Sat Sep 716:20Victor Robles Sitting Out On Saturday
Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles (elbow) is not in Saturday's lineup as the Mariners continue a three-game set against the St. Louis Cardinals. Robles was removed early from Friday's game after being hit by a pitch in his elbow and will need at least one more day to rest. Fantasy managers should consider the 27-year-old day-to-day for the time being. As a result, Mitch Haniger will cover right field and bat in the eight-hole. Haniger is in the midst of a rough 3-for-20 slump across his past seven games and should be left out of your DFS lineup as he will face St. Louis right-hander Kyle Gibson.

Sat Sep 712:25Victor Robles "Should Be Fine" After Leaving Early On Friday
Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles (elbow) was pulled in the eighth inning on Friday night against the St. Louis Cardinals after being hit by a pitch on his left elbow pad in the fifth inning. However, Robles' exit was more precautionary, and he "should be fine" for the second game of the series on Saturday, according to interim manager Dan Wilson. Before leaving the eventual 6-1 win at Busch Stadium, Robles was 0-for-3 with a run scored and a strikeout out of the leadoff spot. He was replaced in right field by Mitch Haniger. The 27-year-old Dominican is likely to be back in the lineup on Saturday, but fantasy managers will want to double check first. Robles has been a new player since being traded to Seattle and has earned regular playing time by hitting .307 (54-for-176) with four homers, 19 RBI and 19 stolen bases in his 61 games played.

Tue Aug 2718:20Victor Robles Returns To The Lineup
Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles (finger) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Tuesday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Robles is back in the mix after missing a pair of games due to a right finger contusion he suffered over the weekend. He'll bat in the leadoff spot and cover right field against left-hander Jeffrey Springs on Tuesday. Robles has been a nice surprise for Seattle this season, but is hitting .226 with zero home runs and three RBI against left-handed pitching this season. Fantasy managers looking for DFS help should look elsewhere for help.

Mon Aug 2618:54Victor Robles Remains Out On Monday
Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles (finger) remains out of the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. The speedy outfielder will miss his second game in a row due to a bruised right finger. He suffered the injury during Saturday's game, but will hopefully only need a few days off to recover. In the meantime, Dominic Canzone will start in right field and bat eighth versus right-hander Ryan Pepiot on Monday. Canzone doesn't offer much upside with the bat outside of some occasional pop. Fantasy managers should check back for another update on Robles. He has come alive at the plate in Seattle with 40 hits in 51 games with the team.

Sun Aug 2508:38Victor Robles Diagnosed With Right Index-Finger Contusion
Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles (finger) took a fastball off the right hand after squaring to bunt during Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Giants. It initially looked bad, with Robles in a lot of pain. However, X-rays were taken that came back negative, meaning the Dominican is dealing with a right index-finger contusion. The 27-year-old is considered day-to-day for now. Robles had been enjoying somewhat of a renaissance in Seattle after several underwhelming seasons in Washington, slashing .280/.340/.413 with 13 extra-base hits and 14 steals in just 51 games for the Mariners, so hopefully he can return soon.

Fri Aug 2318:30Victor Robles Remains Out On Friday
Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles (hip) remains absent from the starting lineup ahead of Friday's game against the San Francisco Giants. Robles continues to sit out after exiting early from Tuesday's contest. The 27-year-old crashed into the center field wall and was forced to exit that contest. The organization continues to consider Robles as day-to-day, so hopefully he'll be able to avoid a trip to the injured list. He has been on fire with the bat since joining the Mariners roster. Robles is hitting .280 with three home runs and 11 RBI in 50 games with Seattle. Dominic Canzone will cover right field and bat seventh versus right-hander Hayden Birdsong on Friday. Fantasy managers can avoid Canzone who is struggling to the tune of a .201 batting average with eight long balls this season.

Wed Aug 2119:49Victor Robles Out With Hip Issue
Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles (hip) is absent from Wednesday's lineup due to a hip issue as the M's look to avoid a three-game sweep at the hands of the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. We'll consider Robles to be day-to-day for now until we know more about the severity of his hip injury. With Julio Rodriguez (ankle) still serving as the designated hitter, Luke Raley will start in center field and hit leadoff on Wednesday against Dodgers right-hander Jack Flaherty. If Robles' hip injury isn't all that serious, he could be back for Friday's series opener at home against the San Francisco Giants after having an additional day off on Thursday. The 27-year-old Dominican has been rejuvenated by a change of scenery since being traded to Seattle, hitting .280 (40-for-143) with three homers, 11 RBI and 14 steals in 50 games while also taking over center field duties since J-Rod's ankle injury. Rodriguez is expected to return to CF soon, though, which could make it more difficult for Robles to crack the lineup.

