Wed May 31 202309:37Michael Conforto Day-To-Day With A Heel Issue
San Francisco Giants outfielder Michael Conforto (heel) was removed from Tuesday's 2-1 loss against the Pittsburgh Pirates prematurely after experiencing a heel injury. After the game, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle confirmed that the 30-year-old is dealing with a bruised heel and is day-to-day. Conforto's enjoying a successful first campaign in California, slashing .250/.347/.464 with 11 homers, 32 runs, 28 RBI, and two steals over 49 games. Fantasy managers should check back in for more updates, but hopefully, he's only out a day or two.

Sun May 21 202314:15Michael Conforto Not In Sunday's Lineup
San Francisco Giants outfielder Michael Conforto is absent from the lineup for Sunday's game against Jesus Luzardo and the Miami Marlins. The former first-rounder is slumping this season, hitting just .210, but has gone deep eight times with 24 runs and 19 RBI over 41 games. Bryce Johnson is in the outfield in his place and batting ninth. The 27-year-old has struggled through 17 games with a .167/.188/.267 slash line. Fantasy managers can ignore Johnson in all formats and look elsewhere for a streaming option.

Tue May 16 202316:14Michael Conforto Blasts Fourth Homer In Six Games
San Francisco Giants outfielder Michael Conforto went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI during Monday's win against the Philadelphia Phillies. The 30-year-old is starting to catch fire, hitting 8-for-21 with four round trippers and seven RBI in his last six games. More will be asked of him while fellow righty-masher Joc Pederson is on the injured list. Fantasy managers hope that Conforto can stick in the third spot of San Francisco's lineup since he's slashing .308/.379/.769 in 26 at-bats from there this year. The former all-star also owns a sturdy 51.2% hard-hit rate overall. He has a tough draw, though, on Tuesday versus Zack Wheeler, who Conforto is slugging just .300 against in 20 career at-bats while opposing his former New York Mets teammate.

Thu Apr 20 202307:50Michael Conforto Comes Off Bench, Blasts Two-Run Homer
San Francisco Giants outfielder Michael Conforto (calf) went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Miami Marlins. After missing the last two games due to calf tightness, he pinch-hit for Darin Ruf in the eighth inning. The 30-year-old blasted a two-run shot off Miami Marlins pitcher David Smeltzer to give the Giants a 3-1 lead. He filled in as the team's designated hitter, and it's still being determined when he will return to right field to play defense. Conforto is slashing .233/.377/.512 with four homers, eight RBI, 10 runs, and a stolen base over 14 games in 2023. Fantasy managers should check back Thursday to see if Conforto returns to the lineup before starting him in their leagues.

Mon Apr 17 202317:30Michael Conforto Continues To Sit Out
San Francisco Giants outfielder Michael Conforto (calf) remains out of the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Miami Marlins. The organization was hopeful that Conforto would return here. Sadly, he'll miss his third game in a row due to left calf tightness. The Giants haven't placed Conforto on the injured list yet, so hopefully it's still only a minor issue. The left-handed slugger was able to pinch-hit over the weekend, so he must be doing a little better. Hopefully, he'll be back in the lineup within the next few days.

Sun Apr 16 202312:12Giants Hope Michael Conforto Will Return Monday
San Francisco Giants outfielder Michael Conforto (calf) remains out of the starting lineup on Sunday against the Detroit Tigers and wasn't able to run on Saturday, but manager Gabe Kapler said that the team is hopeful he will return to the starting lineup on Monday against the Miami Marlins. The 30-year-old left-handed hitter will miss his third straight game while dealing with tightness in his left calf, but fantasy managers should be getting him back to begin next week. With Conforto out again Sunday, Heliot Ramos is starting in right field and batting eighth against Tigers left-hander Matthew Boyd. Conforto is off to a bit of a slow start in his first year with the Giants, going 9-for-41 (.220) with three home runs, six RBI, one stolen base and nine runs scored in 13 games played.

