Mathis signed a one-year contract with the Broncos on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

With tackle Ryan Clady out for the season due to a torn ACL, the addition of Mathis will presumably shore up deficiencies along the offensive front. Mathis will likely take over at left guard.

Mathis, who was released by the Eagles last week, has received interest from "at least half a dozen" teams interested in signing him, the Miami Herald reports.

Mathis, one of the NFL's top rated offensive guards over the past few seasons, was let go by Philadelphia last week amid a contract dispute that caused him to sit out the Eagles' entire offseason program. Now a free agent, Mathis has garnered interest from numerous teams and is reportedly expected to weigh the opportunity of winning and the likelihood of securing an agreeable contract in his eventual destination decision.

Mathis was released by the Eagles on Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

After sitting out the Eagles' entire offseason program to date, the 10-year veteran guard can sign with any other organization immediately. However, Mathis will likely weigh all options before making the final call.

Mathis (knee) was activated from the Eagles' injured reserve/designated-to-return list Wednesday, Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News reports.

As expected, Mathis will return from a seven-game absence to make the start at left guard Monday against the Panthers. Todd Herremans (ankle/foot) was placed on IR to clear a spot for Mathis on the 53-man roster.
