SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder Yasiel Puig has crashed into a wall chasing a foul ball and was taken out of the first game of a doubleheader with the San Francisco Giants because of soreness in his left hip.Puig made a running one-handed catch and ran into a padded wall at AT&T Park while chasing down Nick Hundley's deep foul to end the first inning. Manager Dave Roberts and team trainers rushed out and ran down the right field line as Puig dropped to the turf before getting to one knee.Puig remained on one knee for several moments, then got to his feet and walked slowly into the Dodgers' dugout. On the day the Kansas City Royals welcomed back Mike Moustakas, they found out Jorge Bonifacio will miss half the season.Bonifacio was suspended 80 games by Major League Baseball on Saturday after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance.The outfielder was banned after a positive test for Boldenone. C Nick Hundley agreed to a one-year, $2.5 million contract to remain with the San Francisco Giants, the team announced Tuesday. Hundley, 34, batted .244 with nine homers and 35 RBIs last season while serving as Buster Posey's backup. Hundley hit .249 for his career with 81 homers and 340 RBIs in 847 games with San Diego Padres, Baltimore Orioles, Colorado Rockies and Giants.

C Nick Hundley was honored before the game with the presentation of the Giants' annual Willie Mac Award, identifying the club's most inspirational player in 2017. The award is named after Giants Hall of Famer 1B Willie McCovey. The first-year Giant played in his 100th game of the season Friday night, making his 64th start.
