Neshek entered with one out in the seventh and the Phillies leading 6-4 but immediately gave up a double to C Travis d'Arnaud and a pinch-hit RBI single to INF Wilmer Flores. After striking out OF Curtis Granderson, Neshek surrendered the go-ahead two-run homer to 2B Asdrubal Cabrera. Entering Saturday, Neshek had allowed just two runs in his first 31 2/3 innings this season. The rough outing Saturday ended Neshek's scoreless streak at 18 innings and lifted his ERA from 0.57 to 1.39. Neshek is 2-2 with one save in 35 games this season.

RHP Pat Neshek continued to make his case for a spot on the National League All-Star team Friday, when he tossed a scoreless eighth inning in the Phillies' 2-1 loss to the Mets. Neshek allowed one hit and struck out one as he lowered his ERA to 0.57, the lowest among major league relievers. He has thrown 18 straight scoreless innings, which is the second-longest active streak in baseball. Boston Red Sox RHP Joe Kelly has tossed 19 1/3 consecutive scoreless frames. Neshek is 2-1 with one save in 34 games this season.

RHP Pat Neshek made his season debut Wednesday night, pitching one scoreless inning with two strikeouts in a 2-0 loss at Cincinnati. Manager Pete Mackanin said prior to the game that he wanted to get Neshek and LHP Joely Rodriguez some work, and a 6 2/3-inning outing by RHP Jerad Eickhoff allowed him to use Neshek and Rodriguez in succession. Neither allowed a run.

Neshek suffered a blown save and recorded just one out Wednesday, giving up one earned run on two hits in a 6-5 loss to the Angels.

The submarine right-hander hasn't been sharp of late, giving up runs in four of his last nine outings. Neshek has seen his ERA expand to 3.54, his highest total since 2011.

Neshek (3-5) took the loss in relief Wednesday after allowing two runs on one hit and two walks over just one-third of an inning against the Mariners. He also committed a throwing error to first base after fielding a sacrifice bunt.

The 34-year-old reliever struggled for the second night in a row Wednesday after allowing a two-run homer the night prior. Despite the rough patch, Neshek still owns a solid 3.33 ERA and 0.97 WHIP with a 48:10 K:BB ratio over 48.2 innings this season.

Neshek (3-2) struggled on Friday, allowing two solo home runs while getting just one out in a 6-4 loss to Arizona on Friday.

Neshek was called on in the 10th inning in a 4-4 game and proceeded to allow two consecutive homers that eventually saddled him with the loss. It's a bit surprising to see Neshek with an ERA at 3.00 as his 0.82 WHIP would indicate that his ERA should be more in the 2.00 range. The long ball is his major weakness right now as six of the 26 hits he's allowed this season have gone over the fence.

Through 42 appearances with the Astros this season, Neshek (3-1) has a 2.65 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 33:6 K:BB ratio over 37.1 innings.

The 34-year-old reliever currently ranks third in all of baseball with 22 holds.

Neshek earned his 10th hold of the season Wednesday against the A's.

The veteran right-hander pitched one-third of an inning for the second consecutive night, and while he allowed a double off the bat of Brett Lawrie, the runner did not come around to score. Neshek leads the Astros with 19 appearances this season and ranks third in MLB with 10 holds.

Neshek earned a one-out save Tuesday against the A's.

Luke Gregerson made a mess of what started as a non-save situation in the ninth inning, and Neshek was called upon to record the last out of the game. He struck out Billy Burns on three pitches to preserve a 6-4 win and earned his first save with the Astros.
