With the expanded rosters and the A's long out of contention, this appears to just be a day off for Burns. 2015 has been a fantastic rookie season for Burns as he sits at .295 through 509 at-bats with 26 steals. The stolen bases have slowed down with only one in September, but he appears to be locked into the center field job to start next season for the A's and should be a solid source of steals in 2016.

Burns went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a double in a 5-4 win over the Giants on Friday.

The power is a bit of a surprise for Burns, s it was just his fifth homer and 16th double of the season. If he can find some power next season, Burns would become a must own in all formats with his formidable batting average and ability to steal and score atop the A's lineup.

Burns (hamstring) is back in the lineup Saturday against the Astros.

After logging two at-bats off the bench Friday in his first appearance following a seven-game absence, Burns will return to center field and atop the order Saturday to face lefty Scott Kazmir. The switch-hitting Burns is batting .322/.359/.425 against left-handed pitching this season, compared to .288/.326/.372 against right-handers.
