OF Keon Broxton moved into the Brewers' leadoff spot Sunday afternoon, replacing slumping 2B Jonathan Vilar. Broxton is batting .318 (27-for-85) this month with five doubles, two triples -- including one Sunday - four home runs and 11 RBIs.

LHP David Holmberg (0-0, 0.87 ERA) will start Monday's series opener against the Red Sox. He has struck out six and walked two in eight relief appearances. He is 3-6 with a 5.47 ERA in 22 career major league appearances, including 12 starts. At Charlotte, he was 3-0 with a 1.76 ERA in six appearances, including one start.

DH Matt Davidson hit his 10th home run Sunday. He is tied with 1B Jose Abreu for the team lead. Davidson is batting .269.

RF Willy Garcia hit his first career triple Sunday against the Tigers. He is batting .244.

RHP David Robertson recorded two outs Sunday against Detroit for his seventh save in eight chances. It was his fourth consecutive scoreless outing. His ERA is 2.41.

RHP Jordan Zimmermann (4-4, 6.47 ERA) allowed a season-high seven runs and eight hits, struck out three and walked one in five innings Sunday. He gave up three home runs to bring his season total to 16. He threw a season-low 79 pitches.

RHP Arcenio Leon threw a 1-2-3 eighth inning with a strikeout in his major league debut Sunday against the White Sox. The Tigers purchased his contract from Triple-A Toledo on Saturday.

2B Andrew Romine ended White Sox RHP Miguel Gonzalez's perfect-game bid with a leadoff single in the seventh on Sunday. He also had an RBI triple. He is batting .238.

RHP Buck Farmer was returned to Triple-A Toledo after he was the 26th man in Saturday's doubleheader. Farmer struck out a career-high 11 in 6 1/3 scoreless innings Saturday against the White Sox for his first major league victory.

OF Alex Presley had his contract purchased from Triple-A Toledo on Sunday. He hit .213 with two home runs in 40 games with Toledo. He started in center field Sunday against the White Sox and had an RBI double.

OF Tyler Collins was designated for assignment to make room for OF Alex Presley from Triple-A Toledo before Sunday's game against the White Sox. Collins hit .200 with 46 strikeouts in 146 plate appearances.

CF Dexter Fowler went 3-for-5 Sunday. It was his third three-hit game of the season and first since April 27 in the second game of the doubleheader against Toronto. Fowler went 6-for-12 with two doubles and two runs scored in the series, raising his average to .228.

2B Kolten Wong (left elbow stiffness) was placed on the 10-day disabled retroactive to Saturday. He was in the lineup Saturday but was scratched just prior to the start of the game after taking one swing in the indoor batting cage right before the game. "I came running up to the trainer to try and loosen it up, and it just wouldn't," Wong said. "It's still tight today. It literally feels like something's holding my elbow from straightening out. It's been affecting my swing, too. It's cutting my swing off. Even my last swing the night before, I lined out to center and it was a one-handed swing. I tried to fight through it and it kept tightening up, tightening up and it eventually got to this point now." Wong, who will be examined and undergo tests Monday in St. Louis, said he first felt tightness in the elbow May 21 but it had gotten to the point where it was playable. Manager Mike Matheny said, "I thought it was something in the past. Everything we were getting from the medical team, all the treatments were going well. For that to happen, put us on high alert. We're short on our bench already (because outfielder Stephen Piscotty is away from the team for personal reasons).

RHP Greg Holland, pitching for the first time in six days, gave up a homer to Paul DeJong on his first major league at-bat leading off the ninth. Holland then retired the next three batters, two on strikeouts. It was just the second time in 21 appearances that Holland has been scored upon, breaking his string of 12 straight scoreless outings totaling 10 2/3 innings since April 18, when he yielded two runs. The homer was the first off Holland this season. Holland, whose ERA rose from 0.96 to 1.37, has allowed 10 hits and three runs in 19 2/3 innings with six walks and 28 strikeouts.

RF Gerardo Parra went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer and two runs scored Sunday. He tied his season high with three hits. It was his fourth three-hit game of the season and first since May 5 against Arizona. The three-run homer was Parra's first since Aug. 21, 2015. He has six homers this season, one shy of his 2016 total in 102 games.

OF AJ Pollock continues rehabbing his strained groin at the Diamondbacks' spring training facility and is showing improvement but manager Torey Lovullo still doesn't have a timetable for Pollock's return. "I can't give you a thought as to the exact date when he's going to return," Lovullo said. "I just know it's progressing very well with how he's feeling." Pollock has been on the disabled list since May 15.

RHP Taijuan Walker reported no issues Sunday, a day after throwing a bullpen session as he gets past a blister on his right finger that has sidelined him for the last week. Manager Torey Lovullo said that Walker will throw a simulated game either Monday or Tuesday when the Diamondbacks travel to Pittsburgh.

2B Brandon Drury matched a season high with three hits Sunday against Milwaukee, marking his 13th multi-hit game of the season. Drury, who is hitting .286, has recorded at least one hit in four of his last five games.

1B Paul Goldschmidt was out of the starting lineup for the first time since April 24, and just the second time all season, but entered the game as a pinch-hitter in the eighth inning and has appeared in all 51 of Arizona's games this season. He appeared in 158 games last season and 159 the year before.

2B Jonathan Villar was dropped out of the Brewers' leadoff spot Sunday against Arizona. Villar established himself as Milwaukee's top-of-the-order option last season when he batted .285 with 62 stolen bases but has struggled this season, posting a .219 average after a two-hit game Sunday, and has struck out 62 times.
