Lindgren was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday.
He gave up a run in each of his last two appearances, and will continue to offer organizational bullpen depth going forward. Jose Ramirez was recalled to take Lindgren's vacated bullpen spot.

Lindgren pitched two scoreless innings with two strikeouts in his Major League debut in Monday's win over the Royals.
Lindgren looked solid in the outing as he didn't allow a hit over the two innings, but he did hand out a pair of free passes. The 22-year-old was great in Triple-A this season to the tune of a 1.23 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 22 innings, but entered Monday's contest when the Yankees led 14-1, so the club may not be ready to use him in higher leverage situations just yet.

Lindgren had his contract purchased from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday.
The 22-year-old has been highly impressive at Triple-A this season, supplying a 1.23 ERA and 11.8 K/9 rate over 22 innings. He'll likely function as a multi-inning reliever out of the bullpen for the Yankees.
Sat May 23 201517:12Lindgren will be recalled for Sunday's game
Lindgren will be recalled for Sunday's game, the New York Post's Joel Sherman reports.
The Yankees got rocked by the Rangers on Saturday, and needed Esmil Rogers and Branden Pinder to each eat three innings out of the bullpen, so reinforcements were needed. Lindgren will be the fourth lefty in the Yankees' bullpen, so he may not be up with the team for long. He has a 1.23 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 22 innings at Double-A so far this season.
Mon Mar 30 201509:39Lindgren re-assigned to minor league camp Sunday
Lindgren was re-assigned to minor league camp Sunday, the YES Network reports.
Lindgren is just 22 years old and has only eight games of experience above the High-A level so it's not altogether surprising that he didn't break camp with the parent club, but the lefty had an impressive spring as he struck out 10 and allowed just one earned run in 7.1 innings of work. He'll likely need to prove himself at the upper levels of the team's minors, but it's possible he makes his major league debut in the 2015 season.