San Francisco Giants outfielder Michael Conforto (calf) was pulled out early during Wednesday's game due to left calf tightness. He missed Friday's game because of it, but was able to at least take an at-bat on Saturday. Conforto came off the bench as a pinch-hitter during Saturday's loss to the Detroit Tigers. He struck out as a pinch-hitter, but the good news is that he was able to take the at-bat without any issues. The hope is that Conforto will be able to return to the starting lineup after this game.

Fri Apr 14 202318:35Michael Conforto Remains Out On Friday
San Francisco Giants outfielder Michael Conforto (calf) is out of the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Detroit Tigers. The left-handed slugger was pulled out of Wednesday's contest due to left calf tightness. It appears Conforto is still being bothered by the issue, but he hasn't been placed on the injured list yet. At the moment, fantasy managers should consider Conforto as day-to-day until further notice.

Thu Apr 13 202309:46Michael Conforto Dealing With Calf Tightness
San Francisco Giants outfielder Michael Conforto (calf) exited Wednesday's game against the Dodgers due to left calf tightness. He went 0-for-2 with a run scored before leaving in the fourth inning. The 30-year-old is considered day-to-day. Conforto is off to a solid start in 2023, slashing .225/.367/.450 with three home runs, six RBI, nine runs scored, and a stolen base across 11 games. Bryce Johnson replaced Conforto in Wednesday's contest but exited early and was evaluated for a concussion. Johnson is considered day-to-day. Conforto and Johnson will have extra time to recover as the Giants are off Thursday, and both will look to return to the lineup for Friday's game against the Detroit Tigers. LaMonte Wade Jr. should see an uptick in at-bats if Conforto misses any games.

Mon Apr 10 202318:53Michael Conforto Out Of Starting Lineup Monday
San Francisco Giants outfielder Michael Conforto is out of Monday's starting lineup against the rival Los Angeles Dodgers and left-hander Julio Urias. Conforto is off to an excellent start this season after missing all of the 2022 campaign as he's hitting .250 with three homers, one stolen base, and an .872 OPS across nine games and 43 trips to the plate. However, it's unsurprising to see the lefty-swinging veteran out of the starting lineup against a tough southpaw pitcher as he's just 1-for-9 on the young season off lefties and owns a .695 OPS against them for his career versus an .874 mark off of right-handed pitching.

Thu Apr 6 202318:34Michael Conforto Homers, Drives In Three
San Francisco outfielder Michael Conforto had a big day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a home run. Conforto also drove in three and scored three times with two walks. The lefty-swinging veteran was dropped from second in the lineup to fifth today against Lance Lynn but ended up having his best day of the young season. Conforto's average jumped from .143 to .240 after today's showing and the homer was his second of the year. He has some pop and will help in on-base leagues so he has some fantasy value left in him.

Thu Mar 9 202314:01Michael Conforto Playing The Outfield Thursday
San Francisco Giants outfielder Michael Conforto (shoulder) is playing the outfield in a Cactus League game on Thursday for the first time since 2021. He's officially starting in right field and batting leadoff against the Milwaukee Brewers and right-hander Freddy Peralta. Conforto's shoulder rehab has gone well in spring training, so he'll be a real option for the Giants in right field for the regular season. The 30-year-old left-handed slugger missed all of 2022 after having shoulder surgery, but he appears to be fully healthy now and will be a regular in his first year in the Bay Area. Conforto is tough to project coming off the injury, but he could be a good bet to hit 15 to 20 homers for the Giants and fantasy managers if he can stay healthy.

Wed Feb 22 202300:15Giants To Be Cautious With Michael Conforto This Spring
The San Francisco Giants are expected to be cautious with newly-signed outfielder Michael Conforto this spring, likely playing him as designated hitter for the first two weeks of Cactus League games as he continues to rebuild his throwing arm strength. The 29-year-old missed the entire 2022 season while recovering from shoulder surgery. However, he said his shoulder feels good and the team is hoping to have him ready to start the regular season in the outfield. Conforto presents an interesting fantasy case, as he had several consecutive seasons where he hit at least 27 home runs but had a disappointing 2021 season, which is the last time fantasy managers saw him play. He has a lot to prove, but he could certainly become fantasy relevant again if he is healthy.

