Tue Aug 600:47Tyler Fitzgerald Homers In Second Consecutive Game Monday
San Francisco Giants shortstop/outfielder Tyler Fitzgerald continued to provide plenty of power in Monday's 4-1 win over the Nationals. Fitzgerald went 2-for-4 with a single and a leadoff homer. The 26-year-old got things started for the Giants, jumping on a Patrick Corbin fastball and depositing it in the left-field seats for his 12th long ball of the season. Fitzgerald had an impressive HR streak in July and has now homered in back-to-back games and three of his last four. He is now slashing .314/.373/.650 with 29 runs scored, 24 RBI, and seven stolen bases in just 153 plate appearances. It seems unlikely that he will sustain this rate of high offensive production, but Fitzgerald is providing elite fantasy output right now.

Sun Aug 416:42Tyler Fitzgerald Hits 11th Homer For Giants on Sunday
San Francisco Giants shortstop Tyler Fitzgerald connected for his 11th homer of the season on Sunday against the Cincinnati Reds. The shortstop continued his torrid stretch with his second homer in August after hitting eight homers in July. The 26-year-old has 11 homers and 23 RBIs to go with a .309 batting average in 136 at-bats for the Giants this season. He has also shown off some speed with seven stolen bases. Fitzgerald should have been scooped up off the waiver wire recently in most leagues, but if he hasn't yet, he makes for an excellent addition.

Sat Aug 308:54Tyler Fitzgerald Homers, Drives In Two Friday
San Francisco Giants shortstop Tyler Fitzgerald went 3-for-5 with a double and a home run in Friday's 3-0 win over the Reds. After a torrid 11-game hit streak in which he blasted eight home runs, the 26-year-old cooled a bit by going hitless in his next two, but Friday he was back at it with a big day at the plate, also driving in two runs and scoring once. In his limited action, he's put up some phenomenal numbers. The former fourth-round draft pick now owns a .313-10-21-26-7 line with a .424 wOBA and 181 wRC+ over 140 PA. He's still available in almost 30% of Yahoo leagues and is currently eligible at SS and OF with 1B and 2B possibly added in the near future, as he's nearing those thresholds for addition, which makes him all the more appealing. He should be owned in all leagues at this point.

Sat Jul 2708:30Tyler Fitzgerald Continues Power Surge With Two Long Balls On Friday
San Francisco Giants outfielder Tyler Fitzgerald continued his incredible run by going 3-for-5 in the batter's box on Friday with two round-trippers and four RBI. These were his sixth and seventh home runs in his past eight games. This performance also extended his extra-base hitting streak to eight games. Since being recalled to the major league roster on June 28, the 26-year-old has provided a significant boost to the San Francisco lineup. The Louisville product has clearly earned a regular spot in the starting nine going forward, given his recent play, and will be a popular waiver-wire target this weekend.

Wed Jul 2406:49Tyler Fitzgerald Homers In Fifth Straight Game
San Francisco Giants shortstop Tyler Fitzgerald continued his homer streak in a 5-2 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday. Fitzgerald went 3-for-3 with a homer and two RBI but it wasn't enough as the Giants lost to their division rivals. On the bright side, the rookie infielder set a Giants rookie record, becoming the first San Francisco rookie to homer in five straight games. The last Giants player overall to homer in five straight games was Barry Bonds back in 2004. Fitzgerald is now hitting .322 with six homers, 18 runs, 13 RBI, and seven stolen bases across 90 at-bats this year. If Fitzgerald is able to homer in a sixth consecutive game, it would set a new MLB record. He will look to accomplish the feat on Wednesday against Dodgers starter Tyler Glasnow.

Sun Jul 2121:40Tyler Fitzgerald Homers In Third Straight Game
San Francisco Giants infielder Tyler Fitzgerald has been showing off his pop at the plate over the last few games. On Sunday, Fitzgerald continued his hot stretch with a solo home run in the third inning. It marked the third straight game that Fitzgerald has hit a ball over the wall. Before this, Fitzgerald was mainly only playing against left-handed pitchers since his call-up last month. Possibly, the Giants give him more playing time with him showing an ability to hit right-handed pitching as well.
