The Rockies' leader in bullpen innings (35 1/3) suffered the injury Saturday in Los Angeles against the Dodgers. The move was made retroactive to Sunday, meaning he'll be eligible to be reinstated when the Rockies play their first home game after the All-Star break on July 18 against Tampa Bay.

Someone had to get the ax with Anibal Sanchez returning from the disabled list on Sunday, and Miller happened to be the casualty. The 26-year-old posted a 3.48 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 5/1 K/BB ratio in 10 1/3 innings with the Tigers this season. He'll be back the next time that they need a bullpen arm.
