DH Edwin Encarnacion's three-run double in the third inning Friday brought his season total to 107 RBIs. That's the most by an Indians player since Victor Martinez had 114 in 2007. Encarnacion's 107 RBIs are the most by an Indians right-handed hitter since Juan Gonzalez had 140 in 2001.

DH Edwin Encarnacion's two-run single in the first inning and solo home run in the seventh gives him 103 RBIs for the season. He also has 101 walks, and becomes the fifth player in Indians history with 100 RBIs and 100 walks in the same season. The last to do it was Travis Hafner in 2007.

Encarnacion has reached safely in 30 straight games and extended his hitting streak to eight games. During that stretch, Encarnacion is hitting .407 with two doubles, three home runs, nine RBIs and has five multi-hit games.

1B/DH Edwin Encarnacion hit his 32nd home run of the season leading off the sixth inning of Friday's first game against Detroit. The home run broke a 1-1 tie and looked until the eighth as though it would be the game-winner. Manager Terry Francona only had four players start both games, and Encarnacion was one of them. In the second game, Encarnacion walked twice, singled, doubled and scored three times.

DH Edwin Encarnacion entered Wednesday's doubleheader with three hits in his previous 29 at-bats. He did not play in the first game but hit his 31st homer in the second game. It is the sixth straight season that Encarnacion surpassed 30 homers. He also hit 10 homers this month. He is the first Indians hitter to post double-digit homers in a month since Travis Hafner slugged 13 in August 2006.
