Single-A Bakersfield's Engel Beltre went 4-for-5 with a homer, a triple and five RBI on Friday.

Beltre, the outfield prospect the Rangers got from the Red Sox in the Eric Gagne deal, was a big disappointment last year, hitting .227/.281/.317 in 357 at-bats in the California League. He's just 20, though, and he has plenty of tools. He does need to show more power this year, since he's probably never going to be a big on-base guy.
