Tue Sep 3 201320:20Matt Reynolds moved to 60-day DL
Diamondbacks transferred LHP Matt Reynolds from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.
The move was made in order to clear room on the 40-man roster for Chris Owings. Reynolds has already missed nearly two months with a slight UCL tear, so this doesn't affect his timetable. It's possible he'll return late in the year, but it's more likely that he'll be out until spring training.

Mon Aug 19 201321:14Matt Reynolds throwing from 100 feet
Matt Reynolds (elbow) has been throwing from a distance of 100 feet.
It's not clear when Reynolds will be ready for mound work, but the Diamondbacks remain hopeful that he can return late in the season. He's been out since June 10 with a slight tear in the ulnar collateral ligament of his left elbow.

Wed Jul 24 201308:49Matt Reynolds (elbow) cleared to throw
Matt Reynolds (elbow) is scheduled to throw Wednesday for the first time since being placed on the disabled list.
Reynolds has been shut down for six weeks due to a slight tear in the ulnar collateral ligament of his left elbow. He'll start out by playing catch and will build up his workload as long as there are no setbacks, which is obviously no guarantee. The 28-year-old southpaw had a 1.98 ERA in 30 appearances prior to the injury.

Tue Jun 11 201321:09Matt Reynolds diagnosed with slight UCL tear
Matt Reynolds has been diagnosed with a slight tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow.
Reynolds will receive a second opinion, but the plan for now is to shut him down for six weeks before he can hopefully begin a throwing program. Of course, anytime the UCL is compromised, the possibility of Tommy John surgery is there. Either way, it's unfortunate for the D'Backs bullpen, as Reynolds holds a 1.98 ERA and 1.10 WHIP this season.

Mon Jun 10 201318:41Matt Reynolds lands on DL with elbow strain
Diamondbacks placed LHP Matt Reynolds on the 15-day disabled list with a left elbow strain.
Reynolds struggled in his last two appearances, and perhaps now we know why. It's not clear at this point how long he'll be sidelined. It's a blow to the Arizona bullpen, as the lefty boasts a 1.98 ERA and 1.10 WHIP this season.

Wed Apr 24 201319:54Matt Reynolds converts another save
Matt Reynolds nailed down his second save of the season with a scoreless 10th inning in Wednesday's win over the Giants.
David Hernandez got the save chance in the ninth with J.J. Putz having the day off, but he allowed a game-tying homer. Manager Kirk Gibson then went to Reynolds, who converted his second save in as many days. The lefty has yet to allow a run this season and looks to be third in line for saves in Arizona.

Thu Mar 24 201103:43Reynolds back on track
Seeking to lock up a bullpen spot, Matt Reynolds finally is pitching well after a very rough spring.
Heading into Monday's game against the Giants, Reynolds had given up three home runs on 11 hits in four innings. His two hitless and scoreless innings against San Francisco should get him back on track.

Sat Dec 25 201010:13Rox trust Reynolds, Morales
The Denver Post's Troy Renck thinks the Rockies aren't interested in re-signing Joe Beimel because they trust Matt Reynolds and Franklin Morales as their lefties in the bullpen.
Renck adds the caveat that the Rox are trusting them "with fingers crossed," but we like the idea of rolling with Reynolds and Morales and not committing any money to Beimel. Reynolds is coming off a fantastic year, posting a 2.00 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 17/5 K/BB ratio over 18 innings with the Rockies following a turn in Triple-A that was equally impressive. Morales was up and down with the Rox in 2010 and can have control issues, but his upside is significant.

Thu Aug 19 201013:52Rockies call up Matt Reynolds
Rockies recalled LHP Matt Reynolds from Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Reynolds will take the roster spot left by Brad Hawpe. The 25-year-old left-hander has a 2.62 ERA and 1.18 WHIP in 50 appearances with Triple-A Colorado Springs this season, posting an impressive 67/16 K/BB ratio over 55 innings. He has held left-handed batters to a meager .171 batting average this season. Look for him to stick with the team as a left-handed specialist in the long-term.

He'll take the place of Brad Hawpe on the roster, who was released after Wednesday's game. Reynolds, 25, has a 2.62 ERA and 1.18 WHIP in 50 appearances with Triple-A Colorado Springs this season, averaging 11.0 K/9 and 2.6 BB/9.
