Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports that Shawn Riggans worked out for the Orioles this week in Sarasota.
The 33-year-old backstop hasn't appeared in the major leagues since he was a member of the Rays during the 2009 season, and hasn't played minor league ball since 2011. While the O's were simply kicking the tires, he's unlikely to return.

Shawn Riggans hasn't reported to Brewers camp yet because he is battling pneumonia.
Riggans will probably be limited in camp once he shows up so that he can rebuild whatever strength he lost to the illness. But he is ticketed for Triple-A Nashville anyway and probably won't climb his way to the major leagues unless there's an injury at the big league level.
