With the left-handed Brandon Finnegan set to take the hill for the Reds, Lind will take a seat Friday. Jason Rogers will continue to see starts at first base in his stead against southpaws, batting fifth.

Lind is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.

The Brewers will sit Lind with the Pirates' tough lefty Francisco Liriano taking the mound. The 32-year-old has now hit the bench in five of the Brewers' last eight games against left-handed starters. Jason Rogers will get the start at first base, hitting fifth.

Lind is out of the lineup for the second game in a row in Saturday's game against the Reds.

While that doesn't sound good at first, it makes plenty of sense when you consider this is Game 1 of a doubleheader and against a left-handed starter. The veteran will likely appear in Game 2, while Jason Rogers takes over first base for now.

Lind is out of Thursday's lineup against the Pirates.

Lind will receive the day off with a tough lefty on the mound in Francisco Liriano. He did start Tuesday against a southpaw, going 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI on the night, but the veteran first baseman tends to take days off against them. Jason Rogers will replace him at first base Thursday, batting fifth for the Brewers.
