Mon Jul 29 201322:43Brandon Snyder homers in Boston's loss
Brandon Snyder homered off David Price for the Red Sox's only run in Monday's loss to the Rays.
Unfortunately, that homer probably bought him the at-bat against Joel Peralta in the eighth in which he hit a routine fly to left with the tying run on third. If not for the homer, there's a good chance Mike Carp, a better bat against righties, would have been up in his place. The medium-depth fly ended up resulting in an out at home plate because Jerry Meals was in terrible position and blew the call, denying Snyder a sac fly and the Red Sox the tying run in a game they lost 2-1.

Tue Jul 2 201323:46Snyder delivers three-run double against SD
Brandon Snyder hit a bases-loaded, three-run double to help the Red Sox beat the Padres on Tuesday.
Snyder was playing third base as Jose Iglesias manned shortstop, and he made his presence felt with the double in the fourth inning. He has five RBI in just three games since being recalled and could continue to see at-bats while Stephen Drew is ailing. Despite that, there's still little reason to pay him any mind in fantasy leagues as of now.

Brandon Snyder hit a pinch-hit solo homer in the ninth inning on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough to best the Royals.
Snyder is now hitting .333 with three homers and eight RBI in just 30 at-bats for the Rangers. Should he find his way into regular playing time at first base or in the outfield, he would become a very intriguing sleeper for those in deeper mixed and AL-only fantasy leagues.

Mon May 7 201221:53Brandon Snyder drives in six as Rangers roll
Brandon Snyder teed off against his former team Monday, going 3-for-5 with a homer and six RBI in a win over the Orioles.
With Adrian Beltre ailing, Snyder got the start at the hot corner and came up big. He's proved to be a decent spot starter for manager Ron Washington, as he also went deep last week in his last start. The reality, though, is that his playing time will be limited, as will his fantasy value.

Brandon Snyder hit his first big-league homer and walked Wednesday against the Blue Jays.
Snyder has made four starts against lefties this season and gone 5-for-13 in those games. He has just one additional at-bat off the bench. Unless he sees his role expand, he won't have any fantasy value at all. Still, up to this point, he's done nice work for Texas.

Brandon Snyder is expected to be called up to replaced the injured Derrek Lee (oblique) on the roster.
Snyder is batting .276/.342/.455 with five home runs at Triple-A Norfolk. He should be in line for some playing time at first base with Lee out, but the Orioles figure to move Luke Scott to first on most days, with Felix Pie taking over in left field.

Sat Mar 12 201116:36Orioles' Snyder homers, doubles
Brandon Snyder went 3-for-4 with a homer and a double Saturday against the Astros.
It doesn't look like Snyder is going to make it as an everyday first baseman, so the Orioles have let him resume working out as a catcher in an attempt to increase his versatility. Even though he's hitting .360 in 24 at-bats, he's not a realistic candidate to win a bench spot coming out of spring training.

Tue Feb 15 201118:49Snyder will catch during spring training
Brandon Snyder will get an opportunity to catch this spring.
Snyder was originally drafted as a catcher in 2005, but moved to first base after shoulder surgery and the emergence of Matt Wieters in the organization. The 24-year-old hasn't developed enough pop to be a legitimate option at first base, but getting back behind the plate -- even in an emergency capacity -- could improve his chances of earning a spot on a major league roster.

Wed Sep 1 201015:10O's call up Brandon Snyder from minors
Orioles recalled 1B Brandon Snyder from Triple-A Norfolk.
Snyder was batting .257/.324/.407 with nine homers and 43 RBI over 339 at-bats with the Tides. The former 2005 first-round pick has failed to develop much power at all, limiting his long-term upside at a power position.