Mon Aug 1218:34Victor Robles Signs Two-Year Extension
Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles has signed a two-year extension with the organization. The 27-year-old gets a $9.75 million extension with a $9 million option for the 2027 season. What a turnaround for Robles who was cut by the Washington Nationals earlier in the season. He's slashing .303/.372/.450 in 42 contests since joining the Mariners. Robles has always been a solid defender, but his bat has been holding him back. Hopefully Robles has finally put it all together.

Thu Aug 819:20Victor Robles Remains In Leadoff Spot For Mariners
Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles is starting in center field and will hit out of the leadoff spot again on Thursday night against the visiting Detroit Tigers. Not only has the move from the Washington Nationals all the way across the country to Seattle reinvigorated Robles, but he's been the team's leadoff hitter the last 11 games with Julio Rodriguez (ankle) currently on the 10-day injured list. The 27-year-old Dominican has looked like a different player in the Pacific Northwest through 38 games, slashing .333/.398/.495 with an .893 OPS, three home runs, six RBI, 10 stolen bases and 12 runs scored in 105 trips to the plate. Robles' playing time won't be as consistent whenever J-Rod returns from his ankle injury, but fantasy managers in deeper leagues need to continue riving the wave with Robles until that actually happens.

Fri Aug 218:55Victor Robles Back In The Lineup
Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles (hip) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Friday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies. Robles has been out of the lineup since he was forced to exit early on Tuesday due to a hip issue. Luckily, it sounds like Robles is good to go after a few days off to rest. He'll bat leadoff and play center field versus right-hander Tyler Phillips on Friday. Fantasy managers can get him back in the lineup on Friday.

Wed Jul 3116:02Victor Robles Out On Wednesday
Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles (hip) is out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's series finale at Fenway Park against the Boston Red Sox. Luke Raley will take his place in center field and will bat sixth for the M's against Red Sox right-hander Brayan Bello. Third baseman Josh Rojas will man the leadoff spot. Robles left Tuesday's contest against Boston early with a hip injury, but manager Scott Servais said it will only cost Robles one game. The 27-year-old should be back in action in center field for Seattle for Friday's series opener against the Philadelphia Phillies after Thursday's scheduled off day. Robles is seeing regular action in center field with Julio Rodriguez (ankle) on the injured list and he's taken advantage by going 27-for-75 (.360) with two homers, six doubles, five RBI and nine stolen bases in his first 33 games with the club.

Mon Jun 314:58Victor Robles Signing With The Mariners
The Seattle Mariners are set to sign outfielder Victor Robles after he was designated for assignment by the Washington Nationals over the weekend, according to Adam Jude of the Seattle Times. Robles is expected to join the Mariners on Tuesday before the team's three-game series against the Oakland A's kicks off. The 27-year-old struggled mightily at the plate for the Nationals this year, hitting just .120 with two RBI and four stolen bases. However, Seattle will take a chance on a player who was a top-five prospect in baseball just a few years ago. Right now, Robles isn't worth a waiver wire add in fantasy, but maybe a change of scenery could help him reach his potential.

Sat Jun 115:24Victor Robles Released By Nationals
The Washington Nationals have released outfielder Victor Robles on Saturday as the former top prospect continues to struggle at the plate. After several seasons of lackluster offensive output, Robles hit .299 alongside a .749 OPS across 36 games in the 2023 season but back issues put a strong halt on his campaign. Robles also showcased his power/speed potential with 17 homers and 28 stolen bases back in the 2019 season but failed to build on that potential. Still just 27 years old, Robles hit just .120 without a homer across 14 games and 33 plate appearances in the 2024 season while an ankle injury suffered in early April hasn't helped his cause. Considering his highly-regarded defense in center field and solid base-running skills, it's likely a club will take a chance on Robles as a low-risk flier.

Mon May 2716:08Victor Robles Designated For Assignment
The Washington Nationals designated outfielder Victor Robles for assignment on Monday in order to make room on the active roster for outfielder Lane Thomas (knee), who has been reinstated from the injured list. It appears the Nationals have finally run out of patience with Robles, who was once one of their prized prospects from the Dominican Republic. Outside of his 17-homer, 28-steal season in 2019, Robles has fell well short of expectations in the organization and has hit just .236/.311/.356 with 31 home runs, 156 RBI, 70 stolen bases and 213 runs scored in his eight years in the league. Before getting cut on Monday, he was hitting just .120 (3-for-25) with no homers, two RBI and four steals in 33 plate appearances this year. It remains to be seen if the 27-year-old will change scenery or stick with the Nats in the minors.

