Diamondbacks transferred LHP Matt Reynolds from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.

The move was made in order to clear room on the 40-man roster for Chris Owings. Reynolds has already missed nearly two months with a slight UCL tear, so this doesn't affect his timetable. It's possible he'll return late in the year, but it's more likely that he'll be out until spring training.

Morales was up and down with the Rox in 2010 and can have control issues, but his upside is significant.

The 25-year-old left-hander has a 2.62 ERA and 1.18 WHIP in 50 appearances with Triple-A Colorado Springs this season, posting an impressive 67/16 K/BB ratio over 55 innings. He has held left-handed batters to a meager .171 batting average this season. Look for him to stick with the team as a left-handed specialist in the long-term.
