Free agent OG Garrett Reynolds visited with the Cowboys.
Reynolds, 26, was released by Atlanta in February. The Cowboys are his first visit since meeting with the Titans before the draft. Reynolds started 10 games last season, but was ineffective as both a pass and run blocker. In Dallas, he would provide veteran depth behind Ronald Leary and rookie Zack Martin.

Tue Feb 18 201417:20Falcons cut RG Reynolds, save $1.39 million
Falcons released RG Garrett Reynolds.
The move creates roughly $1.39 million in real savings, and $965,000 in cap space. Re-signed to a two-year, $2.613 million deal last March, Reynolds played 696 uneven snaps, struggling as a run blocker. He started 10 games before being benched in Week 12. Reynolds has made 42 career appearances, all with the Falcons. He'll likely be limited to minimum offers in the second wave of free agency, though he's now free to sign with any team.

Sat Feb 1 201413:25Falcons expected to release RG Reynolds
The Falcons are expected to release RG Garrett Reynolds.
The move would save $1.33 million in cap space. Signed to a two-year deal in March, Reynolds appeared in 10 games before losing his starting job in Week 12. He graded out as the No. 31 guard by Pro Football Focus and will likely have to settle for a veteran-minimum contract this offseason.

Sat Apr 6 201322:28Garrett Reynolds to see time at right tackle
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution expects Garrett Reynolds to compete for the Falcons' right tackle job.
Lamar Holmes and Mike Johnson are the in-house favorites to replace Tyson Clabo, but Reynolds will be in the mix after the Falcons re-signed him to a two-year deal. Ideally, Reynolds will open next season in a swing role while providing quality depth. He missed the final nine games of 2012 due to injury.

Sat Mar 9 201317:23Falcons re-up RG Garrett Reynolds
Falcons re-signed OG Garrett Reynolds to a two-year contract.
Reynolds started six games at right guard last season before an ailing back landed him on injured reserve in November. The four-year veteran should be in the mix to start in 2013, but will almost certainly face competition. He's played just 922 snaps over the past two seasons.

Tue Nov 6 201216:24Falcons lose RG Reynolds for the season
Falcons placed RG Garrett Reynolds (back) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Phillip Manley was promoted from the practice squad to take Reynold's roster spot while No. 55 overall pick Peter Konz moves into the starting lineup. Pro Football Focus graded Reynolds as a league-average starter in the first half of the season. A 2009 fifth-round pick, Reynolds is a free agent in 2013.

Tue Sep 4 201218:19Garrett Reynolds tops depth chart at RG
Garrett Reynolds will enter the season as the Falcons' starting right guard.
Reynolds' name is likely written in pencil, however. The Falcons have been hesitant to declare a winner at right guard, and rookie Peter Konz could still displace Reynolds early in the season.

Sun Jul 29 201219:52Garrett Reynolds favorite to start at RG
Falcons coach Mike Smith considers Garrett Reynolds the favorite to start at right guard at this point in the summer.
Reynolds was tossed around like a rag doll in pass protection and especially run blocking a season ago, and lost the right guard job to Joe Hawley in early November. The Falcons believe Reynolds will improve, but rookie Peter Konz should give him a run for his money in August. Konz was the 55th overall pick.

Sun Nov 6 201122:08Falcons bench Reynolds for Hawley at guard
The Falcons benched RG Garrett Reynolds in favor of Joe Hawley for Sunday's game against Indianapolis.
It doesn't appear to be a temporary benching after a terrible first half of the season from Reynolds. "It was something that we determined that we needed to do," coach Mike Smith said. "I think that it paid off for us." Reynolds has been reduced to a jumbo tight end in power formations. Hawley had struggled earlier in the season at center, but it was time for a change.

Mon Sep 5 201115:19Falcons name Garrett Reynolds a starter
The Falcons have named Garrett Reynolds their Week 1 starter at right guard.
He's replacing Harvey Dahl, who left for more money in St. Louis. Reynolds is a similar player to Dahl, and Atlanta didn't seem to experience much preseason drop-off by averaging 4.56 yards per carry to rank fifth in the NFL. Reynolds and C Joe Hawley are the Falcons' new starters on the offensive line.

Mon Aug 8 201115:03Reynolds projected as Falcons right guard
Garrett Reynolds is currently projected as the Falcons' starting right guard to open the season.
Mike Johnson was in the mix, but a concussion in camp will hurt his chances. A right tackle at North Carolina, Reynolds is regarded as a nasty run blocker in the same vein as predecessor Harvey Dahl. With four starters back on the line, the Falcons' front five should remain one of the team's areas of strength.

Thu Jun 30 201110:57Garrett Reynolds favorite to replace Clabo
Garrett Reynolds is considered the favorite to start at right tackle for the Falcons if Tyson Clabo leaves in free agency.
Clabo is going to command top-notch right tackle cash, so the smart money is on him departing. Reynolds goes 6-foot-7, 317 and is known as a nasty run blocker, despite having played just 24 career snaps so far. He shouldn't struggle to beat out Jose Valdez or journeyman Will Svitek in training camp.

Wed Jun 22 201109:10Falcons face upheaval on offensive line
Garrett Reynolds is expected to get a shot at right tackle if Tyson Clabo exits via free agency.
Untested Jose Valdez and swing tackle Will Svitek will be in the mix as well. In addition to Clabo, starting guards Justin Blalock and Harvey Dahl are also set to test the market. Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff insists there's been a plan in place to restructure the offensive line, but it's an area of concern for a team that considers itself a legit contender.