Fri May 2412:10Victor Robles, Joey Meneses In Danger Of Losing Roster Spot
With Washington Nationals outfielder Lane Thomas' (knee) return on the horizon, both outfielder Victor Robles and first baseman/designated hitter Joey Meneses are in danger of losing their roster spot. Robles, 27, looked good in spring training, only to get hurt less than a week into the regular season. He hasn't played much since rejoining the team and has gone just 2-for-23 with five walks and nine strikeouts. Robles has been in a decline since 2019 and the Nats may finally give up on him and designated him for assignment (since he's out of minor-league options). The other option would be to send Meneses to the minors. Meneses did homer on Wednesday, but he's slashing just .234/.299/.299 while hitting in the heart of Washington's batting order.

Tue May 719:28Victor Robles Returns From Injured List
The Washington Nationals reinstated outfielder Victor Robles (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday and optioned outfielder Alex Call to Triple-A Rochester in a corresponding move. Robles will return to the big leagues after missing more than a month due to a strained left hamstring. The 26-year-old went 7-for-20 with a stolen base in six minor-league rehab games with Triple-A Rochester, but he was not immediately back in the big-league lineup for the Nats on Tuesday against the Baltimore Orioles. The Dominican speedster has been a disappointment in his seven years in D.C., so regular playing time will not be guaranteed now that he's back, especially since Jacob Young has played well in his absence.

Tue Apr 2312:10Victor Robles Making Progress
Washington Nationals outfielder Victor Robles (hamstring) will travel with the team as he continues to rehab a left-hamstring strain, which he suffered running from first to third base on April 3. Robles is throwing and hitting without pain and has regained full range of motion. Manager Dave Martinez hopes he will begin running drills soon. Robles had returned to full health during spring training after back spasms limited him to 36 games in 2023. It's good news that the 26-year-old is making progress, but when he's ready to rejoin the big-league roster, he's probably going to need to produce to continue playing regularly, especially given the fact that Washington has several big-name prospects that are itching to make their major-league debuts. Jacob Young has been serving as Washington's center fielder with Robles out and has gone 11-for-42 (.262) with no homers, two RBI and six steals in 15 games.

Thu Apr 412:05Victor Robles Heads To Injured List
The Washington Nationals are placing outfielder Victor Robles (hamstring) on the injured list on Thursday after he left Wednesday night's win over the Pittsburgh Pirates with a left-hamstring injury. Outfield prospect Jacob Young is being called up from Triple-A Rochester in a corresponding move. It's unclear exactly how severe Robles' hamstring injury is, but it will keep him away for at least 10 days. Meanwhile, Young is likely to serve on the short side of a platoon in Washington's outfield with the left-handed-hitting Eddie Rosario. The 24-year-old has speed to spare and is worth a look in deep-mixed and NL-only leagues if you need more stolen bases. Robles, 26, is still looking for his first hit of 2024 after going 0-for-2 with two stolen bases and three walks in his first four games.

Mon Apr 114:47Victor Robles Re-Enters Starting Lineup Monday
Washington Nationals outfielder Victor Robles is back in the starting lineup on Monday and will take on the Pittsburgh Pirates and left-hander Marco Gonzales. Robles didn't start Monday's 6-5 loss to the Cincinnati Reds but did enter the game as a defensive replacement late. He will hit ninth and man center field on Monday. The 26-year-old was limited to just 36 games due to a back injury in the 2023 season but hit a resurgent .299 with eight stolen bases. Although he didn't homer in his 126 plate appearances he increased his walk rate to 8.7% and struck out in just 14.3% of his trips to the plate. His lack of power and lengthy history of subpar production at the plate leaves him off the fantasy radar in the 2024 season.

Sat Mar 920:09Victor Robles Dealing With Hamstring Tightness
Washington Nationals center fielderVictor Robles(hamstring) went 0-2 in Saturday's game against the Houston Astros before being removed from the lineup with hamstring tightness. "It kind of tightened up on him a little bit, so I didn't want to risk it," Nationals manager Dave Martinez said. He was hit by a pitch on Wednesday and has been dealing with a knot ever since. The 26-year-old is considered day-to-day. Robles' 2023 season marked improvements at the plate, slashing .299/.385/.364 with a .341 wOBA across 126 plate appearances. Robles was limited to 36 games last season due to lumbar spine spasms. He will compete withJacob Youngfor the center field job and will likely not be a viable fantasy option (NFBC ADP 677.9) outside of NL-Only League formats.
