask for a new contract before the draft, but has little leverage as a 33-year-old player in the third year of a five-year, $25 million deal.

Thu Apr 24 201417:53Evan Mathis downplays contract situation
Speaking Thursday, Eagles LG Evan Mathis said his contract situation won't be a distraction this season.
"I'm here," Mathis said from voluntary workouts. "I'm not holding out. ... If I did ask for a new contract, I'm not going to tell (the media) I want a new contract." Mathis reportedly asked for a raise prior to the Combine, but sounds like he's mentally moved on from the idea. Going on 33 and signed through 2016, Mathis will make $5 million this season.

Wed Apr 2 201408:52McLane: Evan Mathis likely going nowhere
The Philadelphia Inquirer expects LG Evan Mathis to remain with the Eagles for this season.
Beat writer Jeff McLane thinks "that was much ado about nothing." Mathis wanted a raise and the Eagles responded by suggesting a trade, but there have been no whispers of anyone wanted to surrender a third-round pick for a 32-year-old. Given the public relations hit the Eagles are taking from fans on DeSean Jackson right now, it's hard to see them letting their All-Pro guard walk.

Mon Mar 31 201409:01Dolphins a potential fit for Evan Mathis?
The Miami Herald considers the Dolphins a potential fit for Evan Mathis.
The Eagles have placed Mathis on the trade block after the All-Pro guard asked for a raise prior to the Combine. The Dolphins are a logical "connect the dots" kind of candidate because they have a desperate need at guard and former Eagles assistant Bill Lazor is now the offensive coordinator in Miami. The Herald is uncertain of the Dolphins' level of interest in Mathis, who will turn 33 in November.

Wed Mar 26 201406:56Eagles place All-Pro LG Mathis on trade block
The Eagles have placed LG Evan Mathis on the trade block.
The story has been reported by both NFL Network and the Philly Inquirer. Both outlets report Mathis wants a raise on his scheduled $5 million salary. Mathis was a first-team All-Pro selection in 2013 and has been one of the best guards in football the past three seasons. Mathis saw LT Jason Peters and C Jason Kelce gets extensions earlier this offseason, and apparently felt snubbed when his contract wasn't addressed. Mathis is entering his age-33 season.

Wed May 8 201308:58Evan Mathis calls cleanout a 'good thing'
Eagles LG Evan Mathis called his ankle surgery "a good thing."
Mathis will miss the rest of the spring workouts, but expects to be fine for training camp. The surgery was just a cleanout. Mathis missed just one game over the last two seasons and graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 1 guard in 2012.

Mon May 6 201316:39Eagles lose LG Evan Mathis to ankle surgery
Eagles LG Evan Mathis is likely out until training camp after undergoing ankle surgery.
The surgery is described as "minor," and was done to address "swelling and discomfort" in Mathis' ankle. Former first-round bust Danny Watkins is expected to see first-team reps at OTAs opposite RG Todd Herremans. Injuries sapped the life from the Eagles' offensive line last season, with Mathis as the lone healthy member. They'll hope he returns 100 percent for the start of camp.

Wed Feb 20 201309:49Evan Mathis the Eagles' MVP in 2012
Beat writer Rueben Frank calls LG Evan Mathis the Eagles' offensive MVP from 2012.
Mathis turned out to be one of the few free-agent signings the Eagles have gotten right recently. Re-signed to a five-year, $25 million deal last March, he started every game in 2012 and graded out as the best guard in the NFL. Mathis is a lock to get his $1 million roster bonus on March 24.

Wed Jan 9 201317:48Evan Mathis may avoid surgery
Eagles LG Evan Mathis may no longer require offseason ankle surgery.
Mathis was expected to have bone chips removed in a routine procedure, but has decided to wait a little longer before deciding. Mathis graded out as the best guard in the league by a wide margin in Pro Football Focus' ratings.

Mon Dec 31 201213:07Evan Mathis needs offseason ankle surgery
Eagles LG Evan Mathis will require offseason ankle surgery.
The routine surgery will remove bone chips from Mathis' ankle, and is considered "nothing serious." Mathis, the Eagles' lone starting offensive lineman who stayed remotely healthy in 2012, wound up grading out as a top-three guard by Pro Football Focus. Mathis' left guard job will be very safe in 2013 on a $2 million salary. He'll also collect a $1 million roster bonus.
