Denorfia was removed from Monday's game against the Cardinals in the top of the third inning with a suspected hamstring injury, MLB.com's Carrie Muskat reports.
Denorfia appeared to suffer the injury while advancing from first to third base on a single by Addison Russell, as he was immediately replaced by Junior Lake. The reserve outfielder was making a rare spot start for Jorge Soler, but that may be last we see of him for a while. Denorfia had only recently returned to action after the hamstring injury resulted in him opening the season on the DL, so if he did in fact aggravate it, another trip to the DL may await.

Denorfia (hamstring) played an inning in left field but did not bat Friday against the Brewers.
Denorfia's hamstring has been bothering him all season. He has just 15 at-bats during the season's first month.

Denorfia is still recovering from the hamstring injury that kept him on the DL to start the season, Mark Gonazles of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Denorfia will remain out of the lineup Tuesday for the third straight game, and it was revealed that he's still dealing with some lingering effects of the hamstring injury. As a result, he should be considered day-to-day. Junior Lake will get the start in center field Tuesday.

Denorfia went 1-for-4 in Wednesday's game against Pittsburgh after subbing in for the injured Dexter Fowler (groin).
It seems like Denorfia could be in line for extra playing time if Fowler's injury lingers, so NL-only owners should keep an eye out for news on that front.
Fri Apr 17 201511:01Denorfia activated from DL
Denorfia has been activated from the DL, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.
With Denorfia back, the Cubs will likely platoon him with Chris Coghlan, their other veteran corner outfielder. A platoon obviously limits both's fantasy value, so look elsewhere ideally if you need a left fielder.
Sun Apr 5 201515:35Denorfia (hamstring) placed on 15-day DL on Sunday
Denorfia (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day DL on Sunday, MLB.com's Carrie Muskat reports.
Denorfia has just began running bases, and still appears to be roughly a week or so away from being game-ready. Look for the veteran to resume a reserve outfield role in mid-to-late April.
Wed Apr 1 201522:18Denorfia (hamstring) ran bases Wednesday
Denorfia (hamstring) ran the bases Wednesday, but he's still expected to start the year on the disabled list, MLB.com's Carrie Muskat reports.
It does not sound like Denorfia will be out long, and with the Cubs expected to backdate the stint, he may only miss a handful of games. He's expected to share left field with Chris Coghlan this year.
Mon Mar 30 201512:28Denorfia (hamstring) will take on-field batting practice Monday
Denorfia (hamstring) will take on-field batting practice Monday, MLB.com's Carrie Muskat reports.
He does not want to speculate about whether he will be ready for Opening Day, but even if he is able to get right in time for the start of the regular season Denorfia's role as a utility outfielder will limit his fantasy value.

Denorfia is nursing a sore hamstring and manager Joe Maddon said his Opening Day availability is in jeopardy, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.
Denorfia hasn't played in an official spring game in over a week -- he did make an appearance in a "B" game back on the 21st -- and this explains why. With Denorfia in danger of missing the start of the year as a result of the injury, Junior Lake could be a dark horse candidate to make the team and earn some starts against left-handed pitching early on.

Though Denorfia appears to be a lock to make the Cubs, he hasn't played in over a week.
No injury has been reported, but Denorfia's last appearance in a game came on Mar. 17. Though he could find himself in a platoon with Chris Coghlan this year and is a veteran, one would think he would accidentally get into a game in the final weeks of the exhibition season.
Wed Dec 31 201414:28Chris Denorfia: Signs With Cubs
Denorfia has agreed to a one-year, $2.5 million deal with the Cubs, CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports.
On a team like the Cubs, good veterans are important in a clubhouse to show the rookies and second year players how to be professionals, and that will likely be Denorfia's primary role. He has a .292 career average against lefties, and is capable of playing all three outfield spots, but it is in the Cubs' best interest to give most of the at-bats to the young pieces on the roster, meaning Denorfia will likely start the majority of games in 2015 in the dugout.

Denorfia hit his first home run as a Mariner and got on base four times in Thursday's 10-2 demolition of the Rangers.
In addition to hitting his second homer of the season, Denorfia doubled, drew a pair of walks and scored three runs. A heck of a nice game for a guy who hadn't picked up a hit since Aug. 23.

Denorfia (neck) is in the lineup at designated hitter Sunday against the Nationals, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
Denorfia had gone unused for the previous five games after reporting neck stiffness earlier in the week. The Mariners will ease him back to action by getting him some at-bats at DH, but it shouldn't be long before he returns to right field duties. He'll likely be used in something of a platoon with Endy Chavez and James Jones in the outfield.
Sat Aug 30 201416:48Denorfia (neck) remains out of lineup Saturday against Nationals
Denorfia (neck) remains out of the lineup Saturday against the Nationals, the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Denorfia is set to miss a fifth straight start Saturday as a result of neck stiffness. This may very well have been a DL situation earlier in the season, but the upcoming roster expansion will allow the Mariners the flexibility to wait several more days to see how he progresses.
Wed Aug 27 201418:57Denorfia (neck) did not play in Wednesday's game against Rangers
Denorfia (neck) did not play in Wednesday's game against the Rangers.
Although manager Lloyd McClendon said Denorfia "probably could play" Wednesday, the 34-year-old ended up sitting out a second straight day due to neck stiffness. Given his progress and the fact that he'll be afforded another day of rest with the team off Thursday, it seems likely Denorfia will be available for Friday's series opener against Washington.
Wed Aug 27 201414:49Denorfia's neck has improved
Denorfia's neck has improved, and manager Lloyd McClendon said that the outfielder "probably could play" Wednesay, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News-Tribune reports.
Denorfia was scratched from the lineup Tuesday due to a stiff neck, but the ailment has subsided, resulting in his (likely) available status going forward. Since he was trade to the Mariners at the trade deadline, he's posted a .244/.271/.311 line with three RBI and four runs in 45 at-bats.
Tue Aug 26 201419:39Denorfia late scratch Tuesday with stiff neck
Denorfia was a late scratch Tuesday with a stiff neck, MLB.com's Greg Johns reports.
It doesn't sound like Denorfia's ailment is very serious, but he's not much of a fantasy option, despite finding his way into the Mariners' lineup most days. Endy Chavez will get the start in right field and Denorfia should be considered day-to-day.
Fri Aug 22 201414:49Denorfia not in lineup Friday
Denorfia is not in the lineup Friday, MLB.com's Greg Johns reports.
He has started five of the Mariners' last eight games, but will relinquish right field duties to Endy Chavez on Friday. In 13 games since joining the Mariners, Denorfia is hitting .243 with zero home runs and zero steals, accurately displaying his lack of value in most formats.
Mon Aug 18 201415:22Denorfia not in lineup Monday
Denorfia is not in the lineup Monday, the Tacoma News Tribune's Bob Dutton reports.
With the Mariners playing in Philadelphia, there won't be a DH option for this series, and Denorfia will be the first casualty, with Logan Morrison shifting to right field Monday.
Mon Aug 18 201410:17Denorfia 3-5 with triple and RBI in Sunday's win over Tigers
Denorfia went 3-for-5 with a triple and an RBI in Sunday's win over the Tigers.
Denorfia had really struggled since the trade to the Mariners, as the triple was his first extra-base hit since coming over. This upcoming week could be tough for him - the Mariners face just one left-hander, and that one left-hander is Cole Hamels.
