Herrera went 2-for-4 with an RBI for Triple-A Las Vegas in what was likely his final rehab game Tuesday, as he is expected to rejoin the Mets in time for Wednesday's game, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports.
There is no official word about Herrera getting activated, but it seems like a forgone conclusion at this point. He should see somewhat regular playing time at second base and third base with both David Wright and Daniel Murphy dealing with injuries, and is worth an add in most mid-sized or deeper formats.

Herrera (finger) is expected to rejoin the Mets on Wednesday barring a setback in the final rehab game Monday, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.
Herrera was expected to rejoin the club at some point this week, and Wednesday appears to be the date slated for return. It's unclear what role he'll serve in upon his return, but he should remain in the mix for some starts at second base.
Sun Jun 7 201513:58Herrera (finger) expected to be activated within week
Herrera (finger) is expected to be activated within the week, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
Herrera, along with Travis d'Arnaud, have recently moved their rehab assignments to Triple-A Las Vegas after collecting a handful of at-bats with High-A St. Lucie. It's unclear how Herrera will fit into the current infield situation, but with Daniel Murphy (quad) on the disabled list, there should be some reps to go around.

Herrera (finger) played a full game in the field for High-A St. Lucie on Saturday and could move up a level shortly.

Herrera (finger) started his rehab assignment at High-A St. Lucie on Thursday. He went 1-for-3 with a double and played the field for five innings.
Herrera, who landed the disabled list with a broken middle finger sustained on May 15, likely will need 7-10 days to be ready to rejoin the Mets. With Ruben Tejada now moving to second base and Daniel Murphy to third, Herrera could slot back as the starter at second when he is activated.
Wed Jun 3 201518:37Herrera (finger) expected to begin rehab assignment Thursday
Herrera (finger) is expected to begin a rehab assignment Thursday, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
Herrera recently resumed light baseball activities, and it appears he has progressed to the point where he can resume playing in games. It's clear how many rehab games Herrera will need before rejoining the big club, but he figures to be back with the Mets in the next week or two barring any setbacks.

Herrera (finger) has started to throw a baseball and lightly swing a bat, ESPN New York reports.
Herrera has been out since May 15 with a fracture to the tip of his right middle finger suffered in pre-game warm ups. There still is no timeframe for his return, as it will depend on if he still has pain in the digit.

Herrera (finger) isn't considered close to returning from the disabled list, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports.
Herrera was able to run and field grounders at the Mets' spring training facility in Port St. Lucie, but continues to wear a splint on his fractured right middle finger and has yet to resume throwing or hitting. The Mets' infield depth has been tested with David Wright (back) also unavailable in addition to Herrera, leaving Eric Campbell and Ruben Tejada to see regular work at third base.

Herrera (finger) is fielding grounders and doing other athletic activity, but he continues to sport a splint and and can't grip a baseball or bat, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
Herrera remains a ways off from a return, and the fact that he still needs a splint solidifies that. He continues to work his way back from a fractured middle finger tip, but the timetable remains pretty open-ended at this point.
Sat May 16 201520:44Herrera (finger) placed on 15-day disabled list Saturday
Herrera (finger) was placed on the 15-day disabled list Saturday.
Herrera fractured the tip of his finger in fielding drills Friday, and it has resulted in an unsurprising move to the disabled list. The Mets recalled Eric Campbell Saturday to take his place, moving Daniel Murphy back to second base.
Fri May 15 201521:05Dilson Herrera: Fractures Tip Of Middle Finger
Herrera fractured the tip of his middle finger during fielding drills Friday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
The reason for Herrera's absence Friday was initially listed as a torn fingernail, but a fracture was found upon further examination. With Herrera presumably headed to the 15-day DL, Ruben Tejada will likely take over the regular second baseman until David Wright (back) returns and pushes Daniel Murphy to the keystone.

Herrera is out of the lineup due to a torn fingernail suffered in after getting hit by a ball in pre-game warm ups, ESPN New York's Kieran Darcy reports.
Herrera has scuffled a bit at the plate lately, but was to play Friday before the injury. It's possible the injury could land him on the disabled list but he is likely just to miss a game or two with it. Ruben Tejada is starting at second base Friday.
Fri May 15 201515:26Herrera out of lineup Friday
Herrera is out of the lineup Friday, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports.
He has been a little cold at the plate, with four hits in his last 18 at-bats and three strikeouts in his last game. Ruben Tejada will get the start at second base Friday and hit eighth.
Tue May 12 201516:46Herrera out of lineup Tuesday against Cubs
Herrera is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Cubs, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
Herrera rattled off seven straight starts following his promotion from Triple-A, but he's now set to sit in favor of Ruben Tejada at second base for the second time in three days. Although Herrera does have a homer, he's just 6-for-26 with the big club so far (.231 average).

Herrera will sit on Sunday with Ruben Tejada starting at second base, the Record reports.
Herrera went 1-for-4 but made an error leading to both Philly runs in the sixth inning. He redeemed himself, turning a tough double-play in the eighth inning to persevere a 3-2 lead and ultimately win for the Mets. Herrera will continue to see most of the action at the keystone while Daniel Murphy plays third in place of David Wright (hamstring/back).

Herrera went 3-for-3 with a homer and three RBI in Wednesday's win over Baltimore.
Herrera started the first four games of his second big league stint by going 1-for-13, but he found his stroke in this one. The 21-year-old was hitting .370 in Triple-A, and he's certainly got pop as well as speed, but when David Wright (hamstring) returns from the DL, Herrera's probably going to head back to Triple-A -- at least until the Mets find a trade partner Daniel Murphy.

Herrera will start at second base and bat seventh Friday against the Nationals, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
The 21-year-old Herrera will face a tough test in his major league debut, former Cy Young winner Max Scherzer. Herrera put together a .370/.402/.506 slash line in 20 games with Triple-A Las Vegas to earn the callup, and it looks like he will play regularly at least in the short term with Daniel Murphy moving over to third base. Perhaps Herrera will head back down for everyday time upon David Wright's return from a hamstring injury, but that's not an absolute certainty.
Thu Apr 30 201523:07Herrera promoted by Mets on Thursday
Herrera was promoted by the Mets on Thursday.
The Mets' middle infield defense has been atrocious the past few games, so Herrera could see immediate playing time. A corresponding move will come Friday. Herrera had gotten off to a slow start, but had picked up his game lately. GM Sandy Alderson had said in the past that Herrera wouldn't be promoted unless he would play. The question now is where, as Herrera is not a shortstop, so it's possible Daniel Murphy moves to third until David Wright (hamstring) returns.
Tue Mar 17 201517:26Herrera optioned to minor league camp Tuesday
Herrera was optioned to minor league camp Tuesday.
This should not come as a surprise, as there is nowhere for him to get consistent at-bats in the big leagues right now, and he still has some things to work on in the minors so he could use regular playing time. Herrera is one of the top-five second base prospects in the minor leagues, although he will need an injury to Daniel Murphy in order to get a shot at the keystone before 2016.