Fri Dec 23 202213:05Giants Land Michael Conforto On Two-Year Deal
The San Francisco Giants agreed to a two-year, $36 million deal with free-agent outfielder Michael Conforto on Friday. The Giants lost out on superstar shortstop Carlos Correa this week when they had some concerns about his physical -- he later signed with the New York Mets. Instead, the Giants sign the last marquee free agent on the open market. Conforto, 29, didn't play at all in 2022 after having right shoulder surgery in April, but he should be fully healthy for spring training and can provide some nice power numbers in the Giants outfield if he's healthy. The landing spot isn't ideal for a left-handed power hitter like Conforto, but he does have a career .824 OPS with 132 long balls and 396 RBI in his seven major-league seasons.

Wed Dec 21 202218:05Giants Have Some Interest In Michael Conforto
The San Francisco Giants have some interest in free-agent outfielder Michael Conforto, according to sources. The Giants suddenly have a bunch of money to give players after swinging and missing on star shortstop Carlos Correa, who signed with the New York Mets after the Giants had concerns with Correa's physical. Conforto could end up being one of those players if he's healthy as the Giants look to add some offensive pieces to the mix for 2023. Conforto, like Correa, is represented by agent Scott Boras. The 29-year-old Conforto didn't play at all in 2022 while recovering from right shoulder surgery that he had in mid-April. But he resumed hitting and throwing in November and should be ready for the 2023 season, barring any setbacks. He was an All-Star in 2017 and has a .255/.356/.468 slash line with an .824 OPS and 134 homers in seven seasons with the New York Mets, so he could be a relatively cheap power option for San Fran's outfield.

Tue Dec 20 202200:22Rangers Interested In Michael Conforto
The Texas Rangers are one of several teams showing interest in free-agent outfielder Michael Conforto, per NY Post's Jon Heyman. The 29-year-old did not play in 2022 due to shoulder surgery, but he compiled a .255/.356/.468 slash line in seven seasons with the New York Mets. His 2021 numbers were below those marks with a .232/.344/.384 slash line, 15 home runs and 55 RBI in 479 plate appearances. Conforto has offered considerable power upside throughout most of his career, but it will be difficult to gauge his fantasy value without first knowing where he will be playing and then seeing him play a bit after missing considerable time.

Wed Dec 7 202200:18Astros Interested In Michael Conforto, Andrew Benintendi
The Houston Astros are interested in free-agent outfielders Michael Conforto and Andrew Benintendi as potential options to play left field, per MLB.com's Brian McTaggart. Both are left-handed hitters and would complement the host of right-handed hitters in the Astros' current lineup. Conforto did not play in 2022 due to shoulder surgery, but he compiled a .255/.356/.468 slash line in seven seasons with the New York Mets. Benintendi had a decent season with the Royals and Yankees, slashing .304/.373/.399 with five home runs, 51 RBI and eight steals. While neither offers a ton of upside from a fantasy perspective, either player's value would certainly be higher if they held an everyday role in the Astros' lineup.

Tue Nov 29 202214:56Mariners "Showing Interest In" Michael Conforto
According to a tweet from MLB Network's Jon Morosi on Tuesday, the Seattle Mariners are reportedly "showing interest in" Michael Conforto. Morosi tweeted: "Sources: #Mariners among teams showing interest in free agent OF Michael Conforto, the Redmond (Wash.) High School grade. @MLBNetwork @SeattleSports." The 29-year-old hit .232 with a .344 on-base percentage, 14 home runs, and a stolen base in 479 plate appearances for the New York Mets during the 2021 season.

Fri Nov 25 202213:07Cubs Considering Michael Conforto
The Chicago Cubs are among the teams considering free-agent outfielder Michael Conforto. He is seeking a deal for two years with an opt-out clause. The Cubs are also in touch with free-agent catcher Christian Vazquez, among other catchers. Conforto underwent surgery on his shoulder in April, and although there was a chance he could return to play for a contender late in the season, that never panned out. The 29-year-old left-handed slugger is reportedly back to full health heading into next season, so he should receive plenty of interest on the open market. Conforto was an All-Star in 2017 and hit a career-high 33 home runs while driving in 92 in 151 games as recent as 2019.
